CHAPTER 2

We arrive at the Kingdom of Willow woods early than I expect it to be, a 3 days of travel is

short enough the last time was around a week of travel. I guess my stamina increases this

time.

warriors and knights are everywhere, it seems like the kingdom is in a state of emergency as

the security is very tight this time

"Excuse me sir, What is going on here?" I ask to a near vendor

"Ooh you're also a traveler here, there are continues Insect attack in the outskirt and

yesterday it reaches the City wall that's why Queen Dahlia deploy Knights and warriors to

borderlands and to the city walls" the vendor answered

"but why the needs to inspect all of those who enters the City gate? that's annoying and its

trespassing our privacy! hmmp" Lady bug complaint

"there were also various attack of rogues when the Insect attack happens" - The vendor

added

"Rogues again!!" Lady bug exclaimed

A loud stamped echoed in the busy street of Willow woods, A various knights are rushing

towards the exit riding a Mantis

"Lady Dahlia?" the vendor uttered

"whose Lady Dahlia? " I asked"Her majesty the queen of Willow woods! there might be another attack going on, I Gotta

closed my store, Excuse me traveler!!" the vendor said and quickly closes its store

"Let us follow them lady bug!!"

"AYE AYE!!"

As we reach the City gate, the clashes of steel and a sound of battle echoed, this is not what I

expected it to be! I uttered as this is a huge war between rogues and insects vs the Kingdom

of Willow woods

"how come rogues be together with the insects?" I asked to myself

"look at the back of the insect haven, it looks like a slave mark encryptions!!" Lady bag

answered

"A slavery mark? anyhow lady bug is there a way to undo the encryption?" I asked since this is

my first time hearing such thing

"there is but its impossible to see them in the battlefield, The Contractor need to stay out of

the battle since the Slavery mark needs to be maintained, the only way for now is to kill them"

lady bug answered

"YOUR MAJESTY WATCH OUT!!" a knight shouted

"oooh that was hot!!" Lady bug said, with that husky manly voice of the knight

I jump towards the attacking Scorpion, it tries to stab the Queen using its tail, but I'm the hero

this time, I cut the tail of the scorpion before it reaches the queen

"Yo--!" the queen uttered

"You're welcome your majesty" I said and smiled

I continue to battle beside the Queen for the past 4 hours, most of the knights was exhausted

from the long battle, but the insect is keep on coming.

I saw other knights fall unto their knees, as I look into the direction they were looking.

that slaughter in my household in the past flashbacks, the anger I felt that day, the pain, the

suff ering the memories that I wished to vanished suddenly appears in my mind again

A pangolier, an entity that can only be found in the central plains, the City of Tree of

Abundance, what is it doing here??

"KNIGHTS ORDER stand your ground, WE HAVE MADE AN OATH TO PROTECT THE KINGDOM

WITH OUR LIVES, THIS IS THE TIME TO FULFILL THE PROMISED WE MADE IN FRONT OF THE

DIVINE TREE" The Queen shouted with authoritythe fallen knights stand up and regroup around the queen, I was ignored since I'm too small to

get notice that I was beside her majesty

but yeah, the Entity in front of me is one of my mortal enemy!!

"9nth slash" I whispered - no one notice it as I was chanting silently that only I could hear

"- Slaughter Night" I launch towards the pangolier in a flash - as I made a hundred slash in a

second to the target

(What was that? that kid flashes towards the Pangolier, it even inflicted hundred slashes in a

second, just who is this kid that appear in my land? the pangolier struggles to fightback -

"KNIGHTS THE FIGHT ITS NOT YET OVER! ASSIST THE YOUNG WARRIOR!!" the Queen ordered

and the knights didn't hesitate to obey

the battle ended with the power of the Willow kingdom prevail, soldiers and knights dies in

this long battle but it was all paid off since they successfully defended the City wall

"Thank you for lending us your sword young warrior! we are greatly indebted to you!" a Knight

said, I guess he was the General of the Knight order since other than the Queen the knights

also follows the command of this guy

"it was my pleasure to help!" I answered, as I saw lady bug approaching me, we then enter the

city again

"that was a long battle haven... that pangolier, I heard something about it from old catterpillar

before! it was being said that pangolier is a rare species that can only grow with the help of

the Ancient tree - and that ancient tree is where the Ancient principle reside which also

placed inside the Palace of the Tree of Abundance" - Lady bug without taking a breath said

those words

If the pangolier can only grow in the central plain then how did it travel this far?

"maybe because they are planning to destroy Willow woods like how they destroyed Lupos

City" despite me talking to myself, lady bug responded

"what did you say? destroyed Lupos?" -I asked

"yes, Old catterpillar said that the fairies are very greedy about their roles and they will do

their best to destroy anyone that will show great potential to be a fairy and ----" lady bug

wasn't able to finish her story when suddenly lady Dahlia appeared

"The central plains despite being so lively in the outside, the inside was rotten and reeks of

greediness by the fairies" Lady Dahlia added

we are resting in the garden of the mansion that was given to us by the Queen."I will grant you the Title of High noble in the Willow woods Kingdom" Lady Dahlia said

being a high noble surely is a good thing, not only that I am independent from any parties,

there were also unlimited funds, the resources needed for my training will no longer be a

problem

"it's a great honor your majesty, I will gladly accept such generosity" I said and bend down

"no need for any honorary Young lad, you did help us greatly this time, it has been 3 years

since this kind of attack happens and it was the second time a pangolier appeared, the first

one killed many high knights and injured greatly my Mother" Lady Dahlia said while looking at

the clear sky

"Why did the central plains started attacking Willow woods?" I asked

I know fairies hate anyone and everyone that pose a serious threats towards their authority,

but what bothers me the most is that, why would fairies cut all the power houses when it is

advantageous in the part of Land of abundance having more power houses that will defend

it.

"Willow woods is the Largest kingdom of the North, we are protecting several towns and

independent cities also many small kingdoms who are hiding under us and we are pressured

to protect them, as we expand our land, the strength also increases, as my kingdom growing

stronger and the potential to nurture higher tier warriors surely reaches the ears of the

Fairies and they started to act in shrinking our power, we might be able to stand this time, but

if this continues even more we might fall in the long run!" she explained

"Why does the Ancient Principle did not punish them for being so unjust?" I asked again

"the Fairies knows how to hide from the ears and eyes of the Ancient Principle, despite it

being the LAW of this land, the Ancient Principle does not used or measures once loyalty or

sincerity, the Ancient principle base its judgement to the evidence and rationality of the

issues" she explained

"so to convince the Ancient Principle that the Fairies are doing things like this, we need to file

a case to it and justify what ever evidences we bring before them?" lady bug asked, I already

feel that she is also curious about it, she is a fan of gathering information so it might as well

be dwelling her mind

"you're right young lady, knowing that the Ancient Principle did not punish the fairies for 3

years straight means that the fairies already take precaution about it" lady Dahlia added

"its already late, and we need to rest, don't forget for tomorrow's event young warrior!"

she said and left
