Chapter 13

" Who are you calling mate? " Ethan almost roared, he glared at the vampire and then looked at his sister who was looking at him with a dumbfounded expression. He really did not need an answer to that question.

But before Ethan could say anything else that vampire came forward and carried Emma and ran in the same direction he came from.

" Hey wait!! Where are you taking my sister? " He almost ran after them when he was dragged back by his collar. He looked back to see it was Lukas, he was smirking at him and said " That's enough. They are mates let them be. "

" Yes don't worry Cassius is a good person. You don't need to worry. " Marcus said while trying to hold back his laughter.

It was then Ethan realized that everyone around him were laughing at him. So he nodded but secretly plotted to warn that stupid vampire that he would pull out his fangs if he dare to hurt his sister.

" Marcus you was saying something. " Elina said reminding him of what he wanted to say before Tamara came.

" Yes of course Your Highness. Please come and have a seat, I do have something to discuss with you. " Marcus turned serious

Seeing his look Elina knew it must be important so she followed him inside a small wooden house. Everything inside the house was simple and clean. There was wooden chairs and table on one side there was a kitchen but not even a single modern appliance could be seen. It looked like they have arrived in ancient times. They took chairs and waited for Marcus to talk.

" Your Highness there are 476 people currently living on this mountain. And none of them are bad people. Most of them are born here as their forefathers were sent here. But no matter what they did it has nothing to do with the people currently living here. They all are honest I just want you to consider these people too. " Marcus said solemnly

" You mean to say that they you want them to get back their freedom. " Elina asked

" Yes Your Highness they are suffering for no reason at all. " Marcus said earnestly

Beside him Tamara looked worried she was terribly afraid that her mate would make these people angry because she has heard how indifferent people from Royal family were but at the same point she had a faint hope that maybe they would be rescued.

Elina looked at him and smiled " That is not a problem at all. They can leave after I open the barrier. Also I like this place and it is hidden. Harvey would never doubt that I am here. So I plan to stay and make the plans from here. As for the people as long as they don't talk about me being here there won't be any problem. "

Before Marcus could say anything Tamara spoke " Thank you Your Highness. I am grateful but I know my mate will follow you, Can I follow you too? " She asked with a faint hesitation

" It is not going to be easy. We have a bitter fight ahead of us. " Elina said

" I am a trained fighter too Your Highness. I can hold my ground. " Tamara said with determination.

" Alright right then. " Elina smiled

Marcus just smiled he knew his mate and many others who were born here heard terrible things about Royals and were afraid of them. No matter what he say these people would be skeptical but Her Highness is here and Tamara has already changed her opinion He was sure there are going to be many more who makes the same decision.

On the other side when Emma came to her senses she was already standing at the edge of a waterfall. She can see the entire forest from here. She has never seen anything like it before, she wanted to get in water but was afraid she would fell down.

" So beautiful " Emma whispered

" It is my favorite place. " Cassius spoke from behind " I am Cassius " He was smiling brightly at her. His eyes were shinning

" I am Emma Call me Em though " Emma turned to look at him. She tilted her head to one side and smiled ' He looks handsome no matter how I see' she thought.

" How did you came here? " Cassius asked

Hearing his question she was stunned and remembered why she was here. She did not what to say, she has to stay with Elina but she did not want her mate to risk his life too at the same time she did not want to part with him either.

Seeing she was quiet Cassius thought he asked something he shouldn't after all they have just met she must not feel comfortable to talk about it. So he said " It's fine if you don't want to talk about it. But can you tell me about yourself? " He wanted to know his mate. He had already fallen in love with her the moment he saw her. From the time he was stuck here he believed he will never meet his mate who would have thought she will come here too.

" It's not that I don't want to tell you. It's just that I don't know how to explain. Also I won't be able to stay with you for long. "

The vampire's expression changed " Are.....are you rejecting me? " He was no more confident his hear felt cold yet he tried to make an effort" If there is something you don't like about me I will change it. Please don't leave me. "

She stared open mouthed at him. She was afraid if she let him speak anymore he will scare not only himself but also her. So before he began again she put her hand on his mouth and hurriedly spoke " I am not rejecting you. I am just in a difficult situation and if you stay with me your life will be in danger too that is why I said I can't stay for too long. "

Cassius released a breath he himself didn't knew he was holding. His confidence came back so was his obnoxious behaviour.

He rolled his eyes and said " I can protect myself and if anyone needs to stay away from danger that would be you. It doesn't look like you can fight much. "

Emma has never felt so angry how can he belittle her so much but before she could retort him she heard him continue

" But that doesn't matter now you have me and I won't let anything happen to you. So will you tell me what kind of trouble you are in? "

Emma wanted to show him exactly how powerful she is but when she saw the hidden concern in his words, she didn't say anything instead told him why she and her friends are here.

Elina was standing on a raised platform, in front of her stood hundreds of wolves, some looked at her in fear, some in awe, some in disbelief. All of her friends stood at the side with Marcus and Tamara.

" I know many of you want to get out of this prison and I will open the barrier for you to leave. Marcus has vouched for you all so I hope you don't mention anything that happens here. " After saying her piece she turned around to leave when she heard a young man's voice.

" Your Highness can we follow you? "

" Can you fight? " Elina asked

" Yes Your Highness, Marcus has trained us all. " He replied

" What is your name? "

" Neil. Your Highness "

" You can stay Neil. " She said to him and then looked at others who also looked eagerly at her and smiled " Anyone else who wishes to stay can give their names to Neil, and when you are done bring that list to me Neil. "

Neil was surprised he never thought that Her Highness would be so easy to talk so he hurriedly nodded and went to get the names.

When she return to their side she saw them smiling at her there was slight encouragement too. She looked at back to see Emma was back.

' About time. ' She thought.
