The Other Space
Cheng Xiu blinked as San Zhe and Yaksha disappeared from her sight.
She looked around in confusion. She was still in the same space as before. The long corridor stretched out in front of her, lit by the wooden torches.
Cheng Xiu frowned. Both of her male teammates were gone.
The one who broke the rule was not her though, so why did they disappear?
Her thoughts cleared immediately. She was the one who should have disappeared. Since that was the case, the place that she stood should be an illusion or maybe a different space to the one from before.
She looked around. There was no marked difference between this corridor and the one that she stood in before with the boys. Cheng Xiu decided to just walk forwards. There was no way that she would gain anything by standing here alone.
The second that she took a step forwards, Cheng Xiu's intuition flared.
She ducked.
An arrow flew past her overhead.
