"Huh? Impressive, you've managed to gather a couple of them already?" I said with a cheery smile. Accepting the boxes at once. "With these we've got a third of them in total…" I added, rubbing my chin.
"Sir, forgive me, but we've brought some of the requested items. I am also to relay a message from our Head Master. The others will come shortly. But I figured it best to give them to you as soon as possible. End message." A 6th rank mentioned, similarly handing me a few more.
"Ah, that was a wise choice on their part… What, exactly is this letter for though?" I said, holding up a letter addressed to myself. "Oh… I see now. It has that one fairy's aura on it… Seems she wants to say…" I said as I started reading it, closing it up quickly. "Well, that was unexpected. And that is certainly saying something when I say it… Seriously getting one over on me like that is not easy." I chuckled, handing it to Huo Lei who showed up to cultivate.
My wives went and discussed the letter's contents in detail over in a little huddle. I let out an exasperated sigh.
"Do forgive me Sir… I was instructed to…" The 6th rank panicked. I waved my hand to stop him from saying anything that could get him in trouble.
"Don't worry about it. Whatever happens is not on you. But you should make sure that whoever tries something like that again… Well, I'll leave it at that. I wouldn't want to give any ideas out." I said, shaking my head. "What I am concerned with is why mid ranks are delivering these things to me. Are all of your forces currently involved in capturing these precious locations?" I asked.
"Darling, why do you ask a question you already know the answer to?" Su Yan giggled, as little Xingjuan laughed.
"Hmm, my little sister seems to have grown a little since last time. Was I really fighting the Giant Spirit Gods that long?" I asked, noticing the size of my little sister. She was growing rapidly.
"Oh, no, you weren't fighting that long, but it's been about 2 months." Su Yan answered, holding Xingjuan up to see me.
"Hmm, I guess my aura really was disturbing my sense of time. It remains to see if that is a good or bad thing…" I worriedly thought aloud. My worries were abated by the cuteness of my baby sister clapping. "Awe, you're adorable." I said, instantly smiling. "Mother, I trust you understand that she can't come any closer than that for now. My other siblings are one thing. But Xingjuan is much like myself. Without proper training she will accidentally absorb too much strength…" I added in a moment of seriousness.
"No worries, she knows that you'll be done soon and then she can play with her big brother." Su Yan giggled, happily.
"Good, now then, messengers, you may practice here for a while before returning. I can send you back in an instant so there won't be any worries." I said, gesturing with my hand to one side.
"Thank you, Sir Temporal Thunder Divine Monarch!" The messengers and package carriers all but shouted in a joyful reply. Then disappeared to their own places in the Territory.
There weren't many different groups to deal with now. Just those who managed to pass the first and second stages of my class. And then Wu Kuang.
"Wu Kuang. There is something I'd like to ask you." I started, then pondered if I should ask it now… "I want to know, in your current state, are you able to devour ink force and remain completely uninhibited by its evil?" I asked.
"Huh? If it's energy I can consume it just like anything else." Wu Kuang replied, though there was a slight hesitation.
I pulled a single strand of ink force up from the Ink Giant Spirit God's corpse. "Absorb this as it is. I want to see exactly what happens. The result will determine the human race's next course of action." I said, wearing a deadly serious look on my face.
Wu Kuang, was hesitant and then remembered that with me around, no amount of ink force could last long, let alone completely turn him. So he nodded and ate the inky strand with the Heaven Devouring Battle Law. It was clear to see that the pure evil energy being devoured by an evil and incomplete technique was bound to have issues. My lightning resolved them in a flash though so that was it.
"That is both disappointing and relieving at the same time." I noted. "If only I could test it with the complete version of the technique you're using." I lamented.
"Huh, what do you mean it's incomplete?" Wu Kuang asked, preparing to hit me.
"Relax, you're currently only one tenth of your previous incarnation. It would be ridiculous for such a sloppy technique to be complete. It feels insulting to the other techniques out there. Hell, I've made origin level ones that were more complete." I said, waving the frustration off. "Anyone else who has seen my methods in work would say the same thing. Let alone myself." I added.
"So what then? Cang is the one holding onto the remaining parts." Wu Kuang grumbled. "Can't blame me for a sloppy method." He very nearly pouted.
"Listen, I've prepared a place specifically for you. I need you to grow to as high a rank as you possibly can. The best part is, even with your evil method at work, you shouldn't experience any evil related issues. As there isn't a single evil thing in my lightning… Unless you want to call extreme murderous intent on those who dare to harm my family in even the slightest of ways." I chuckled as I gave instructions then spirited him away to the other place.
"Pfft… Even your father can't handle him that well." Su Yan smiled.
"Well, that evil power of his is useless against me. Even if he somehow managed to achieve the 9th rank now, I'd still brush him aside with ease. I'm still reclaiming control over my strength. But it shouldn't be much longer before I can hold my baby sister again." I smiled.
"Good! Then we can have another good bonding moment with everyone." Su Yan said, smiling, though her tone was as serious as they came. There wasn't any backing out of another time being forced into the size of a small child again.
