Going Home

J'Zaki and the other members of the Great Ring were flying back from Germany to Wakanda with the Defenders as their prisoners when they were contacted by Shuri.

"Brother," the girl seemed nervous to call. "Mother. She is..."

"I've already heard. Just let her take out her rage on him for a few days. I will push up his execution to be in 7 days."

Shuri let out a sigh of relief. She was fine with killing Zemo but to torture him for so long seemed excessive in her eyes. Thankfully, her brother also thought so.

"Thank goodness, Brother. And as much as I want you to come right away, there has been development in the two of the matters you have asked me to look into."

The king looked at his sister's projection and nodded. He could already tell which two matters she was talking about since he was expecting them to make contact eventually.

"They are meeting in South Africa. The same place where the Avengers nearly killed a whole bunch of people."

"Alright. We will head there and intercept them." J'Zaki hung up the call with Shuri and then gave an order to Idie. "Change the course and put us into stealth mode. We are heading to South Africa."

"Acknowledged."

The engine of the ship hummed before it changed course and began picking up speed. The cloaking system soon came on and the ship became invisible to sensors and visuals. War Machine who was following behind the Wakandans frowned when he lost track of them completely.

"They're gone, Tony. They went into cloaking mode."

[What about heat signatures? Electric signals? Heartbeat sensors?]

"All gone. Either they teleported or their stealth is that much better than what we could have thought. Either is a scary thought"

[Agree. Pops said he got the last of the Vibranium out of Wakanda but last year, Klaue was able to sell some to Ultron. I think our friends in Wakanda might be keeping a few secrets from the rest of the world.]

"Want me to check it out?" Rhodes asked, ready to fly to Wakanda. Tony was about to agree when he remembered the fight at the airport. Any one of the people there was more than a match for Rhodes in the War Machine armor at the moment. And if they were able to hide from his sensors, they could most likely sense Rhodes coming from a couple dozen miles away.

[No. Even if we are suspicious about something we have no concrete leads or permission to pretty much invade Wakanda. Come back here and we will think about them later. Let's focus on Cap and Barnes.]

"Got it. Turning back now."

-- Salvage Yard, Coast of South Africa --

A black man with braids in his hair was sitting across from a man missing an arm. And the former had come wanting to strike a deal. Most of the mercenaries that previously worked for Klaue were gone, only a couple remaining who had lived from the Ultron fight and who Klaue was able to still pay.

"Mr. Klaue. I hear that Ultron got you into some trouble. I'm here to offer you some help."

When Ultron hacked the bank accounts to pay Klaue, it was later traced by Iron Man who had not only taken all the money that Klaue had gained from the transaction but also all of the other money in his bank accounts. This caused the mercenary and black market dealer to become broke and a joke amongst the community.

"Oh. And what help can you offer, boy?"

The other man smiled at the question.

"Simple. You worked with my father before."

When he said this, Klaue looked puzzled. Then it hit him. He was able to see the similarities.

"Oh! You're N'Jobu's kid! How's that bastard doing?"

"He died." Erik said emotionlessly

"Shame. Liked that bloke. Anyway, how does that help me?"

"He gave you the coordinates to get some yourself but he had stolen some as well. He sold to a bunch of other people and kept a list. I also know a few pieces that are kept in museums and other places where the people don't even know they are Vibranium."

Klaue's smile grew larger and larger the more Erik spoke until it was from ear to ear. Erik was basically giving him a way to procure cheap vibranium.

"And what's your cut, boy?"

"10% and after we make the first 100 million, you need to tell me where the Golden City is."

Klaue thought about it for a moment before wanting to agree. No matter how he thought about it, it was a reasonable deal. He would get rich off of vibranium once again and he wouldn't have to be afraid of pissing off the Wakandans again. And even after he gave Erik the coordinates, he could just back away and no longer be involved.

Just as Klaue was about to agree, explosions appeared all over the ship. Lightning, ice, and flames shot out of each hole, killing the various mercenaries on contact or impact. In moments, everyone in the room was dead except for Klaue and Erik. Both pulled out their guns and aimed at the entrances.

"Think very carefully about this. Do you really want to piss off the people that shoot out the elements and allow you to live through the first volley?"

Hearing the question, both men looked at each other before dropping their weapons. The two men held their three arms in the air in surrender.

Out of the smoke, the members of the Great Ring entered the room, save for Nezhno who was watching over their prisoners and the ship. J'Zaki ignored Klaue and looked straight at the other man and spoke to him in Wakandan.

"Americans call you Erik Stevens. Your father named you N'Jadaka. Your enemies call you Killmonger. Son of Prince N'Jobu, a traitor to our people. I am here to bring you home to Wakanda."

(Just wanna give everyone a heads-up but this story will be ending around chapter 100. This was never meant to be a super long story. So we will have the Battle of Champions, Infinity War, Endgame, and Wakanda Forever to cover with a little other stuff sprinkled in. Just wanna give everyone a heads-up since we are, almost, at the halfway point. Next story will be much longer and plan on having that one be around 800-1000 chapters)
