Floating Thought

The next day

Every time she moved her muscle, the pain immediately spread throughout her body, she groaned like an old grandma and walked slowly to the bathroom. She adjusted the water temperature and started to taking a bath.

When thinking about her hometown, there were two things that unconsciously popped up in her mind. First was the memory of her abduction and the second was the memory of that someone who found her in the store-room of her company's family, full of scar and dirt. Her self-esteem always got a big punch every time she tried to imagine how she looked like when he found her.

Her abductor treated her lower than animal, several months after she the case happened, she still couldn't bring herself to look at the mirror because she was so afraid to look at her face, she still remembered his abductor's whisper, "your face, so beautiful, you are a goddess, without a doubt, you are an angel for me."

His finger was on her face, her waist, her leg, her hair.

The freezing temperature pulled her back in to reality. She didn't realized how long she stood under the shower, but the wrinkle on her fingers told her it wasn't just a while.

After taking a bath, Jade went to prepare breakfast and continued to packed some stuff she couldn't finished yesterday. At 4 pm, she prepared to go out and then Kang Assistant picked her up at 5:30 PM.

When she heard knocked sound from her apartment door, she opened it quickly and immediately went back in to the apartment, leaving Kang Secretary in confusion.

"Miss Jade, is everything okay?" Kang Secretary went in to picked Jade's luggage, but Jade still running all over the place.

"Wait uncle, I misplaced my phone, I can't find it." heard her answer, Kang Secretary chuckled and said, "Miss, how can you still the same after all this time? You often misplaced your things back in the day and accuse everyone for hide it from you."

"Hehe, forgive me Uncle, but I think this trait will haunt me for the rest of my life. Ah, I found it!" Jade picked up the phone from the depth of her closet and showed it off by shaking her phone in front of her smiley face.

"Come on then, i will bring your luggage." Uncle Kang brought two of her big suitcase, while Jade brought one big suitcase and one backpack. The flight was going smoothly.

Before going on board, she didn't forget to call her brother, "Bro, I'm already on the plane, we will on flight shortly."

"Be careful. I will pick you up at the airport."

"Big bro, You didn't tell Cole and Jude that I will go home?"

"No, let it be a surprise," Rafe's tone was full of mischievousness as he laughed out loud. Jade shook her head as she couldn't believe, the boss of a big company actually liked to pull a prank on his famiy! "Big bro, is it stressful running our family's company? I don't think you are healthy enough to work."

Her brother's laugh became louder, "don't worry. don't worry, I have my family to pull a prank on as a stress relief."

Jade gave a big sigh and said, "You can't be helped. Bye bye, see u later, Big Bro." Jade put her phone in to airplane mode and pulled out some books from her backpack to entertain herself in thirteen hours and a half of flight. It will be a long flight, she thought.

Thirteen hour later, the plane already landed. During the flight, she couldn't help but to wonder about her saviour.

'Is he still the same as I remember?'

'What kind of reaction he have when he see me?'

'Did he ever think of me?'

'Did he miss me?'

But quickly she eliminated all of that useless thoughts. Although she had vivid imagination, but she wasn't a daydreamer about reality. Deep down, she knew that she wasn't capable enough to be his partner. She wasn't complete, after the abduction, she did survive, but her mind and her soul being scattered by the wind of her pain and anger. She used every ounce of hers to be normal again. She used her anger and pain to motivated her, to woke her up from those nightmare.

But, as perfect as she could to pretend that she was completely healed, the darkness always lurked her in every breath.

As her lip formed a bitter smile, the door in front of her opened and showed bunch of people waiting for someone to be picked up from airport. She looked around and saw her brother with formal attire, looking so stunning. He was taller than three years ago, his excellent appearance made every woman around him drooling all over.

Jade poked Kang Secretary and pointed out at her brother, then she shouted, "Big bro!" and ran all the way to her brother's embrace.
