"I was just five years old that time," she said. "My dad and my mom were poor people, until my dad joined the army. He got us more money than we've ever received." She looked at the fire and me. Then she stared at the fire. "When I was ten, I missed my dad. He came back from the army, and I was so-so glad to see him."

"Oh," I said. "My mom and dad were already rich people but their problem was that they had a failing marriage."

Gwen grunted and cleared her throat. "My dad, he came back and used all our money to make a business. And it was successful. I was moving to sixth grade until these ruthless Italians killed my parents!"

She sobbed hard and greatly. I comforted her, trying to make her feel better. "Sorry for what happened. But why the Italians?" I asked.

"Your family was killed by German's right?" she asked. I nodded. "Japanese, Italians and especially Germans are in a group called—"

"The Axis Powers?" I disrturbed. Gwen nodded and sobbed harder.

That guy said something about joining the Axis Powers. Those three groups were working together to conquer America. But, what if they did?

"Why are they attacking us? Why do they need a whole group?" Gwen looked at me. "America is a pretty powerful country. Its industrialization is greater than Germany's. Only if you take them by surprise, they can win."

"Why so?" "America is not great at being in contact with enemies that try to battle them.

America is really powerful but can be fragile when something weird happens."

"Have the Axis Powers attacked America?" "No, not yet but it's pretty soon," Gwen said. "Germany has no point of waiting to attack."

I was worried, I was scared. Was a war about to happen? And if there was, would America win?

Glenn rushed in with a packet of fish. His clothes were wet but I could still see his face drenched with sweat.

"Guys, I saw trucks, loaded trucks!" Glenn shouted. Gwen and I looked at Glenn in horror. "It's those Germans!" I shouted.

"No, American troops," he said. I gasped. The war was already starting—I'm guessing. "C'mon let's go!" We darted through the leaves that scraped our arms and made blisters on our feet.

"Move, move, move!" Glenn shouted. Truck lights were on. "I see someone!" some people shouted. The lights were about to shine on us.

"Hide through the bushes," I said. We laid down and I panted.

This was like last time, and that man was talking to us about the camp and Axis Powers. After all, these are American people. But I was still scared.

Voices shouted and people were talking. Flashlights turned on, rifles clicked.

I saw men with high armor. It was green to blend in with the trees. I couldn't see them actually but I saw helmets.

"Hey, I see people. They look like children," one of them said. "Well that's just humorous. Children can't even survive in the woods, moron."

"Shush, I expect better from you nincompoops," A low voice said.

They went closer to us, and before we could move. The flashlights shined on us. Glenn covered me. "Hey, it's children!" one yelled. "Commander Waxer."

A guy with a helmet and green armor looked over. "They look hurt, Commander Waxer." The guy, Commander Waxer, looked at the soldier. "They are hurt, they're from the camp."

He took out his walkie-talkie, "Cap 1—yes—we might not be going on foot. Three children are in the woods. Y-yes, we will not go by foot. We will take command."

"Alright let's go," Commander Waxer ordered. We were put on the back of the truck. There was a big truck and many tanks and trucks behind us.

"I'm Commander Waxer," the commander said. I actually knew that already for about forty seconds. "I see, you were from the camp."

"Yes, sir," Glenn said. Commander Waxer looked out the window. "We'll be fighting in the Sahara desert, located in Africa. I want you guys to stay at the nearby camp and make sure to hide safely."

"Commander Waxer," I asked. "Are we actually going to have war?"

Commander Waxer chuckled. "My friend, it has already started."
