The Body guards

LOPEZ MANSION...

Ellah came home early and she saw her grandfather watching the afternoon news about the Fifty Million worth of illegal drugs and high-powered guns seized during the Sting Operation done by PDEA.

"Grandpa" , she seated on the couched near him.

The old man turned to her and asked.

"Where's your husband?"

"Huh?" she blinked her eyes.

"You had an audition this morning, isn't it? I understand you were looking for a husband."

"Yeah!" she replied.

" Did you find one?"

"Not yet."

"You're wasting your time" and he returned back to the news he was watching.

She saw the old man in the news who was apprehended together with men in black suits.

Her attention was drawn to a man facing the journalist from his side.

The way he touches his sunglasses it made him look authoritarian, even though he only wears a black shirt and jeans.

She turned to his grandfather sitting in the wheelchair.

Don Jaime Lopez had been in the wheelchair after the fatal accident few years back, the suspect prisoned.

Even though his grandfather looked weak, but it doesn't stop him from being powerful and authoritarian.

Ellah knew where she got her strong personality.

At 28, she is now the General Manager of their company and she's happy and contented with her status in life and career.

She got the looks, she's smart and rich, but she has no boyfriend since birth.

She believes that having a man in her life doesn't make sense. It will just ruin her goals in life and career.

Thousands of workers are depending on her and she wouldn't exchange them over a man at this time.

But as of these days she can't do anything about it because his grandfather is asking her to get married as soon as possible.

"Grandpa, I'll stay on the veranda first."

"Okay!"

She went out and took a deep breath.

She felt so calm and relaxed as the fresh air caressed her face.

What happened earlier at the hotel was so exhausting. A lot of guys came but no one was considered to be her husband.

They were rich and good looking, but, sad to say that all of them were brainless.

Aside from this Wanted Husband thingy, there's another concern that bothers her right now.

She noticed that her clients are being intimidated by her bodyguards.

"Ms. Lopez, I am so thankful that we finally signed the contract as your supplier, but, seeing your bodyguards like goons might affect your career as a business woman." One of her clients told her during the contract signing a few days ago.

"Your bodyguards are like goons and antagonists in the movies," another comment she received from one of her clients who visited her office.

"They are kind, though," she replied.

"I don't think so!" The client countered.

It seems it's difficult to change the image of his bodyguards.

She went back to her grandfather and told him about her problem.

"Grandpa, I have something to tell you."

"What?" The old man asked.

"I want those guards to be replaced as soon as possible."

"What? You can't do that Ellah! They are the best bodyguards you've got."

"But my clients were intimidated and scared!"

"I don't care!" Don Jaime shouted.

Ella was shocked and can't speak at this time.

In a low voice she explained.

"I'm afraid that I might lose my clients because of them. They look like goons from a syndicate group.

I don't want the impression that we are like drug lords or we belong to an illegal organization because of their physical appearance and they are carrying high-powered guns."

" Do you think so?" The old man looked convinced.

" Maybe they can be assigned here in the house as security guards," she calmly suggested.

" Why don't you bring them to a mens salon? Maybe they can have a new haircut, shave their beard and mustache, whatever," a wise idea from Don Jaime.

"Grandpa, you must be kidding. That's not a good idea! " Ellah was really desperate.

Don Jaime silenced and sighed.

"Okay, we will look for their replacement."

"I need it tomorrow Grandpa."

"What? Ellah, it took me a week to find those four bodyguards. " The old man felt so pressured.

"I want only one trusted bodyguard in exchanged of these four," she demanded.

"No way! It's not easy to find one," he answered.

"If you find one tomorrow, I might consider to have a date with one of the suitors you like for me," she winked and stood up.

"Alex, come here!" he called his right-hand man.

Ella smiled while walking and proceeded to her room.

"Yes, Don Jaime!"

"Do you see that man?" while pointing to the TV screen.

Alex can't clearly recognize the face of the man his boss was referring to, but he noticed the young man in the news.

"Yes Sir!"

Alex shook his head. His master just saw the man on TV and yet he wants him right away.

