Entered The Path

As Lod and his master descended from the mountain, they flowed towards the center of the college. It was a shocking scenery for Lod, who had never actually seen the inside of the college. There were endless buildings and paths leading everywhere. Many mountains, pavilions, mansions… too many for Lod to recognize them. He gasped and stayed silent.

With his master's speed, they reached the Admission Zone in no time. When Ghost King landed on the ground, there were many roars that Lod couldn't hear. The roars were so loud that the whole Admission Zone shook, and the cultivators inside felt dizzy. No matter who they were or what they were doing, they stopped everything and came out of the rooms and looked at Ghost King and Lod, who was behind him.

"I heard someone interfered with my disciple's identity token? It has already been more than 24 hours," his voice echoed in the zone; everyone who heard it felt pain in their heads.

"Calm down," a voice came from deep inside the Admission Zone. The voice was soft and gentle; when others heard it, the pain they felt disappeared.

"Baani…" Ghost King narrowed his eyes.

"GK, what are you doing?" Out of nowhere, an old man appeared, with wrinkles all over his face. He wore blue robes and stood straight. The aura coming off him was like a mountain that surpassed everyone. It was gentle on everyone except Ghost King.

"I was wondering who would make trouble for me… turns out it is you?" Ghost King said calmly. He didn't even frown at the aura which was hostile towards him.

"Hmm? I didn't do anything," Baani said with a strange expression. "Don't make any trouble here on purpose."

"Yesterday I asked for an identity token for my disciple. It is not here yet."

Baani turned his eyes from Ghost King to Lod; he narrowed his eyes as he remembered something. "Let me check," he said and touched the ring on the middle finger of the left hand.

Ghost King stood there waiting; everyone in the Admission Zone also looked at them in silence. Only Lod was having a little trouble. When Baani saw him, he felt something in his mind that he couldn't describe.

"Looks like Miss Hana is busy with work for Jano Clan…" Baani said softly.

"So it is Jano Clan… should I kill more of their clan members?" Ghost King smiled; it was not surprising to him, as he already expected someone to play a part in this.

Baani was silent and didn't give any option on that. He knew the hostility between Ghost King and Jano Clan, but he didn't expect that Jano Clan would be so daring to make it so obvious.

Lod was a little surprised when he heard his master talking about killing, but when he thought about it, he felt it was normal. Celestials always fight themselves and kill mortals without a second thought.

"Lod, have you seen someone getting killed before?" His master asked him with a huge grin on his face. Sweat appeared on Lod's forehead; he had never seen someone getting killed before, but thinking about it made him feel uneasy…

Baani let out a slight smile. "He just entered the path, let him start good…" he said.

Ghost King looked like he gave it a little thought and nodded. "Indeed, let's wait till Lod reaches the 7th stage of Qi Body Forging. I will take him to Jano Clan for celebration."

"That is so much like you. Anyway, I am leaving. Don't go make trouble for others," Baani said and vanished from there like he never appeared.

Feeling that the 'celebration' meant something different, Lod sighed. He didn't know he would kill a person… even though he thought about killing that guy who humiliated him. Killing was too much when he gave it some thought.

"Let's go, we train," Ghost King said and they moved in a different direction.

"Where are we going, master?"

"To a place where you can become stronger fast. In a year, you have to reach the 7th stage of Qi Body Forging. I can't wait more than a year, so."

Lod gulped; a year… was that fast or slow? He did not know. It had not even been 2 days since he started cultivating.

"I know what you are thinking; reaching the 7th stage takes 4 years for someone with your talent. But with me here, I will do something," Ghost King smiled.

Nodding, Lod stayed silent on the way to somewhere his master was taking him to. There were many thoughts in his mind; one of them was about stages in the realm. He remembered reading about stages. There were 2 bottlenecks in the Qi Body Forging, one of them was at 3rd and 7th.

'I have to break through these two bottlenecks to reach the 7th stage…' he closed his eyes.

"We are here," Ghost King said and landed on the ground.

It was a thick forest without much light. When Lod looked around, he could only see huge trees and wet ground. Even the air was moist in the forest. Every time he took a breath, something slimy-like thing entered his nose.

"Don't worry about it; the Qi in here is very thick. Sit there and try to cultivate. I will stay here and watch," his master said and pointed at the wet ground.

"Yes, master," Lod agreed and did as he was said to. Even though the uncomfortable feeling was still there, it started to disappear when he started to do the abnormal breathing technique. The slimy-like Qi entered his body and started working on the Monarch Body.

A layer of fog surrounded Lod; the fog which had no form slowly started to take the form of Lod. It covered his whole body and was trying to turn into solid.

Ghost King, who was not too far from him, was watching everything with amusement in his eyes. Even though he was the one who created this technique, he never tried it on himself or someone else. This was the first time I saw it in use.

'Yes… if this will be a success. He will surely be able to cultivate my technique… I hope he will,' he thought to himself.

The fog around Lod was solidified in five hours. It was like an extra glass made on his body. And it was then he reached the first stage of the Qi Body Forging.
