Kiyoko glanced at the text Zehan had sent her twenty minutes ago.

The airplane will take off soon.

I will call you when I would have landed.

She was in the surgery theatre when she had received these messages. She took a quick glance towards the clock and sighed.

'Zehan is on the airplane now…'

Kiyoko was walking towards the restrooms when she heard few nurses gossiping in front of the washroom. She halted in her steps and stood by the corner.

Apparently it was regarding her.

"Dr. Watanabe looks so innocent and yet she does like that."

''I thought too. Who could have ever thought that such a young woman would be getting the head doctor's favor?" The nurse sneered.

"The head doctor would have never sided with her if not because of that. Dr. Han who is in this hospital for ages was reprimanded quite viciously." Another nurse said aloud.

"Yes and I also heard that Dr. Watanabe was made the assistant doctor of Dr. Nohara. It was said by the head doctor himself."

"Gosh! And have you all seen how Dr. Watanabe was flirting with Dr. Satoru that day during the lunch."

"They are always together almost every day."

"No…not Dr. Satoru…"

"Ohh he is your crush right…Miyo?"

"Yeah…Miyo likes him. She even secretly goes to the psychology department to see him."

"Stop it!"

"Hey! We should go now. It's almost the lunch break."

The nurses walked away. The corridor returned back to its previous resilience.

Kiyoko took a deep breath.

"Those bitch…!" She mumbled.

"All they do is gossip…How can they be so shameless?"

She was trembling with anger. Her eyebrows knitted together and she clenched her fists.

She was already in a bad mood earlier because of her bad period cramps and the second reason as that she was unable to say goodbye to Zehan.

"Fuck…!" She yelled.

And she stomped, inside the washroom.

'I should have said something to them.'

She had always ignored her back-bitchers. She thought talking back at them would be a waste of time especially after the incident with her 'best-friend' back in junior high.

'Next time I see them they are really going to hell!'

It was almost Kiyoko's time to get off work. There was no night shift that day so she could get home quickly.

'I will go home and talk to Zehan.' She thought.

She walked inside the hospital cafeteria. She loved the donuts that were sold there.

She stood in the queue.

In front of her stood some of the staffs and nurses, they were gossiping.

"Dr. Nakamura, he was about to become the assistant surgeon of the neurology department chief this year but that new doctor took his place."

"Dr. Itamori the new doctor which came to our department three months ago."

"Yes that's her. Isn't it strange that she got that position so quickly?"

"Yes. It's weird."

Another staff said," Have you not heard the rumor that Dr. Itamori is the grand-daughter of Dr. Fujimoru, the head doctor."

"It was a rumor. It can't be truth."

"No it is true….Apparently the head doctor hushed the matter down."

"Oh my…! Then that explains how she got the position so easily."

"Have you seen her talking with such arrogance? If this matter comes to light then that bitch would be running away in fear."

They chuckled.

Kiyoko could no longer her anger.

Why do people do like this? What do they even get out of all this?

They are talking absolute rubbish about people they don't even know properly and spreading rumors. They are making stories out of their speculation.

"How can you be so sure about what you said right now is true? Do you have any proof? Then prove what you just said." Kiyoko spoke to them aloud.

"Who are you? Mind your business!" One of the nurses shouted.

"Exactly you should say this to yourself. Mind your business. Why are you running your mouth about someone you don't know properly and you all are going around and spreading lies about them? What are you all acting like a high-school student back-bitching people around?" Kiyoko said loud and clear.

Many who were around them paid attention to their conversation then.

"You…!" The staff bellowed.

"I believe the doctor who you all are talking rubbish got the position because of her own efforts. You all got jealous of her and spouting nonsense about her. When someone work hard and gets a higher position and some damn idiots say that he or she got it by some…illegal way."

Kiyoko continued.

"They are low-minded persons."

"You….bitch…" One of the nurse yelped. She was shaking with anger.

"You are the bitch." A lady walked towards them. Her hair was tied in a high ponytail. She was wearing a lab coat.

She glanced at Kiyoko and forwarded her hand. She was having a bright smile; dimples appeared on her face as she smiled.

"I am Shizuka Itamori from the neurology department. I am your girl-friend from today."

"Girlfriend….?" Kiyoko mumbled with confusion but nevertheless shook her hand.

"I mean I am your bestie." She leaned forward to see the name card on Kiyoko's lab coat and then said,

"Nice to meet you…Kiyoko. I am gonna call you Kiyo from now on."
