The bell test
At 11:15 a.m.,
On the third training ground of Konoha.
A man in his mid-twenties with spiky white hair, his forehead protector covering his left eye and a cloth mask covering his mouth and nose, could be seen talking to Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke. The three young shinobi that were fresh out of the Academy, seemed to be tensed.
The man was wearing a green flak jacket, a dark blue, long-sleeved t-shirt, black pants and a pair of black sandals. He also wore a ninja pouch on his waist and a shuriken holster on his right leg.This man was Hatake Kakashi, one of the most experienced and strongest jounin of Konoha.
"I will repeat myself for the last time... You have to take those two bells from me before noon, and if any or all of you fail....SHE/HE... IF NOT ALL OF YOU WILL HAVE TO RETURN TO THE ACADEMY OR MAY BE EVEN GIVE UP ON BEING SHINOBI... Also those who fail will be attached to the stumps and watch me and the other eat our meal..."
He fastened the two bells that he was holding in his right hand to his belt, and stared at the three youngsters that were in their offensive stance. They each had a kunai in their right hand and was staring back at him attentively.
'Not bad... Their stance are better than I thought... Mainly that of Naruto...'
"BEGIN!!!!!!..."
Sasuke and Sakura immediately dashed towards the part of the forest that surrounded the clearing that was closest to them. Then, they rapidly hid their presence and they become almost completely invisible. As for Naruto, he simply dashed towards Kakashi without wasting even a second, while shouting.
"AAAAAHHHH!!!!!.... I will show how powerful, I am... By taking one of the bell fair and square..."
'That idiot.... Does he really intend on fighting me head-on.... Does he think that I am Mizuki or what?..'
Naruto pounced at Kakashi while slashing at him with his kunai, but Kakashi easily dodged the attack by moving to the side. Naruto once again came at Kakashi immediately after he stabilised his footing.
He kept on thrusting his kunai at Kakashi non-stop with all his strength, and at an astonishing speed. He was always aiming at vital spots, but the latter always dodged the multiple attacks with minimum efforts.
Even under that barrage of attacks from Naruto, Kakashi found the time to remove a book from his ninja pouch. He even started to read it, which made Naruto furious and the latter stopped attacking and jumped backwards.
He rapidly retrieved two smoke bombs that he threw at Kakashi who was ignoring him. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he threw his kunai and around five shuriken at the shadow of Kakashi that was visible through the smoke.
He didn't even take the time to confirm whether or not the projectiles had hit their target, and immediately threw several shuriken and kunai. For around two to three seconds, Naruto was throwing projectiles like a madman and only stopped after the smoke cloud started to settle down.
There was more than thirty projectiles stabbed in wooden log on the ground. Then, Naruto heard the voice of Kakashi behind of him.
"Idiot... Your back is wide open... A shinobi is not supposed to get caught from behind..."
Naruto at that time let go of the last smoke bomb, he was holding but Kakashi didn't pay attention to it and proceeded with attacking Naruto.
"HIDDEN LEAF ANCIENT TAIJUTSU SUPREME TECHNIQUE... A THOUSAND YEARS OF PAIN!!!!!!!!"
Kakashi quickly shoved his hands that was forming the tiger seal in Naruto's ass. At that time, a smoke bomb hit the ground, and Naruto disappeared into a small cloud of smoke as the entire area where they were located, was covered with a thick red smoke.
Sasuke and Sakura dashed out of their hideout while throwing kunai and shuriken at Kakashi who was slowly becoming visible as the smoke was settling down. The jounin was forced to perform several acrobatic moves to evade the attacks with his right eye tightly closed.
He landed infront of the wooden log that he previously used to evade Naruto's projectiles with Body replacement technique. Suddenly, Naruto appeared behind him and threw a punch at him. He was forced to turn around and block the attack with his right palm. But Naruto immediately threw a powerful left punch at him and he blocked it with his left hand.
At that instant, he felt that his body was starting to heat up, but he couldn't see anything as his right eye were tearing and he was forced to close it. One thing for sure was that he felt his skin getting drier with each fraction of seconds, and his instinct was screaming at him to evade that attack.
In fact, there was a huge fireball that was approaching him rapidly and Sasuke seemed to be the source. He was forced to evade the attack by jumping upwards, while holding Naruto as he was sure to get caught in the attack, if he was left behind.
Sakura threw several shuriken at Kakashi as soon as she saw him appearing above the fireball. Kakashi managed to rotate in mid-air by using his left hand that was free to initiate the movement. Suddenly the trajectory of one of the shuriken was deviated by Sakura using a wire string attached to it and it moved near the bells.
Immediately the shuriken turned into Naruto who was covered by a smoke, except for his head, and simultaneously the Naruto that was clinging to Kakashi turned to smoke. This caused part of Kakashi's body to be covered in smoke too. The visibility at that moment was too low for anyone see clearly what was happening between Kakashi who was currently blind and Naruto.
