Chapter 01: Weird and Beginning

"It's been a year, huh?" Theo said as he walked through the hallway while checking the website of Olympus on his phone.

'It didn't get another test, I wonder why. And half a month later, they officially announced the game to the public. I can't understand the mindset of the creators. I already have the Olympus game capsule, I can play it now later. Secretly...' Theo thought as he entered the door of a certain room. And in that room, his father, Reed Xeros is sitting on his table writing some documents and looking through the computer every time he stopped writing for a moment. Reed Xeros has white hair and black eyes.

'I wonder why he'd call me?' He thought while he is curious about why is his father acting weird.

"Theo, you know the very first full-dive virtual reality, right?" Reed asked as he stood up. Theo nods, and he smiled, "Thenーplay it" Reed tapped his shoulder as he was dumbfounded.

'Huh?' Theo is speechless.

'What did he just say? I am not hearing nonsense, isn't it?' He asked himself.

His father, Reed is a parent that is very strict when it comes to money and education. And because of that, Theo is forced to study everything and join his father in his company after he graduates, but his father asked his son to play a game? That is what he continuously asked himself.

'I am 100% sure, it is about money...' He answered himself while regained his posture.

"Why father? What is so special about this game that you want me to play it?" Theo asked as he stared at his father.

"Wellー" His father can't answer. 'I really guessed it! Money! D**n' Theo curses.

"I won't represent our family, I might disappoint you in the game. I am not used to playing games after all" Theo explained while he still keeps his poker face. He also heard the fireworks outside, but he did not show any interest in the event nor his family.

"Are you serious?" Reed suddenly calmed down as if he is a calmed tiger after giving it a lump of human meat.

"Wellー" His father looks gloomy and continued, "How about I will let you play it but not represent our family but let you enjoy it"

Theo was dumbfounded. He can't even imagine that his father ever said that to him until now.

Theo's father realized something as he remembers what Theo said earlier. 'I am not used to playing games after all'

"Did Master Reed said that?" Maya said as he watched Theo picking up the towels left on the ground while nodding. "It is surprising, no?" Theo smiles that his smile will reach to his ears. He is really happy with the development.

'But why the change of hearts? Even young mistress Rafaela who is the favorite child of their father refused on letting her play games, what's going on?' Maya said to herself as she took the towels that Theo picked up for her.

He stared at Theo and sensed something different. 'Young master... He looks more handsome than his handsome usual face. His silver hair with some strands of blue hair and his eyes of gray seems to be improved today. Just what is going on?' Maya said as she blushed and immediately left.

"What is wrong with Maya?" Theo said while continued walking.

Their house is bigーno, it is not the correct term, enormous. His father's office that he went into is on the west side of the house. Theo's room is on the second floor above the room of his father's office. He walked while looking through his phone on the updates on the game.

'A lot of articles, huh?' Theo said as he noticed that the maids who are passing by are looking at Theo. 'What is their problem?' Theo thought while climbing up the stairs.

"Father is weird, Maya is weird, why is everyone so weird?" Theo said while pouting and went in the direction of his room.

On the way to his room, while looking at some articles, he passed by his older brother, Gaius. Gaius has white hair and black eyes, and he exactly looked like his father when he is a teenager.

Gaius is also a bit weird for Theo. Then Gaius asked, "Little brother, why are you so charming today?" Theo was dumbfounded.

"What do you mean by charming?" Theo is confused. "I mean, you looked very attractive today, no? While looking at you, I feel at ease despite being nervous being called by father" Gaius laughed.

"I don't know, I didn't even notice!" Theo said while saying to himself, 'Is that why they are looking at me?'

He arrived at his room and obviously, he entered the room and looked at his game capsule that he hid in the hidden compartment on his floor.

Theo lifted it from the compartment and placed it beside his bed.

'Weirdly, it looked like it is very heavy but even Maya can't lift this. What a weird new year...'
