Zaramoth the World Crusher

Deep within the abyss in an ancient underground chamber, there was a shimmering dark space. Inside the small chamber, a dim candle brighten the dark room. The candlelight flickered every time something moved inside the chamber.

In the middle of this dark chamber was an old round table. Currently, there was a single middle aged man observing a battle projection on the table. This battle was none other than a part of the Great War five years ago between the players and the demonic beings.

"Seriously, these players were a joke. I don't think this group of people could win against those in Hell'sGate."

The middle aged man complained as he keep rewinding the projection over and over again. He was totally dissatisfied with the current overall strength of the players. Since he was alone in that chamber, there was nobody to talk back to him either.

"The time limit for the training draws near. I don't think there is much hope in this group."

As if struggling against a hard decision, that middle aged man stroked his beard repeatedly while thinking. He was searching for a good way to change the players, to make them stronger.

This middle aged man looks like a human but he clearly was not. Despite his stature and distinct figure totally resembled a normal human, he was fundamentally different. In fact, he was also not someone from this world.

With a complicated face, that middle aged man started tinkering over a bundle of scrap metal at the corner of the small chamber. He wanted to interfere with the current peaceful life of the players for sure. He talked to himself while he busied his hand working on whatever he had just thought of.

At the same time, in a different location, someone was also plotting against the godkins. This someone was none other than the Demon's Crown Prince, Kuribo. The only difference was that the unknown middle aged man from before meddled with those godkins to unlock their fighting prowess while this demon's sole intention was the extermination of those godkins. But again, his plan to decimate godkins was put on hold for now because the most imminent danger to him was from King Hitam Legam.

Kuribo was the strongest demon in this land who ranked third on the insane boss list. His might was only slightly weaker when compared to the second seat, Immortal Phoenix Shalala.

And then, there was also the first ranked insane boss, the dark dragon, King Hitam Legam. He ruled supreme at the demon continent since every living being were well aware of his prowess. He even fought with the previous demon lord on an equal term for days before they acknowledged each other as their equal.

This great black dragon and the demon's crown prince were once under the command of that middle aged man but they managed to break free from the mind control thanks to their exceptional power in addition with the space interference when players were ported into this world en masse. They never knew that their will were once controlled by that middle aged man.

Currently, King Hitam Legam was in his human form. A white haired elder with a long eyebrows and beard like those fictional character from ancient Chinese dynasty. Together with his smooth, metallic black robe with a coiling dragon embroidery, he really looked like a master of a dark martial art school.

With both his hand on his back, he slowly walked toward the other person who was present in the same room as him at the moment. That other person was Kelabu, his representative. The two of them were currently inside the uppermost level of Black Dragon Palace where only those trusted by the black dragon king was permitted to enter.

"What urgent matter came by for you to hastily come reporting yourself?"

"The demon princess managed to catch wind of our plan and she was now on the loose. There was even a possibility for her to seek help from those cave dweller or even the undead."

Right after Kelabu answered the question, a loud cracking sound echoed within the room. The walls at every side of the room cracked from King Hitam Legam's intense killing intent alone.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY? HOW COULD THIS HAPPENED?!!"

He angrily shouted at Kelabu while both his eyes shone dark red. He was totally pissed at the moment. Every word coming out from his mouth carried an immense force enough to shatter the walls of any normal building. If not because this palace had been enhanced by magic, it would without a doubt crumbled every time King Hitam Legam threw a fit of rage.

"I'm sorry, I don't know the details either. Dominic reported that currently the princess is missing and Ebulis is tracking her for now."

"Tch, useless!"

Unable to think of something better to reply back to the king, Kelabu lowered his head without saying anything. He knew that the princess's successful escape would bring real trouble if she managed to get in touch with either the cave dweller or the undead.

Reptilian King Selitis and Overlord Kacing were well known figure throughout demon continent. They ranked thirteenth and sixteenth respectively on the top twenty strongest insane boss list. Not even Ebulis could win against either one of them in a fight.

It wouldn't be a problem for King Hitam Legam, the first rank on the list to defeat them but it would have more complications later on. Because of a certain someone, he couldn't move out freely hence he ended up with these round about ways of doing things.

"Tell Kuriza to track and kill that princess. I feared that this might escalate beyond our control later."

"Yes sir, right away."

Kuriza was also another top ranker in the strongest insane boss list. Kuriza the Death Bringer was ranked sixth on the list, one ranking short to be grouped as the world's five strongest. He was also King Hitam Legam's strongest follower.

--------------------------------------------------------------

"Safe."

"Mira don't know what actually happened but we are safe yehaaaaaa!"

"Barely. Glad it appeared on time."

Everyone voiced out their heartfelt comments after they successfully walked out scratch free from that gruesome attack.

Just before that fierce attack landed at the area where they were standing, earth barriers sprouted out from beneath the very earth. One after another, layers of grey granite barrier surrounded the perimeter, shielding Mays and the rest from that attack.

Five granite barrier in total. Three of them were melted away after holding off the laser beam. Even a hardened granite could melt under the heat of the oppressive laser beam attack.

