Zirkon

Planet Voyyk

Zalazar, Capital of the Voronoi planet…

"You are pathetic brother. You lost again, like always," Zalysthene Zalazar smirked at her brother was huffing and puffing angrily on the floor of the Royal Training room.

The purple man with long ears like an elf, black hair and golden tattoos on his arms glared at his sister in annoyance.

He had lost.

Again.

Zirkon Zalazar hated losing.

Clenching his fists, he rose to his feet and snarled at his sister. "Again," he said.

"I don't mind humiliating you one more time brother. I have lots of time to spare," his sister smirked at him.

Zirkon wanted more than anything else to wipe that mocking smile off his elder sister's face.

As the Voronoi prince, naturally, everyone held high expectations for him. He had done his best to meet them but every time his elder sister, Zalysthene, was thwarting his efforts.

Strength and accomplishments were what was regarded by the Voronoi.

Unlike other weak races who handed power to the eldest prince to take a throne in a kingdom to succeed a king, Voronoi would rather make a baby their emperor than to let a weakling lead them, regardless whether he was royalty.

Zirkon wanted to stand at the top of the Voronoi.

He wanted to succeed his father as the emperor.

  That was his destiny.

That was his fate.

Unfortunately, the path was never going to be smooth.

The cause of his troubles was his damned sister!

She lacked the brains that Zirkon had but made up for it with extreme strength.

Nearly every time he faced her, he lost.

Losing wasn't part of Zirkon's DNA. He had the royal bloodline of Zalazar coursing through his veins!

He would never accept defeat.

Very soon, he would defeat Zalysthene thoroughly and secure his future chances of claiming his father's throne.

Since they were young, Zalysthene and Zirkon had been clashing and competing in everything to see who would succeed their father as Voronoi's emperor.

From duels like this to missions and other accomplishments, each sibling strived to prove themselves to their father that they were worthy of the throne.

Zalysthene was hailed around the empire for being a combat genius with extreme brute strength and physicality. There was no weapon she wasn't proficient in but she favored heavy weapons the most.

Her current favorite weapon was a menacing broadsword which was four feet in length and its width was 45 centimeters!

With a golden handle and studded with four jewels, the weapon of his sister was horrific and fear inducing.

On the other hand, Zirkon was known for his smarts and brains. When it came to control, manipulation, insight, logic and intelligence, Zirkon was widely acknowledged as the smarter sibling.

Unlike his sister who was a pure Physical fighter, he walked on the Spirit Path and wielded volatile lightning which was deep purple.

The war between these two siblings was a classic brains vs brawn situation.

And it was rather the brawn that had the upper hand now.

With a loud roar, Zirkon charged forward to clash with his sister.

A playful smile showed on her lips and she casually hefted her broadsword on her shoulder, watching him in amusement.

Zirkon gritted his teeth and he leaped high into the air.

His eyes glowed purple as purple lightning encompassed him like a blanket and tendrils of lightning snaked from him to all parts of the room.

His long forgotten spear which was laying carelessly aside flew back into his hands. With a scowl, Zirkon slammed down on his sister with full force.

*BOOOOOM! *

His sister side-stepped his attack and rammed the ridiculously wide and lengthy sword into the floor of the Imperial training room.

A sharp aura surrounded her and she fully released her sword domain.

Zirkon had long expected this and countered by unleashing a domain of his own.

Sinister purple lightning took up one half of the training ground while silver lights emitting sharp and fierce auras filled the other half of the room.

Zirkon jumped back, narrowly dodging the wide swing of his sister's broadsword.

He transmutated into purple lightning and closed the distance between him and his sister.

Twirling his spear, he stabbed out hundreds of times per second but Zalysthene held her broadsword like a shield and hid behind it, avoiding the flurry of attacks.

Even while their domains clashed, the two siblings duked it out and many explosions resounded thunderously in the training room.

The clashes were so fierce that if it had taken place outside, hundreds of kilometers of land would be wrecked and wiped out!

Zalysthene dropped her weapon suddenly and punched her brother with her fist sending him flying hundreds of meters away!

Still smirking, she flipped her broadsword back into her hand with her feet and charged forward to start her attack.

Zirkon transmutated into lightning again and rapidly switched his position to the side, just in time to avoid the downward slash of his sister.

*WHAM!

The impact of the huge broadsword caused cracks on the floor!

Zirkon switched back into his normal body and floated in the air, his eyes glowing purple.

The purple lightning coalesced around him to form a sleek purple armor which crackled with lightning.

With a roar, Zirkon moved forward at lightning speed, closing the distance between him and Zalysthene.