"Sir, Can you give any comment about the largest syndicate in the country who were apprehended by PDEA?" The reporter asked.

"We're just doing our duty. The big heads behind the little tentacles need to be suppressed."

The police officer replied confidently and turned his face to the camera as if he is talking to somebody.

“We will not attack little tentacles, for even they are victims of big heads.”

“That guy?” the don pointing again to the TV screen.

“He's going to be the new bodyguard of my granddaughter.” Don Jaime Lopez declared.

CITY JAIL ZAMBOANGA CITY...

The news teams from different networks were all gathered outside the establishment to get a full coverage of the recent operations done by PDEA Group.

Everybody wants to get some details about the controversial operations and this young man caught the attention of the reporters.

“Sir why did you burn all the illegal drugs instead of confiscating it?”

The reporter asked directly to the police officer.

He was astonished and glanced at the reporter.

“We need to do something different than the usual process,” he replied and turned to the handcuffed old man standing next to him.

After they were treated at the clinic, Mr. Mondragon was officially arrested and was left at the Phoenix Agency.

While the case is being heard in the court, he will be put to jail without bail.

The PDEA team made sure that the evidence they have gathered will be enough to prove the charges against him.

The police officer did not directly answer the questions thrown to him by the reporters.

It's an open secret that some of the men inside the agency make money out of the confiscated illegal drugs during operations.

He cannot tolerate these illegal transactions being operated by these shameless people in the government.

He made sure that all illegal drugs gathered during operations will be burnt and no one will benefit from it.

His goal is to wipe out these people involved in illegal activities even if they are powerful and influential.

CURUAN HIGHWAY ZAMBOANGA CITY...

It was a gloomy Saturday night; the sole heiress of Don Jaime Lopez went home late from a mine site visit.

It's past eleven in the evening.

Her driver and bodyguards were having fun inside the car while on their way home.

They were in the same car because she chose to use one vehicle for them.

It's impractical, if she will provide a separate vehicle for them.

“I hope we will have a salary increase by then,” one of them commented.

“Stop it, Lando!” the leader remarked.

“Don Jaime is a rich man, we should've a salary increase at least every month,” Lando continued.

“Ms. Ellah, we're very sorry for Landos stupid remarks.”

“I want to do that guy, but my clients are scared of you,” the lady boss replied.

“But why, Ms. Ellah?” Claudio asked.

“They said all of you look so scary because of your face.”

“OMG! I think we have to shave already” Waldo peeped in the side mirror.

“Maybe we need to exercise too!” Homer added.

Everybody laughed.

“I think Jude is lucky because he is slim and maybe he has a big salary,” Lando teased the driver.

“Not really!” The driver smiled.

These guys are nearly three months with her and she's happy with their performance as personal bodyguards especially Homer because he is the best among them.

They continued teasing with each other while they are still on the road and they were all laughing.

'I'll keep these goons of mine forever and I will not replace them anymore' she said to herself.

“I suggest, better groom yourselves so that you will look good.”

“That's the best solution Ms. Ellah,” Lando agreed and they all laughed.

But, suddenly the boys look so serious.

“Why?” she asked in fear when the bodyguards are cocking their guns.

Ellah felt scared. Her heart pounded rapidly.

They were in the middle of nowhere and a strange car was chasing them.

The driver made a sudden brake and it is almost thrown her face on the dashboard.

“Ms. Ellah, Whatever happens just stay inside the car!” Homer whispered to her.

The goons went out of the car, all in mask and pointed their guns to them.

“Out!” one of the goons shouted.

She was shaking in fear.

“Ms. When I say down, you facedown the floor, do you understand?” Homer whispered again.

She nodded.

She almost fainted, but she needs to be tough.

“Let the beautiful lady get out of the car and nothing bad will gonna happen!” The other guy yelled.

This made her almost faint again.

The bodyguards suddenly went out of the car and pulled their guns and Homer shouted, “Down!”

She went down and she heard the guns firing.

Bullets were flying everywhere from the two groups.

Non-stop firing.

Nobody wants to retreat and nobody wants to surrender!
