Chapter 13 : Penelope
Getting to the castle she took Damien to the garden where she cut some leaves before using her magic to dissolve it to gain its fluid then steaming it she placed her hand on his head and cheeks
"don't move this will heal your wounds " she said before realizing that she was losing her energy she felt drained and a lot weaker before her legs gave way causing her to fall she was shaking but before she could fall to the ground the winds caught her making her fly before dropping her gently to the ground .
"are you okay " Damien asked as he helped her sit up
"yeah i am fine i just felt weak i guess healing you took a lot of energy" she said rubbing her palm
"it seems you are getting stronger with your element control" she said getting up.
"well i guess your way worked better so know i broke your record" he said as he smiled. laughing she walked towards the entrance
"well you are going to have to go back to Alex" she said heading for her room walking the opposite direction Damien headed towards Alex room. He entered the room and saw Alex sitting on the bed looking at him he walked towards him and sat on the chair.
"I want to say" Damien said but was cut off by Alex
"i am sorry for what i did so dont leave it won't happen again" Alex said staring at Damien
"i would increase your wages by fifty percent" Alex said not giving Damien a chance to talk
"fine a hundred percent " Alex said still not letting Damien talk "and since you like the library i will give you a library pass " Alex said. looking at Alex Damien was shocked was he begging him to stay
"stop being so quiet" Alex said looking at Damien who was stunned
"did you hit your head or are you an impersonator?" Damien asked
"stop being like this just take my offer" Alex said looking at him
"i will take it if you can answer my question " Damien said
"what question ?"Alex said
"i thought you didn't like me so why did you change and why dont you want me to leave?" Damien asked
"well not that i dont like you its just that you are pretty dumb in royalty aspects and the first day you came when i hit you you didn't quit even when i gave you a black eye so i knew you weren't like the others who left so i want you to be my friend" Alex said
shocking Damien "dont wear that face i need a friend especially in this situation i need you to be here tomorrow so i would give you anything" Alex said
"well i will take your hundred percent raise and the library pass on one condition you dont hit me again" Damien said smiling
"that's a weird ask i will try not to hit you " Alex said smiling wryly
"wait there's something you want i knew all this was to good to be true what are you getting at " Damien asked
"what i don't want anything much i just need an escort to follow me around when Grandmaster Garcias daughter Penelope comes she is the maid of honor but i am not going to honor her "Alex said smiling
"so what does that have tk do with me " Damien asked
"well i need you to do something simple" Alex said whispering something in Damien's ears
"what i cant do that there are so many ways that can lead to my head on a very large spike or my head rolling "he said looking at Alex
"come on no one is going to kill a servant for having feelings" Alex said scratching his head
"really is that so i am not going to do that her father is a powerful Sorcerer and she a talented witch and i haven't even finished practicing my elementals" Damien said
"and even if i succeed and she follows with it what am i going to do and worse if she doesn't follow through i am going to be in more trouble cause she would ask for my head " Damien said "think of another plan and maybe a much better one then i would go through with it " Damien said walking out of the room.
