Will I get fried?

As Alex waited, he observed the wildfire growing rapidly, with no signs of abating. He sighed, realizing that he was the cause of it. He guessed, "Perhaps this is why, in various novels, humans are often disliked by most races, and in some cases, forbidden from entering other races' territories. Just one human caused such destruction."

Surveying the devastation, he felt remorse for destroying such beautiful forest. The area up to the mountain had few trees, allowing him to seek refuge in the crater to avoid direct heat. While Alex was having his otaku attack, the world beneath him burned. Although the power of the egg was active, no animal or creature dared approach the mountain. Foraging cautiously, even if something seemed to be tempting them, they hesitated, unwilling to risk consuming something at the prize to their life.

 As time passed, all Alex could do was drink water, He also attempted to eat the leaf cap he had fashioned for his survival but struggled to swallow it due to its unpleasant taste, and try to get some sleep, eagerly awaiting the morning to escape the hazardous environment.

However, he was abruptly woken up past midnight, due to, struggling to breathe in his current position. Fearing the highly polluted air, he moved to the other side of the mountain. Cautiously, he tried to avoid accidentally dipping into the bathtub of lava, mindful of the limited visibility during the night.

Using his shirt as a makeshift mask to filter the air. Unable to venture far in the night, he resigned himself to staying put, fearing that moving downhill could lead to an unfortunate demise. Although he managed to endure the night, sleep eluded him.

With the arrival of morning, Alex bid farewell to the egg and cautiously began the descent down the steep slope on the side he had chosen. He couldn't risk returning to the smoke-covered area from where he came from, fearing encounters with yandere fans of the egg, as they would eat him, as the main course and egg as dessert.

Struggling to descend without sustaining injuries as he never climbed such a high slop, thanks to his athletic body, he somehow managed to climb down. However, thanks to his skills, he ended up with several bruises. 

After applying some bandages from his medical kit. Alex knew his immediate priorities were securing food, finding shelter, and ensuring his safety. Faced with intense hunger, he lamented, "This body is not as resilient as I thought. The hunger is unimaginable; even my own fingers look like KFC to me now. Never in my previous life I felt this."

Rushing towards the burnt area where nothing remained but ashes, he began his search. Playfully joking, "Come on, give me a devil fruit or an immortal medicine," he scoured the remnants.

Among the ashes, he discovered some fried flora and small animals. Sprinkling pine powder on himself, Alex noticed its effectiveness was not as potent as he had hoped. It only helped him blend into the environment for a short period, unable to completely erase his scent.

He attempted to eat some fried worms, inspired by what he had seen on TV. However, the experience was far from pleasant, resulting in him vomiting after just one attempt. Faced with the reality of his situation, he knew he had to find a solution. Trying with smaller worms this time, he decided to swallow them without chewing to alleviate his hunger. Despite the discomfort, he repeated this process 12-15 times until he felt some relief.

"Damn, all I wanted was to get reincarnated and enjoy the delicacies of different worlds while being surrounded by beauty. Instead of, becoming young master with beautiful maid I've become worse off than a beggar. At this rate, I might die from humiliation. Alex, who had meticulously mapped the surroundings from the mountaintop the previous day, which included extended area, which was behind the mountain covered during his first mapping process, prepared a plan for the day.

"There is a small lake at this location, and there are two ways to reach it. However, I can't go from this direction due to the numerous animals and dinosaur-like creatures I saw ran from there yesterday. I'll take this route, where there must be twin crossed trees, and I have to proceed straight," he was muttering to himself.

Heading towards the lake, Alex didn't encounter many problems, except that most of his marked locations were reduced to ashes. After some time of wandering and occasional confusion and getting lost, he finally reached the lake, where close to it fire was still burning. To check for any reactions from the any dinosaur or animal hidden in lake, he threw stones into the lake, but nothing happened. He proceeded to fill his water bottle but decided against frequenting the area. Instead, he searched for a method to store water in a larger container.

Approaching the slow-burning fire, Alex attempted to cross it, but the intensity of the flames proved too much for him, preventing him from getting through. Undeterred, he then scrutinized numerous trees, searching for any hollow ones. After inspecting hundreds of them, about 2 miles away, he finally found a tree that was somewhat waterproof and didn't absorb water like others.

With his knife in hand, Alex dragged the tree to a safer location where he could seek refuge from predators and the sun. Commencing the carving process, he hollowed out the tree, fashioning a container capable of storing water for 3-4 days. 

But time was running out for him as evening approached. He had to hurry to avoid any mishaps, considering the fading light and the fire slowing down, with its duration expected to last until midnight at most, and his body needed proper food. Although it was relatively strong, reaching the peak of human ability, it still had weaknesses, and hunger was one of them. His small supply of worms wouldn't last much longer.
