Making plans to learn techniques

715 CP!

Damien was rich!

With this much CP, many of the previously inaccessible one star techniques would now be affordable to him and even some two star techniques!

His strength was going to receive a huge boost!

He would also need to buy high grade mana stones. 100 CP would be more than enough to buy two mega-packs of high grade mana stones which would last him for a month and even help him breakthrough into the peak level!

There were limitless possibilities if you had a lot of CP!

Still feeling good after acquiring that much CP, Damien walked out with Austin with a smile.

"You've made a fortune this time, Damien. I don't think anyone has made as much CP as you!" Austin said.

Brianna, Zane and Mindy joined them.

"Everyone's talking about you now Damien. The sector faction leaders are even discussing you! You probably won't join any of them right?" Brianna said excitedly.

Damien shook his head with a wry smile.

He didn't get along well with rich kids. There was no way he was going to join any of them!

"How did your spars go?" Damien asked.

"Not as good as yours but we won like half of them or something," replied Zane.

Damien nodded. Their powers were only above average and in a school filled with some of the best geniuses worldwide, the probability of them winning all their duels were insanely low!

"Thank goodness this class has a reward phase. I was wondering how to get enough CP to buy a technique," Mindy smiled blissfully.

"Yeah! I can finally get myself that cool Wind step technique in the store," Zane added.

"It's probably going to be a one-time thing. I don't think instructor Riley will share CP every week. If so, all those living in the training centers would stop absorbing mana and come for this class so that they'll make CP to move to higher floors," Damien said, shaking his head.

If indeed Instructor Riley made it a habit to share CP regularly, every student would be present in his class!

Looking at how bluntly he talked though, Damien was certain that this was a one-time thing, probably to make the majority who failed to come for the class feel intense regret.

The four friends parted ways with Damien and he returned to his room.

Hank and Frank were there, lazing about on their comms, probably playing games or watching videos.

"Hey Damien," Frank said, his attention still glued to whatever he was looking at.

"Hey," Damien responded.

Hank let out a grunt in greeting and Damien, shaking his head at their antics walked into his room.

In his room, he opened his school com and went the school store's page to browse through the various techniques and make plans on which one he was going to buy.

Damien planned to spend about 300 or 400 CP on buying techniques, use 100 CP to buy mana stones and save the remaining for later.

Hell, he could even access the second floor of the training center to make his comprehension of techniques way faster!

After all, an hour was 5 CP on the floor. His comprehension of techniques generally took him three hours so that would be 15 CP to comprehend a technique.

That would be a grand bargain!

For now, he had to take his time and see which techniques were going to be affordable and useful to him!

"Well?"

Rico, Danny and a few others were standing in front of Ronnie Quentin who was casually absorbing high grade mana stones.

"You're not gonna like this, boss," Danny said quietly.

Ronnie's eyes opened to look at Danny with a piercing gaze, causing him to shudder.

"He didn't reveal much of his powers boss. He beat all those he sparred with in less than three moves.

The only thing we know is that he's probably learnt a body technique to whatever techniques he already has," replied Rico.

"How many of you were able to spar with him?"

"Only Nonny. He beat him with just a kick," replied Danny.

Ronnie whistled appreciatively. "Impressive."

Nonny was one of his strongest followers with an impressive body path but he had been beaten by Damien with nothing but a kick!

Damien was far stronger and cautious than he had thought. Getting to him wasn't going to be easy.

"From the look of things, he will have a lot of new techniques," Rico said ruefully.

"Oh? Why is that so?" Ronnie asked.

"In today's sparring class, the instructor gave everyone present 50 CP and for every spar won, you get 20 CP.

Damien won all his spars and he received an extra reward of 200 CP!" said Rico enviously.

"He should have like 500 CP now or even more," Danny said, his eyes lighting with envy.

Ronnie was shocked.

If he knew that the instructor was going to be that generous, he would not have missed that class! Well, it was too late for regrets though. Besides, Ronnie was sure it was going to be a one-time thing.

The instructor won't share any CP again.

It wasn't as if he had made a total loss.

Just from absorbing high grade mana stones all morning, he was getting closer and closer to the peak level of the Enlightenment realm!

He wanted to be the first new student to reach that level.

If he was able, winning the first post in the ranking list would be a piece of cake and he would make thousands of CPs not just a meager 500 like Damien had made!

And speaking of Damien, he couldn't let that guy grow stronger or else he would be a direct hindrance to his goals and plans.

Wouldn't it be great if before Damien could make use of the CP, he got robbed?

Of course, none of his followers were enough to force Damien to give up his CP but he had his ways.

A smile formed on Ronnie's lips.

"You said he's made at least 500 CP? Very good. Go and secretly spread a message to the second year seniors that one of the first year students is walking around with 1,000 CP.

Some of them are in dire need of CP and will do anything to get it.

They will rob Damien for us without us even lifting a finger," Ronnie said.

The eyes of Rico and Danny lit up.

Damien would lose all his CP!

Then their smiles dimmed again. Even though Damien was going to lose his CP, it was still going to end up in the hands of others not them.

Obviously, they were dissatisfied.

"Don't be dissatisfied. For now, what matters is preventing Damien from growing stronger. For the CP, there are many ways to make a lot of it," Ronnie said with a sly grin.

The eyes of his followers brightened again.

"Now get going and leak the info. I have something to do," Ronnie said.

He closed his eyes and continued absorbing the mana stones.

His cronies quickly left to carry out his orders. After all, none of them liked Damien!

Meanwhile Damien was going through the various techniques and had long selected those he wanted to buy.

A mind hammer technique going for 50 CP.

A blink technique going for 100 CP.

A telepathy technique going for 90 CP.

A Rune: Strength technique going for 30 CP.

A rune: Endurance technique going for 30 CP.

A rune: Speed technique going for 30 CP.

A boxing technique going for 20 CP.

An MMA technique going for 40 CP.

In all, the cost of these new techniques was 390 CP, leaving him with 325 CP!

If he deducted the 100 CP he had planned to use to by high grade mana stones, he would have 225CP left, far much more than the 190 CP he had when he first arrived!

These techniques were going to greatly increase his battle strength!

The mind hammer was an advanced form of the mind needle and mind whip technique he already had and it was far more powerful!

Thus, for his mental attacks, he would have the mind needle, mind whip and mind hammer technique which gave varying degrees of mental attacks!

The Blink technique was going to improve his movement and serve as a foundation to learn teleporting!

In the blink of an eye, he would be able to cover meters of distance with this technique!

In a duel, he could just blink up to his opponent and hit him with a mind needle out of nowhere. The person wouldn't even be able to react!

For the telepathy technique, it would allow him to talk with people without opening his mouth! He could talk with people discreetly and prevent others from listening in on his words.

Even in fighting, he could shout in the head of someone to destabilize them before attacking!

The strength, endurance and speed soul runes would also boost his power. Using these runes, he could triple his strength, speed and endurance, making him last longer than his opponents!

As for the boxing and MMA techniques, he would add them to his karate technique so that he would also be a dangerous close combatant to those who dared to fight him in long range!

With this in mind, Damien quickly drafted a plan on how he was going to learn these techniques.

Already, he hadn't been able to learn the techniques he had previously bought so he was going to start from them.

After all, no matter the amount of techniques he bought, if he couldn't use it, it was useless!

When he was done with the first set of techniques, he would then learn the new ones he was going to buy today.

Damien smiled. "I have my work cut out for me then," he muttered.

It was time for him to head to the training center to continue learning the techniques he still hadn't learnt yet.

Once he was done with training them today, he would then head to the store to buy the new techniques!
