CHAPTER 2 - Aurora
Right now I'm doing my college work on my desk in my room. I'm studying psychology and I love it. I'm listening to Chase Atlantic - Into it when I get a text from my best friend and cousin Sofia.
SOFIA: There's a new club opening tonight and we have to go.. Please it's going to be so much fun. 🙏
I chuckled at the emoji. I sighed and thought about it. I was done with my college work and I need to get out of the house. I'm sure I'll be allowed out. Mom and dad let me go out whenever I want, I'm 22 now and they know I can make my own decisions. However, we will obviously need to bring our bodyguards but that's fine I'm used to it by now. I text back.
AURORA:Yeah okay. I'll text Raquel, she will love it, meet at my house in half an hour?
We have the luxury of only living ten minutes from each other, Raquel lives only 10 minutes aswell, so we can meet anytime we want. My phone pings with a reply.
SOFIA :Yeah do. Perfect, I will be there shortly. CAN'T WAIT!!
I chuckled at her message before texting Raquel and she said yes which is what I was expecting. Raquel LOVES CLUBBING, she gets that from Auntie Brie as mom always says "Like mother like daughter".
She knows the plan and will be her in a half an hour aswell.
I put on a pink silk dress with high heels and put on some perfume. I put on some light foundation, mascara and lip gloss. When I was finished getting ready Raquel and Sofia were here. I went downstairs and the last person I wanted to see was there in the kitchen. Leo.
He was in the kitchen with my father, Luca and my brother Nikolai. Him and Nikolai were laughing at something and Luca and my father were probably discussing mafia business.
"Hi guys." I greeted walking to the kitchen counter hugging dad and poking Nikolai on the ribs In which he practically jumped out of his skin. I smiled at him teasingly putting my purse down on the table.
"Hello Aurora you look lovely where are you off to?" Luca asked sitting next to Leo.
"I'm going clubbing with Raquel and Sofia."-there was knocking at the door - "and that must be them." I say excitedly going to the door.
"Hey girls". I said hugging them. "Sorry I forgot my phone and we had to go back to get it." Sofia laughed breathlessly. "It's fine, I only just finished getting ready there anyways." I reply.
When Sofia and Raquel came inside and greeted everyone I noticed Leo looking me up and down which made my heart beat faster. I gave him a quick glance to know he was dressed in a suit and his hair was tussled but I forced myself to look away before I looked at him any longer than necessary.
"Your over him. " I remind myself in my head. I've been saying that for months and so far it's working.
"You'll need to bring Massimo with you, love." Dad said.
"I already asked him. He's waiting outside, I think he's on the phone with his daughter." Massimo's daughter is traveling the world and he has daily phone calls with her to check how she's doing. I'm pretty sure she's in Tokyo at the moment.
"Good girl". Dad replied kissing my head. "We better get going or we're going to be late." Sofia said checking the time on her phone.
"What club are you going to?"Nikolai asked.
"Pandemonium. The club opening is tonight." Raquel explained while Sofia showed him pictures of it.
I ignored them and picked up my purse. "Okay bye dad, love you." I said hugging dad. " Love you too Nik. " I said teasing him. "See ye later." I said to Luca trying not to look at Leo, who I could feel staring at me intensely.
" BYE!!" Raquel and Sofia shouted racing out the door. I laughed walking out the door and before I closed it I saw Leo's head turned to the side watching me. We made eye contact for a brief moment which made my heart skip a beat. I closed the door.
I'm not thinking about him anymore.
15 MINUTES LATER.....
We arrived at the club and Raquel, Sofia and me entered with Massimo following close behind wearing a suit looking serious while eyeing the room.
We ordered our drinks and drank them down. "Have fun girls". Massimo muttered before we ran into the crowd to dance the night away.