"What… what just happened? Even an earth elements magic caster can't make that type of sturdy barrier so fast."

Gritting his teeth, Dimes was totally enraged. He was sure that the second attack would without a doubt kill off Mays and his companions. Never would he had imagined that a barrier would suddenly erected from the very earth itself.

"We don't know sir. We have no clue what just happened."

"Tch."

Dimes clicked his tongue as he flew toward the barrier himself. He felt that commanding from afar would be useless with how incompetent his underlings were.

It was then when he saw the earth surface in front of Mays and the rest shakes heavily. Something burrowed out from the very earth and its shape was totally familiar. That things which just came out from the earth was a dragon.

To be exact, a Granite Earth Dragon.

A grey colored large dragon about the same size as the Dark Flame Dragon. It had cruder look with a haggard looking crystals protruding all over its body. Even its wings was somewhat small making those who saw it wondered if this dragon could fly.

"Damn it. He even have another dragon on standby beneath the earth."

Right now, Dimes was in a dilemma. He was thinking what the best course of action would be. At the moment, their vanguard force didn't even have a leader. Babila had been killed by Mays along with several other gold ranked intermediate boss.

He didn't even know how many of them were left. As for those normal boss and normal fighter demonic beings, almost half of them had been wiped out. This fight might be lost cause at this rate. Not if something was done to turn back the tide.

Several demonic beings started attacking again after the dust covering the area cleared out. Those were obviously action without orders. From where Dimes was observing, he realized that those demonic being who were rushing forward were just digging their own grave.

Not even one of them managed to get closer to Mays who was at the center of their formation. With dragons guarding the sides and elite fighters securing the perimeter, there was no way for those unorganized demonic beings to kill them.

The other side was not looking good for the demonic beings either. One shout after another, Grot's fail command echoed at the area.

"Kill them!"

"Target the annoying dragon first!"

Grot never was the leader type. He was the type who rushed ahead toward the battlefield without minding his surroundings. However, the situation at his side prevented him from doing so. Other than Dimes who commanded the demonic beings on the other front, he was the only gold ranked intermediate boss available for the leader's role.

At the moment, the Emerald Thorn Dragon was on the ground, not too far away from the barrier's erected by Aloha. They were currently in the middle of moving every single knight to the dragon's back. They need to meet up with Mays and the rest as planned.

"Move in order. Gather inside the forest."

Golia was monitoring the movement of the knights. The knights on the other hand was looking at him with a depressed look together with a bitter smile.

"Another handsome young man."

"They really came from the land of god."

They even whispered among themselves about how these people couldn't be human. To the knights, these people were just way too perfect to be human.

"Make it fast, soldiers. I'm worried about my master."

Mada who was silent all this time suddenly talked. From his worried face, everyone knew that he had been thinking about the safety of someone important to him. From where they were, they could clearly hear the loud crashing sound of the laser beam.

"Master? I'm sorry for asking but did you really said master?"

Captain Romanov who heard what Mada just said asked for confirmation. He just couldn't believe the fact that these amazing people had someone they called master. How awesome must that person be to have these amazing people as servants?

"That's… That's true. Our master is fighting on that side."

This time, it was Aloha who answered. She was not fighting on the front line like Damia and Erocci so it was easier for her to talk. As for Silvia, she kept her silence despite the fact that she was the one closest to Captain Romanov. Silvia and Mada could easily kill their opponent using bow and gun from afar after all.

It was then when suddenly the very earth itself shook excessively.

The shaking kept getting stronger until the earth cracked.

At the moment, everyone present were shocked senseless.

At the moment, the sky itself darkened.

At the moment, the earth surface fissured.

"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!"

As if the arrival of this gigantic war beast meant the destruction of everything, the world turned silent after one crazy roar from the war beast. Even the dragons trembled in fear upon hearing that domineering roar. These large dragon seemed cute and petite in front of this gigantic war beast. Its size was at least three times larger than these large dragons.

The beast that just appeared was no ordinary beast. It was one of those legendary insane bosses. A hybrid between a mammoth and an octopus. A huge mammoth shaped monster with lots of tentacles sprouting from its back and side. It looks really hideous.

Zaramoth the World Crusher.

Ranked first in the list of strongest silver ranked insane bosses, it was without a doubt the weaker one compared to most gold ranked insane bosses. But Zaramoth was without doubt a heavyweight. In fact, Zaramoth was even stronger than those lower tier gold ranked insane bosses.

A normal full party of decent HeavensTale player couldn't even dream of defeating this monster. Just being decent were far from enough. They need to be the elites, a group of people and spirits with Legend ranked weapon at the very least.

"Master, I don't think Plan C or D might work at this rate. Any better plan for our current situation?"

Syaitona who was calm most of the time started sweating for the first time in this battle. This was like the first time something had gone totally out of their prediction. Nobody would have expected this. Not even the famed wargod himself.

"Sorry Syaitona. I think it's about time for us to use the master plan."

"Master plan? Do we even have something like that?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"This would do for now. It's about time for me to meet my lovely Mays hehe."

