Chapter 86: Silent Guild Branch and the Treasure Hunt - Part 10
"Ugh," the merman groaned in pain as he touched his head.
"Who are you? You are not human--no, you are higher than dragons!" His face became complicated as he looks at us.
"Yeah, he is the [Dragon Emperor] and I am the [Dragon God]..." I smiled as we discovered that the mermaids and mermen started to rise.
Floriau isn't surprised because he probably already knew that I am at that level of racial class because of how powerful are my skills. Especially when I merged my [Catastrophe Dragon's Fire Ball] into his.
It is not a simple feature after all.
Only people who reached a certain level of manipulation can do that thing.
The merman is speechless for a moment and then, he bowed towards us as his eyes started to form a pearl.
That is their tear.
Their tears are pearl and the color is based on what is the reason for their tears.
If it is white, it came from grudge or helplessness, red if it came from anger and pink came from happiness or love.
The pearl that dropped from his face is a pure red pearl.
"Why are you guys knocked or to be more precise-- on the brink of death?" Floriau asked as he continued helping the other injured mermaids and merman because the seahorse can't heal them completely.
"It is the water dragon on a rampage." I am shocked for a moment and said, "What do you mean?"
"Water dragon is a high-tier dragon who is protecting the water bodies. Every year, he will lose his consciousness and then run a rampage. When he snapped back to his consciousness, he can't remember what happened. We can't blame him. It is because of that shitty curse!" His face became angry as he urges to swim away to find someone.
"Curse? Can you tell us more about it?" I followed him and then it seems like he is finding that girl where he immediately spotted.
"I can tell you more later, Emperor, God, please let us rest a little bit if that is okay..." I just nod and helped the humanoid fishes completely heal their injuries.
I also noticed that some of them got some dark energy that is so gross and malicious, the feeling of curse energy.
For starters, the curse magic is the subsidiary element of the dark and demon element. They are in the path of evil or chaos.
Curses have many forms such as the curse of lethargy or the curse of nullification. Purification might work but it can only weaken the effects, not completely releases a person from the curse.
There are three ways to remove a curse: one, kill the player who cursed you in your hands. Two, ask the person who cursed you to release the curse, and lastly, asks a higher being to remove the curse.
The higher beings are the [Elemental Lord], [Sages], [Fairy Chief], and [Dragon King] but since the incarnation of the [Dragon King]'s whereabouts is unknown, it is impossible for him to remove the curse.
[Dragon Emperor] or [Dragon God]'s power won't do. We can remove the curse but the dragon might die if we used that. Our powers are too powerful, after all.
Since I am not a [Sage] anymore, I can't do anything for the [Water Dragon].
"Can you tell us about the curs--no, about everything you know..." I said as my face became very serious.
"Yes. Several million years ago, the gods from another world..." It is the same story.
The story that the [Forest Guardian] told me about the gods and heroes of killing or sealing them. It is the exact story that the merman from earlier told us.
The reason that the [Water Dragon] is cursed is because of a [Shinto God] called [Amatsuhikone] which is I am also familiar with.
[Amatsuhikone] is the third son of Amaterasu. His name is literally named as the "little lad in Heavens". He is created by Amaterasu from the vines that she used to bind her hair.
It also seems like he is the one who cursed the [Water God]
Since [Amatsuhikone] is originally a vine from the heavens, he probably loves nature and knows all about the various type of plants such as the plants that give you illness or even manipulate you.
If you think of it that way, he probably used his knowledge about plants and used it as a curse. He is a god created by [Amaterasu] in the first place.
God really has their own ways.
"If that is a god's curse, then even the [Dragon King]s power cannot fix that curse. The only people that can do it are the emperor and gods. But the [Water Dragon]'s body is fragile in front of two of us, the dragon can't handle our insane amount of power to release the god's curse..." I sighed as I also noticed that their face are kind of hopeless.
They are all sad and speechless.
"Can't we really do something about it?" said Floriau as he swam in front of me.
"Who said that there isn't?" I smiled widely then everyone's faces changed.
"R-really, your highness?!" The merman jumped--swam in circle movement out of joy which is followed by the pink pearls that keep falling to the seabed.
"Then, what is the way?" Floriau is also curious but it seems like he still doesn't get it since I am not using it today.
Everyone is focused on us, listening to every word we said.
"The only thing I can do is to seal the curse itself!" They sighed in relief as I chuckled and then asked, "Do you know where is that dragon living?"
They just nod and then started to win towards the river--or to be more precise, into the sea.
I have a seal that I can use for that. [God Curse Sealing] and [Mortal Curse Sealing] for both mortals and gods. I already knew them but I forgot it a little bit as I am listening to the story,
"He lives near the northern sea next to the [Loki Ocean], the [Liz Ocean]" The merman in front said as he continued guiding every single mermaids and merman towards the [Water Dragon]
'Is the name of the oceans here are a human name? As far as I know, there is also a [Jared Ocean] in the east and [Arron Ocean] near the [Fairy Empire]...'
"Are you guys going there with us?" I asked as I am bothered by our number,
"Yeah, we want to witness the power of the lords! If that isn't bothering you..." A boy who looks handsome said as he swims next to us.
"N-no, it isn't bothering us at all but you might get hurt if something happened!" said Floriau as the boy smiled and then replied, "Our Lord isn't weak so it will definitely okay!"
'You are telling me indirectly that if that happens, we must protect you?!' I sighed as I stared at the boy with an unbelievable expression written on my face.
'The way of that boy's thinking... Is kind of terrifying...'

We shift in direction and saw a magnificent rock formation that looks like probably the shelter of the dragon.
[Artificial Sense]
As I extended my mana, I can't see anyone nor feel. He is not there.
'Then, where is he?'
Without hesitation, I spread my mana and said, "[Supreme Dragon's Sensory Radar]"
A beam of light appeared as my mana is spreading all throughout the water bodies in the continent.
I looked at the radar and saw the huge dot in it.
He is near us, he is in this area... Bur where?
I extended my mana towards the surface but there is nothing in there. The seabed is also dark so we can't see freely.
[Artificial Sense]
I closed my eyes as I extended my senses and mana at the same time to know what is under or above the seabed.
I opened my eyes as I found nothing.
"I can't find him on the surface, under the sea bed and above the seabed. The dragon is not on its habitat either..." I stared at the bottom of the sea and noticed that the blackness of the darkness in the deep sea is kind of strange.
I felt that it is some kind of energy.
Energies change their state of matter. Gas in the land, liquid in the bottom, and solid inside the dungeons and monsters that we have also known as [Dungeon Core] and [Monster Core]
With my [Artificial Sense], I can only use the five senses and not the sixth one. That is why I don't know what kind of energy is that.
But by the looks of it, it seems like it is a dark element similar to the death element that [Cerberus] emits in the [Dryad Empire]
Then, if that is the case.
The [Water God] might've been changed into a dragon into a regressed state of the curse of metamorphosis.
The dragon became the black energy itself.
