20. Midst of a full-blown panic.

'Worse? Worse. Worse than what I just saw?!'- Sophia mulled over what the goddess had just said in her mind and seemed to be more than a little flustered. 'Why, why is this happening to me, why am I having to deal with this! If those creatures are much worse, wouldn't I die?! I would definitely be eaten?! Why was I brought here? I'm just little old me with barely any meat on my bones, I'm safe on Earth anyways. I don't have to see and or be involved with these creatures ever again, I can just wake up and be on my merry way!' -Sophia though even more determinedly.

She was going to leave this place and go home, back to earth or wake up or whatever the heck was happening to her, it didn't matter because she was going to go home.' Sophia comforted herself with these thoughts.

The goddess who was observing her, listening to her thoughts and had a look of nostalgia on her face, seemed to not be to bothered with the fact that Sophia wanted to go home, she also didn't interrupt her tirade. It was like none of this had any consequence.

If one was to look closer at her divine face, other would think she looked serene, like she was just out enjoying the view, like she knew Sophia would not think about leaving soon enough.

It would have infuriated Sophia, who was obviously in the midst of a full-blown panic. "Calm down, Sophia, it will all be ok, by the end of this, you will not only understand somethings you will not be so afraid, but you have to have some patience."- The goddess had to calm her down first, so she spoke to Sophia using the words she knew would have some effects on her.

Sophia looked up staining her neck in the process, to look at the gigantic goddess and took in a breath, she wasn't really calm but she knew she couldn't panic right now as it wouldn't help her weird situation, so she forced herself to calm down. She took a few more deep breaths and then when she was relatively calm she observed her new surroundings to get a better grasp on where she was now.

She noticed she was actually now standing by a wide and beautiful lake, it was vast and surrounded by tall swaying trees and breath-taking flowers, it looked like a sparkling and lush dreamscape.

It was a stunning view, the suns, which were reflected on the lake in ripples that the gentle breeze had caused, looked crystal clear, like a hazy natural mirror of the world around it. One could see that the lake was teaming with life if you stared into it, the various abundant colours of the flowers and plant-life near this massive lake had taken Sophia breath away, she no longer had any other thoughts but one, to enjoy the scenery, a scene that she had never seen before.

As she was lost in its beauty, she heard a gasp and then footfalls, like a person was running/staggering towards the lake and when she turned, she was again for the umpteenth time, stunned.

A woman.....A stunningly gorgeous woman who looked surprisingly like herself was seen. She looked so similar, but it was not 100 percent, more like 70 percent like herself. She had striking features like herself, but her hair was shorter and straighter, and her skin tone was a little darker. However, her face… it was so similar that Sophia couldn't help but raise her hand to her own face, her eyes were wide as she stared at this unexpected and unknown woman. Beyond shocked, a myriad of thoughts passed through Sophia's head as she tried to understand what this meant, she then turned to looked at the goddess. "Who is this woman?"- Sophia got straight to the point, she had a bold and scary guess in her mind, but she didn't want to say it out loud in case she was wrong.

The goddess gave Sophia a smile but didn't say a word, it was like she was giving her a silent confirmation to her guesses. But a silent confirmation wasn't enough. She wanted actual confirmation of her guess. Was this woman her mother or grandmother? It couldn't be a coincidence that the goddess brough her here to see this woman, and she had a feeling deep within her as Sophia was watching this scene, looking at this strange woman, that they were connected. It was a bone deep feeling.
