Expedition: The Curse of Terror

Seeing Arthur instantly killed four Barbfiends Finn and George forgot to close their mouth in shock.

"Hey hey close your mouth you two. I'm amazing right?" Arthur boasting.

Both of them closes their mouth and George says "Tsss. I'm just stunned how you brutality killed the last one. Look at your feet, there's still a part of it's brain sticking."

Arthur look at his boots and sees that there's really parts of brain sticking on it. He quickly shake it off out of disgust "F**k it's so disgusting."

"Hahahaha." Both Finn and George laughs.

Three of them becomes the reinforcement team, preventing formation lines to collapse.

-- At the frontline --

Astrid who's leading the charge notices that the back most part of their arrow head formation stabilizing. She asks the officer beside her "The formation has stabilized, who's the cause of it?"

"Commander, based in report the soldiers called Arthur, Finn and George are the one reason why the formation stabilized. They preventing the enemies to push thru our formation lines.

"So it's Arthur again... He even got a team now haha. What an intelligent person..." Astrid smiles when she heard it.

'Commander smile?!" The officer was stunned when he sees it.

*Slash*

Astrid killed the monster that tries to attack the stunned officer "Don't lose it thought! FIGHT!"

"I... I... YES COMMANDER!" The officer immediately return to his battle stance, following Astrid's charge.

-- Returning to Arthur's POV --

*Gasp!*

While following the formation, Arthur and the two gasps for air.

"Huuu! I got additional endurance for doing this." Arthur wipes his sweats on his forehead.

"Arthur... I also got the additional stat... but I can't do it anymore..." Finn and George says.

"It's our momentum don't stop! Let's save others while gaining stats! Think of it as training... LET'S GO!" Arthur excitedly looks around.

Both of them remember the training maniac Arthur when it comes to training and stats.

Their stamina and endurance are constantly decreasing, moving inside the formation and fighting much stronger enemies are the reason why.

Finn and George trying to be injured while fighting enemies but Arthur didn't let them do what they want.

Arthur always there when an incoming attacks are coming toward them.

Deflecting arrows using his rope dart or sword, blocking swords and claws of the enemies.

*Gasp!*

"Finn... we can't be injured with Arthur on our side... Do wanna try to die?" George says with his tired expression.

"Let's try it... Ahhh!" Finn charging towards the enemies but Arthur reacts faster than him, he quickly attack and kill all the enemies near them.

Wiping his sweat, Arthur look at Finn and smile "Don't worry... I won't let you two die."

Finn and George trembles when they see Arthur evil smile "He he he... That's reassuring to here." both of them says.

While their innerselves says 'Oh please let us rest'.

But Arthur is Arthur... The training and stats maniac. He keep pulling both Finn and George to every part of their formation where's the help is needed. He even pulled two priestesses on their team just to support them.

Arthur intentionally picked beautiful priestesses Stella and Gwen. Boosting his two friends morale and lessens their fatigue accumulating within their body using the priestesses buffs.

Finn and George overall performance improve, trying to show off to the priestesses on their team.

'Fufufu... that's what called two birds in 1 stone.' Arthur faintly smirks seeing his plan was a success.

-- Astrid's POV --

"Enemies are getting stronger and stronger, we're near to their base! Just a little more soldiers! FIGHT!" Astrid shouts.

"HAAAAHHH!" Soldiers on her back responses to her shouts.

Astrid sees an incoming spear toward them. It's not just a simple spear throw but a powerful one.

'It's the same spear that destroyed the wall!' Astrid quickly thinks for a plan.

"DEFENSE FORMATION! SHIELD SPELLS! QUICKLY!" While Astrid commanding her battalions, she Immediately pulls out her shield in her storage ring.

[ Guardian of Pendragon's Empire Shield (Legendary, infinity) equipped. ]

"Flame Insignia: PROTECTION!" Flames quickly spread on the front of battalions.

"Write!.. Earth Wall!"

"Write!.. Fire Wall!"

"Write!.. Light Shield!"

Thousands of mages casted their spells following Astrid's command... but the spear power is just too strong.

*BOOOOMMMMM!*

The protection skill of Astrid with thousands of mages spells finally receives the power spear and stop it... but they have failed to block the shockwave created by the spear

Thousands of soldiers got thrown away and died with just a spear shockwave.

"NO!" Astrid's only word seeing her soldiers dies.

"HAHAHAHA! Insects are insects!" A loud deafening laughter heard all over the place.

"Ahhh!... Princess of the Battlefield... You really are stunning as rumours said. You have passed as my concubine... HAHAHAHA!" As the time passes the voice is getting nearer and nearer until they saw a 10 feet high giant demon.

The expedition soldiers trembles in terror when they saw Diablo slowly walking towards them.

"De... Demon Lord DIABLO! AHHHHHH!"

"We... we're dead..."

"Ahhhh!.."

The newly graduated soldiers are abandoning their lines while the veteran soldiers lose their hope that they will survive this war.

'I have found the enemy commander... It's Demon Lord of Terror, Diablo. I'll use the knights token to summon you guys and tell the Lord Commanders that we need them too.'

Astrid quickly use long range whisper to contact the other knights.

"HAHAHAHA! Look at those insects! Running away for their lives... Curse of Terror!".

"NO! NO! NO! AHHHH!"

"KILL ME! KILL ME!"

"Write... Holy Protection!"

Diablo activates his curse, causing all the weak willed soldiers kill themselves While the other soldiers survive Diablo's curse because of their willpower while the others are saved by the priests and priestesses holy light protection.

The scenes give goosebumps to all remaining soldiers. The thirty thousands soldiers from first, third and fourth battalion are now only fifteen thousands left.

"NOOOOOO! Summoning Token!" Astrid helplessly saw her soldiers killing themselves. She angrily activates her knight summon token to call the other knights and lord commanders.

*Zzzzzzznnnngggg*

A bright summoning crest shows on the ground and seven silhouettes of people slowly showing.

"Astrid I'm here. You have nothing to worry about anymore." Roy says.

"Commander, reporting!" Luke, Brian and Steven salutes to Astrid.

"Demon Lord?... Tssss he'll die with my tier seven spells HAHAHA!" Lord Commander Biley says.

"Your battalions have been thru a lot Astrid. Thank you for your service." Lord Commander Roger thanks Astrid and the battalions.

"Your battalions received most of the damage on this war Astrid. We won't forget their loyalty...

Now let's end this war." Lord Commander Armstrong fixing his gloves while a tier 8 crest circling on his back.
