Abandoned For No Reason

"Is she still sleeping?" Alexander asked as he sipped a cup of coffee in his hand. The calm morning followed by soft wind, made the morning felt so peaceful. He threw his eyes looking at the beach at the front. Looking at the scenery from the rooftop, Adam did a great job by building the chalet there.

"Sophie?" Adam asked, taking a seat.

"Still sleeping." He answered, putting down the cup. "Have you started?" Alexander's eyes gave him a serious look.

"I am not a robot." How could he ask someone to start investigating at midnight. He needed to refresh his brain to think of a way to start. "About the thing you told me before…" He paused, taking a few seconds of hesitation before continuing, "Did you proceed to investigate?"
