Meeting Father

Everyone had calmed down. Master Feng and Seven Stars Sect Master sat at a table together and discussed things. I couldn't hear it since they were clearly talking through whispers. However it was interesting how they kept looking over at Smiles and I.

"These buns are so yummy. Brother Leiji has good taste in food." Smiles said, kicking and eating happily.

"Num… See, this… nom… place is… nom… so good." I said, speaking in between bites.

The restaurant keepers wife brought over the new buns. They looked similar but had a yellowish tint to them. My eyes grew wide when I saw them placed on the table. I quickly finished the two buns I had been double handing. Smiles and I both grabbed one each. It was like we were in sync with each other.

We each took a bite. Smiles' face turned into a pure look of joy and satisfaction. She was so cute. When I took the bite I felt a similar satisfaction. This bun was amazing. This place never failed to bring satisfaction. Of course the lady saw this look and laughed a light laugh.

"These are ginger and lemon sweat buns. The cream inside is our recent creation made with ginger. The bun is lemon flavored. You two seem to like these buns." the lady said.

"I love them! Bring another tray. No 2 trays." Smiles and I said at the same time.

The lady covered her mouth lightly. "Oh my, I'll go bring them now. You two are so cute." she said taking her leave.

Smiles and I just forgot about that comment. Though my master was still light heartedly laughing. I continued to eat the food brought by. Finishing tray after tray. And Smiles kept up with my pace tray for tray. That was until she got too sleepy to continue. She curled right up and took a nap. I got another sensation over me, only this time it teleported me away. Though, I grabbed a tray of buns before I vanished. So when I appeared I sat back down and continued eating. I was too hungry to worry about being teleported. I shoved a bun in my mouth and chewed away as I looked up. There were several people who were there. Most standing, and another sitting there cross legged.

"Achem, so this is the human you were talking about Yang Kai?" An old man said.

"Yes, Disciple is curious as to his future potential as well as his past. Could I ask the seniors to take a look." Yang Kai said.

I closed one of my eyes and then started choking. What I saw was unfathomable to me at the moment. I start hitting my chest to force the chucks of food down. Then went right for another bun.

"This boy is just like Old Ancestor, when it comes to steamed buns." A woman that broke my original understanding of what beautiful ment. I could have sworn I saw perfection radiating from her.

"Does Senior, want my steamed buns?" I said holding up the tray and offering a bun. "They are really good. Have one, hehe." I added.

She took one of the buns and took a bite. "Hmmm, Yang Kai, the place this boy got the buns, You should have them supply some buns for the Old Ancestor. These are nearly as good as the ones I make." she said.

Before I knew it my tray was empty. While I didn't mind sharing the buns. My stomach… well… it wasn't nearly as happy. **RUMBLE GRUMBLE** I smiled a little embarrassed.

"Yang Kai, make sure to nurture this boy well! You are closer to him than you realize." The woman said, smirking.

"I naturally will nurture talents. Why do you say we are close, Senior?" Yang Kai asked, puzzled.

"Investigate his origins and you'll naturally know the reason." She said, taking another bite of the bun. "Oh and since he shared these buns with us. I'll go and bring some things." she added after the bun disappeared.

"Wow, the beautiful lady is really nice. I'm super hungry." I said, lightly.

Yang Kai's divine sense came and fell over me. I felt a heavy warmth come over me. It was odd though it only lasted for a few breaths. Yang Kai's face turned from wonder to confusion to realization. All before the woman had left completely.

"You realize it yet?" She said turning around and asking.

"Yes, I see it now. That is one odd thing to happen but If I remember correctly I did have a moment while cultivating that I thought about the comment Garrison commander Zong Liang said before. To think that this is the result." Yang Kai said in a long wind.

"Ahaha, don't worry too much about it. I wonder if your son will grow up to be as earth shaking and heaven sundering as his father." She said, heading inside a small hut and began working to make something.

"Wait? So you're my father?" I asked, tilting my head a little confused.

"Yes, A strand of my heavenly will is what gave your mother a child. Still it's interesting that it works in such a way." Yang Kai said, making the same pose I do when I start thinking about things.

"Ahahaha, This child greets his father." I said, bowing.

"This… How am I going to explain this to my wives… Oh that's going to be a rough time. My wives are fierce about this. Especially her." Yang Kai said, "Don't worry about bowing. Now, I'm going to let you train in a good place. There is a tree in Void World. Once you get there you should cultivate near it. The benefits for you could be quite strong." he added.

"Yes father, I will train hard. And beat that really sinister feeling into a submission they won't soon forget." I said, punching my left palm with great force.