His spear elongated, increasing its reach as he kept thrusting his spear at his sister.

One would wonder why someone with elemental capabilities like Zirkon decided to actually close the distance between him and his sister instead of standing far away and hurling spells.

After all, physical fighters like Zalysthene would be at the mercy from long range.

The thing was, common sense didn't apply to Zalysthene's brute strength!

Anyone who underestimated her and dared to keep a distance to long shot her always suffered miserably!

Even without using any bow and arrow, she was capable of sending out devastating sword lights from her sword which would mince anyone who dared to longshot her.

Due to this, if one wanted to match her blow for blow, the distance had to be close. As much as Zirkon would have liked to stand far away and longshot her, continuous close shaves had made him know it was a supremely bad idea.

Zalysthene was a monster at long range.

Zirkon knew his sister well and knew the lethality of such attacks so he dared not stay too far away from his sister.

She couldn't send the sword light from her weapon if he was too close by. After all, it would leave an opening for him to exploit!

*CLANG!

Zirkon almost dropped his spear when it clashed head on with his sister's monstrosity of a weapon.

Damn, this bitch was too strong!

Zirkon gritted his teeth and quickly hurled his spear at Zalysthene from point blank range!

She leaned away, dodging the spear which shot past her like a black bolt of lightning.

Before she could stabilize herself, Zirkon was on her with a lightning coated fist!

"Ha! You want to brawl with me, huh brother? I'll humor you!" Zalysthene laughed out loud and carelessly tossed her weapon aside without a thought.

She dodged Zirkon's rapid fists with ease as she knew better than to let them touch her. Zirkon's lightning had an intense paralyzing and numbing effect. If she got hit by it, it would buy time for Zirkon to start a dangerous combo of attacks which would lead to her loss.

She was not going to lose a head on clash with someone like Zirkon!

Using the advantage of her long and purple toned legs, she sent a kick at Zirkon to break his momentum.

Silver energy coated the hands of Zalysthene as she then began her counterattack.

Even without her broadsword, her fists were a fearsome weapon of its own.

It could pulverize a normal hovercraft!

Snarling, Zirkon transmutated into lightning again and jumped onto his sister, engulfing her in a storm of purple lightning!

*OOOM!

A stupendous amount of lightning formed above them in the form of a pillar and slammed down!

Zirkon had trapped his sister with him in the lightning pillar and his speed tripled! Hundreds of punches and kicks were sent out each second, forcing his sister to defend.

His pillar had successfully isolated her from her domain and she was now at his mercy, but not for long.

If he wanted to win, he had to end the fight quickly!

Inside the pillar, chains of purple lightning swarmed Zalysthene, intending to shackle her!

Zalysthene's eyes turned blood red and with a roar she used the strength of her body to destroy the lightning chains!

Unfortunately, it was too late.

While she had been busy dealing with the purple chains, Zirkon had long left the pillar of lightning and caused it to implode!

Zalysthene's eyes widened in shock.

If she remained where she was, she would be heavily injured!

In panic, she dashed out of the pillar but she was blasted away by the huge electrical storm which was the after effect of the implosion!

Blood spurted out of her mouth and her body twitched from the numbing sensation of her brother's lightning as she helplessly flew back by two hundred meters!

She landed heavily on the ground, causing a minor shockwave.

Zalysthene gritted her teeth as the effect of her brother's lightning prevented her from recovering instantly like usual.

Her nervous system was running amok!

All the while she bore the brunt of the shock, Zirkon's lightning domain encroached on her silver domain, devouring it up completely!

"It's my win now, sister," Zirkon smirked triumphantly as he towered arrogantly above his sister who spasmed on the floor, twitching and convulsing.

"Fuck you," Zalysthene snarled in annoyance.

Her brother had pulled one win back on her.

Zirkon smiled. His plan had worked.

He knew that if he wanted to win against his sister, he had to separate her from her broadsword. Once he did that, the rest was easy.

His moves had been an elaborate plan to isolate her from her weapon and like the fool she was, she even threw it away herself!

That was the outcome for those who valued brawn over brain.

It was easy to play them.

Zalysthene groggily rose to her feet and walked to pick up her discarded sword.

"That was a nice trick but it won't work again," she said in anger.

"Whatever," Zirkon snorted with an annoying smirk.

At that moment, the doors of the royal training room opened and a thin purple man with silver tattoos and a black outfit walked in.

"Your majesties, the Emperor requires the presence of both of you," he bowed.

Zirkon and Zalysthene exchanged glances.

Why would their father want to see them?

Was it because of….

Both siblings furrowed their brows and walked out to meet their father.