After spending hours in the empire for several reason, Ria was finally ready to get back to Mays. She even prepared a great surprise for Mays, something grand enough to make the great Mays astonished.

Waving the spirits rod on her hand, she opened the space crack to where her spirit, Minerva currently was. And the first thing she heard was…

"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!"

Once again, Zaramoth's roar reverberated all over the area. Most of the demonic beings had already moved away from the battlefield. Even the hesitating Dimes was one of the first to move out. As a gold ranked intermediate boss, he knew for sure what this gigantic beast was.

Not yet moving from its previous location, Zaramoth calmly observed it's surrounding as if it was deciding who the enemy it need to kill was.

"RIAAAA! HELP!!"

"Lady Ria! Please help us!"

"…"

"RIAAAAA! RIAAA! HELPPP! PLEASE!"

"Seriously master? This is your so called 'master plan'?"

Both Mays and Mira were shouting wholeheartedly while Syaitona started to look at Mays in a different light. Never would she had thought that her esteemed master who was revered to be one of the famed master strategist could resort to something this foolish.

Ever since Zaramoth had appeared a few seconds ago, the whole area was covered in a thick fog, limiting the eyesight of those present on the area. Zaramoth was totally visible though considering how large its whole body was.

"Syaitona. It seems like you still have more to learn. Miracle might not be called a plan but it was something worth betting one's life for."

"With that said… RIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! I'M IN TROUBLE! HELP!"

Despite the intense battle going on so far, the current Mays was still in his paralyzed state meaning that not even five minutes had passed after he entered Celestial Mode. In his current situation, he knew that the only thing he could do was hoping for a miracle.

Not to mention him being paralyzed, even if he and all his spirits were in best conditions, they would still had a hard time trying to keep up against that monster, let alone defeating it, unless Mays did something unexpected.

"KLOONG!"

"KLOONG! KLOONG!"

One step after another, the gigantic war beast Zaramoth who had been stale all this time finally moved. Each step were heavy enough to shakes the very earth. Its destination was obviously where Mays and the others were at.

"Heheh… Feeling desperate enough to shout for help yet Syaitona? That big guy is approaching."

Even with the hopeless situation in front of him, Mays still had the gall to make a lame joke. Syaitona on the other hand readied her guard, resolving herself to fight it out till the bitter end. She wouldn't readily gave up despite how the whole situation was totally against them. The only thing she couldn't understand was how her master could still acted like nothing was wrong and joked around in this situation.

"LADY RIAA!! HELP US PLEASE!!"

"MASTEERRRR!! HELP US!"

"Tch fine, I'll only do this once. LADY RIAAAAA!! MASTER NEED YOU RIGHT NOW!"

"Hahahha that's more like it."

Laughing it off when Syaitona finally gave in, Mays was still with his happy go lucky attitude. There was not even a slightest trace of fear in his eyes. Even until the last moment when Zaramoth stood directly in front of them, Mays was still determined in doing nothing.

It was when Zaramoth swing its trunk toward Mays that finally he sharpened his look. That was everything he could do since he was still paralyzed. As for Mira and Syaitona, they closed in to Mays as if they tried to at least defend their master from taking the hit head on.

"Bleh, enough watching. Deal with it, Ria!"

"Right away, my love."

Ria's voice was not at all loud but surprisingly everyone present could hear it clearly. It was not shown from her voice but Ria was somewhat shocked when Mays figured her out the moment she arrived a few second ago.

She was not there when Mays started shouting for her but right after she arrived, she noticed that Mays's shout had a trace of pretence within, as if notifying her to play along with it. She then smiled when she remembered how awesome Mays had always been.

Truth be told, Mays still had something else planned if Ria had not showed up. The necklace wrapped on his neck was specially prepared for this situation where he met unexpected danger during the time he was paralyzed. He didnt tell his spirits about this because he wanted them to stop treating him like an omnipotent god. True, he was great at almost everything but he was not perfect. He wanted his spirits to realize that.

"And Minerva, prepare yourself later. We need to have a talk!"

"Reinforced Armor! Knight's Rush! Shield's Bash!"

"SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMM!!"

The loud thundering sound echoed as Ria's attack met the trunk head on. Once again, the strong gush of wind sent all the rocks and sands away, enlarging the crater where Mays and the rest were at. The huge trunk was deflected and Zaramoth was forced to take several steps back while Ria was sent flying to where she came from.

"What is that?"

"Someone deflected Lord Zaramoth's attack?"

"It can't be. Those people were just sitting duck there, unable to do anything."

Most of the demonic beings were shocked when they saw Zaramoth being pushed back. At first, when Zaramoth suddenly appeared, most of them were dumbfounded. They never knew that this ancient boss was actually a part of their vanguard force, a trump card one might say.

Never would they had expected that one of the strongest being of the demonic continent would be pushed back by a human. The fog surrounding the area was not that thick anymore but it was still there. The demonic beings who was quite a distance away couldn't really ascertain what actually happened just now.

Zaramoth who finally stabilized its footing once again marched toward Mays and the rest. This time, both its eyes shone bright red signalling how angry it currently was. Its attack was deflected by a puny human after all.
