1 Chapter 1: When A Kind Heart Breaks

The Fourth Shinobi Great War.

During the fourth shinobi great war, the five great shinobi villages united against a common and grave threat, Madara Uchiha, who had declared war upon all five villages during the Kage summit, where they refused to give up the remaining tailed beasts, creatures made of immense amounts of chakra.

The armies of all five villages united and fought against Madara and his army of Zetsu, a plant-like life form, and resurrected shinobi.

Inside one of the shinobi camps, the hundreds of dead were neatly packed in rows with blankets covering their bodies, all except for two who had their faces exposed. One was a young man with long black hair, refined features with a faded X mark on his forehead, his expression peaceful as he slept his endless sleep, the other was a young woman, she could have been a beauty if the right side of her face had not been marred with horrific burns.

In front of the two now at peace young ones stood a tall man, he had his hands clenched so tightly one could hear faint sounds of cracks appearing upon his bones. His head was lowered, hiding his face behind his bowl-cut hairstyle as drops of liquefied sorrow fell from his eyes. His face hidden within the shadows of his hair was contorted into an unholy union of grief and anger, that would shock any who knew the man.

A man is known for his positive attitude even in the most destitute of times, always having a stress-relieving smile on his face and pep in his step, was now releasing an aura of pain and despair.

Feeling the power in his legs wain, he kneeled in front of his two students, reaching out his hand and placing it down on their bodies as a shiver ran through him as he felt them, they were so cold, colder than even the harshes winter he had ever felt and it stung him more than any Yuki clans ninjas Ice release could.

"Neji...Tenten...", Their names rolled down his tongue and left a bitter and painful aftertaste, like the most bitter of medicines yet this one would not make him feel better.

"G...Guy-sama", A stuttering voice called out behind him yet there was no response from the man, thus she could only muster her courage and call again, just a bit louder, but it seemed to have worked as the man's head slowly turned in her direction finally showing her his face, causing the kunoichi who called out to him to take a step back involuntarily.

The kunoichi had seen Guy before, either running through the village on his hands or cheering on as his disciple did, he always had a smile on his face with an energetic look on his face, but now it was almost as if she could not recognize him.

'He looks so tired', was the only thing she could think as she stared at him. 'So tired and in so much pain'.

The man rose from where he kneeled looming over her with his tall body, casting a long and dark shadow.

"What is it?", He asked in an emotionless voice.

It took a while for the poor kunoichi to find her voice as she was overwhelmed at this drastic change in the man in front of her, but as a trained shinobi it did not take too long for her to gather herself as she relayed her orders.

"Madara is facing with Tsunade-Sama and the other Kages, there has been a request for reinforcement.", The kunoichi reported.

"I'm on it", Came Guy's reply.

"[Sixth Gate: Gate of Joy]...Open"

With a flash of green the green beast of the leave moved and blinded speeds, to reinforce the Kages in their fight against Madara.

He had been watching over Naruto as the boy learned how to control the massive power within him, as one of the greatest shinobi within the leave it was his duty to guard Naruto of any threads.

After Naruto succeeded Guy was forced to give chance after a shark-like humanoid named Kisame Hoshigaki, who was the wielder of Samehada, one of the seven legendary blades of the and also hailed as the most formidable of the seven blades. The man had used some kind of technique to fuse with his blade and become some kind of shark man.

Although the man was tricky, Guy would not let him escape and quickly dealt with the man for a second time, for they had fought once before with Guy easily claiming victory.

After taking care of Kisame and confiscating Samehada, Guy approached one of the camps to deliver the blade, having handed over the sword Guy was about to join the war when he stumbled onto the bodies of his cherished students, causing his very core to be shocked and his heart to tare in pain.

Although Guy was far from the battlefield, he quickly shortened the distance as he ran at blinding speeds, making his way over to where he could sense the most oppressive chakra signature.

He arrived just in time to save Kakashi from a pair of what looked like black flying balls of death.

"For once you have perfect timing" Kashi made a light jab as he tried to calm his nerves because of the close call.

Although Guy didn't seem like he heard him as he turned towards a pale white man in a white and black robe with black tomoe printed around his collar and black orbs floating behind his back and a black staff with a half-moon formed on its top end.

"Who is that?", Asked Guy, his face frozen over as he looked at the pale man.

"Madara Uchiha", said Kakashi, which caused a shiver to run through Guy as he turned to face the pale man now known as Madara head-on, his eyes fixed upon him and his hands clenched into a deathly vice.

"You won't make any difference", Madara called out as if mocking them, no he was mocking them, he felt nothing for their lives or their deaths, just this thought made the already bulging veins on Guy's body even more prominent. With a quick step, Guy jumped forward to confront Madara.

"Wait guy we need to plan!", Kakashi yelled trying to halt his old friend and eternal rival from rushing to his death, but how could Guy stop when he stood in front of the man responsible for the deaths of his two pupils, although not of his blood he thought of his three pupils as his children.

Standing only a few tens of meters away from Madara, Guy took on a horse stance while crossing his arms in front of his head.

At that moment it hit him, what the pain was that he felt, a pain so great he felt nothing but emptiness hopelessness, and hate... so much hate, the pain that had no name, the pain of a parent witnessing their child's death.

"Tremble before the Blue Beast!!!!"

"[Seventh Gate: Gate Of Shock]...Open!!!"
