Chapter II

"Seems like you've got a suitor right there, so who was that fine gentleman, hmm?" teased Pinkerbell as she nudged Alyssa's elbow.

"The name is Invenzor Thompson, and he is not my suitor. It was an advance birthday gift, which was this necklace and bracelet," Alyssa said as she showed them the gift that he gave.

"That looks expensive. Can I see it?" Angelica asked as her eyes widened.

N: Alyssa nodded, as she gave it to Angelica to see. Pinkerbell also came closer to Angelica to see the gift.

"These seem like real diamonds; I think you hit the jackpot, Alyssa," Pinkerbell remarked.

"Just because he bought me real diamonds as gifts doesn't mean I hit the jackpot. Besides, I hardly know the guy," Alyssa said.

"If you hardly know the guy, then why don't you guys go out to get to know each other. He gave his number to you, right?" Pres. Mary said while asking as she raised her eyebrow.

Alyssa nodded, saying, "Yes, he did. But, I'm not going to date a guy who I hardly know."

"Which is why you're going on a date with him to get to know each other," Pres. Mary said.

"It's a waste if you don't go out with him. He's got it all." Angelica remarked. "His tall, handsome, thoughtful, and sweet," She added.

"She's right, you don't find guys like this anymore. If I were you, I would go out with him," Pinkerbell said.

"Should I call him?" Alyssa asked.

"Of course, you should," Angelica said.

"But, what do I say?" She asked, adding, "I don't know how to make the first move."

"Just tell him that you want to go on a date," Jerna said, as she popped up out of nowhere.

"Jerna!" Alyssa yelled. "Since when did you arrive?" She asked.

"Just now, actually," Jerna said with a smile.

"You guys, we need to focus here. Shouldn't the guy be the one who makes the first move and not the girl?" Angel asked as she also popped up out of nowhere.

"He's already made his first move, and that was giving her the gift and his phone number. Now it's the girl's turn to make the move," Angelica said.

"So, what's your move?" Angel asked.

"I'd probably call him. I guess," Alyssa unsurely answered.

"What are you sitting around for? Call him if you want to go on a date," Micah said as she joined in the conversation.

Alyssa nodded and said, "Wish me luck on this one." She was about to press the call button when a knock on the door interrupted her.

"I'll go get it," said Jerna, as she opened the door.

N: As she opened the door, there stood a guy that Alyssa was all too familiar with. Jerna asked what his purpose was for coming here.

"I'm looking for Alyssa. Is she here?" The guy asked with a smile.

"A moment please, ha-ha," Jerna said as she nervously laughed while slightly closing the door.

"So, who's at the door?" Pres. Mary asked as she came closer to Jerna.

Jerna whispered and asked, "It's Alyssa's ex-boyfriend. What should we do?"

"What does he want?" she asked.

"Isn't it obvious, his looking for Alyssa, Pres," Jerna said.

Pres. Mary nodded, and said, "I'll handle this. Go and tell Alyssa."

Jerna nodded, as she went back inside. Pres. Mary talked to the guy outside the student council.

"Hi, I'm Pres. Mary. What do you need from Alyssa? " Pres. Mary asked with arms crossed.

"I just want to talk to her, if that's okay," the guy said.

"Hmm, let's see if she's willing to talk to you. Just stay right there," she added as she went back inside.

As she entered, Alyssa was already panicking, pacing in circles as she bit her nails and started shaking Jerna.

"What's he doing here?" Alyssa asked while holding Jerna's shoulders.

Jerna said, "He's looking for you. Isn't it obvious? "

"But, what does he want!?" She yelled as her eyes widened.

"He wants to talk to you," Pres. Mary said.

"Talk about what?" She asked Pres while raising her eyebrow as she added, "We broke up years ago. He already has a new girlfriend. What does he want from me? "

"I don't know, but you should go talk to him since it must be very important," Pres. Mary said.

"But, I don't want to talk to him just yet. I'm too scared to face him," Alyssa said as she tightly squeezed Jerna's shoulder.

"Fine, I'll do it for you. What do you want me to tell him? " Pres. Mary suggested as she asked.

"Tell him, I'm not here," Alyssa said in a harsh voice as she stood up with her arms crossed.

"Are you sure about this?" Pres. Mary asked.

"Yes, I'm sure, Pres," Alyssa said as she went to the balcony.

"Very well, then. I'll let him know. " Pres. Mary said as she went back to talk to the guy and said, "I'm very sorry, but Alyssa isn't here right now. Maybe come back another time." she added.

"Are you sure?" The guy asked, as he tried to open the door.

But, Pres. Mary stopped him and said,

"Sir, I advise you to stay right where you are, or else I'm going to report you for trespassing. Once again, I am sure that Alyssa isn't here."

"All right, I'm stopping. If you were really telling the truth that she wasn't here, then why did I hear her voice, hmm?" He stopped opening the door as he backed off as he speculated.

Pres. Mary added, "The voice you heard was one of our officers."

"Okay, then. Thank you for your time." The guy thanked her and left.

After he left, Pres. Mary came back and went to the balcony to talk to Alyssa. She closed the doors of the balcony so that the other officers wouldn't hear them.

"I told him that you weren't here even though you were here," Pres. Mary said.

"Thank you, Pres. Did he sense that I was here?" Alyssa thanked her as she turned around to face her.

"Yes, he did and he tried to come in because he heard your voice," Pres. Mary explained.

"I'm very sorry about all of this, Pres. I just wasn't ready to face him after all these years," Alyssa apologized as she explained.

"I understand, but next time if you're ready to face him." Pres. Mary said, "Go and talk to him," As she held her hand and left the balcony.

Alyssa murmured and said, "If only it was that easy." She sighed and went back inside.
