Chapter 11 - Giving them a Lesson

[Some players, instead of choosing a specific path, just remain on the initial path where even they themselves cannot determine the direction they will take.]

[However, to become powerful, one does not necessarily have to focus on a single thing until they reach a high level of proficiency; they could still learn a multitude of things and combine and concoct various ingredients to create a legendary achievement]

[The Super Novice class may appear to be a small, insignificant story and achievement, but it has great potential.]

[The player has now been granted the new class: Super Novice.]

[The new Unique Class, Super Novice, has been unlocked.]

[Identifying the most compatible weapon type for the user...]

[The user has the highest compatibility with Sword type weapons.]

[The new skill Quick Strike (Active) Lv. 1 has been unlocked.]

[The new skill Charged Attack (Active) Lv. 1 has been unlocked.]

[Identifying survival skills...]

[The user has gained some magic-based heal skills.]

[The new skill Blessing of Health (Active) Lv. 1 has been unlocked.]

[The new skill Healing Touch (Active) Lv. 1 has been unlocked.]

[As you progress, more skills will be unlocked. The more matches you have with the type of weapon and type of battle, the higher the Super Novice's rarity will become - the aim is always to reach the highest possible Tier!]

Broken gulped slowly, realizing suddenly that he had been blessed with an upgrade of his class - from a super basic one to one with extraordinary potential. "I hope the goddess of Sloth can explain this to me," he thought. "How did this happen? Of course this is because of Self Transcendence, but how does this blessing work?"

However, he now had a newfound hope of being able to fight back against the people who stood before him. He was now equipped with one powerful offensive skill, one charged skill, and two survivability skills. "Who would have thought that this naked novice had an early Christmas present for these player killers," he muttered under his breath with a faint smile on his face.

Broken gripped his ironwood blade firmly in his right hand and steeled himself for battle, his face an expression of self-assurance and a smirk on his lips. "Now, you lot, brace yourselves for a fight," he declared confidently. "Do you really think I'm going to be scared of you? Hell No!" he scoffed. "I'm not running scared!"

The five people who were surrounding Broken began to ponder as they observed his demeanor. His appearance was particularly unusual: wearing only his underwear and grinning contentedly when he realized five player killers were menacing him.

"What's going on?" they thought.

"Why is this fool acting like he wants us to pummel him? Is he a masochist?" one of them questioned.

"I don't care. I just want to make him suffer," the other replied gruffly.

"But what if he actually feels joy when he gets injured? Just look at him. What regular player would go around in just his underwear like that? And he also appears as if the inside of his mind is being damaged. Perhaps that's why his name is Broken," the other one suggested.

"So, are we still going to beat up this guy?"

"No, let him be," the other responded, shaking his head. "I think it would be useless to kill him; he doesn't appear to be carrying anything in his inventory."

Those five players seemed to have their morale sapped, and without even sparing Broken a glance, they turned around and began to walk away.

The wind kicked up, and it blew against Broken's body, leaving him feeling even more dejected than before. Even the player killers had been reluctant to take him on.

"Hey! Are you guys looking down on me? I have a rare class and an uncommon degree of potential!"

Broken shouted out, his voice ringing in the air. He started to walk after the five players, a plan forming in his mind. If he could kill one of them, he would get some great item drops, maybe even a new armor or weapon, so he wouldn't have to bother going into town to buy it.

"They're used to killing players, so I don't think it would be wrong if I do the same to them," he declared. "I have nothing to lose!" He exclaimed, then swiftly jumped onto Polly's back.

"Polly, let's battle them!" he exclaimed firmly.

"Yes, Broken!" Polly responded eagerly, and she quickly sped off to catch up with the five players earlier.

[Blessing of Health (Active Skill) Lv. 1]

Cooldown: 60 minutes.]

Reading the information on his new skill, Broken was sure that he had acquired a skill that could increase his total Health by 30%. He realized that this increase was no small feat, especially considering the skill was still at level 1. With a higher total stat, the effect of the skill would be even more pronounced.

[Healing Touch (Active Skill) Lv. 1]

[Heals wounds and injuries with a gentle touch.]

[Level 1: You can heal anything with just a touch of your hand, restoring the target's Health by up to 30% of your magical attack.

Mana Cost: 10% of Total Mana.

Cooldown: 20 seconds.]

And, he was ecstatic when he received an upgrade of First Aid, which granted him an incredible healing skill that could restore 30% of his overall health! "This is so amazing!" he exclaimed in surprise.

Broken focused his eyes as Polly ran quickly towards them. He was ready to jump and use all of his offensive skills as soon as he was in close proximity.

Those players had clearly underestimated him, and he saw this as an opportunity to turn the situation to his advantage.

"They won't notice that I have something under my robe... I mean, under my underwear," he said.

Polly soon caught up to the five players, and Broken could easily make out their figures.

"It seems that this idiot Broken really doesn't appreciate our kindness!" one of them shouted angrily.

"Just kill him!" another shouted.

"No! We have to run. He will be happy if we kill him; he's a mad masochist!"

Broken paid close attention to the classes of the five people: one mage, two warriors, one archer, and one tanker. He observed that they had a pretty good combination for a good party, yet sadly lacked a healer. He was certain that none of the four types of classes could heal the others.

"They can only rely on healing potions," he said clearly. "I must use all the skills I possess in order to take out the player with the lowest Health..."

He then concluded that the "Archer!" was the best option. Mages usually possess a passive shield that can cover their weaknesses in terms of Health and Defense, and a warrior was not the right choice. His only option was to attack their archer.

"Charged Attack!"

[Charged Attack (Active Skill) Lv. 1]

[The ability to charge up a powerful attack and unleash a devastating blow.]

[The user can leap quickly up to 6 meters away, delivering a mini stun of 0.2 seconds to any opponent they strike. Their attack deals damage equivalent to 180% of their physical attack, ensuring no one can escape their target. Be aggressive, chase them down, and conquer them!

Restriction Skill: Sword Type Weapon

Mana Cost: 120

Cooldown: 45 seconds]

Broken's body shot up from Polly's back, and he quickly leaped and struck the archer man who was nearby. At the same time, Polly ran and quickly cast her illusion spell, and her body seemed to split into five.

The archer man was sent tumbling to the ground by the force of Broken's sword.

"What the hell?! This idiot doesn't know how to show gratitude!" one of them shouted. "Kill him!"

However, Polly attacked from several angles and slashed with her sharp nails. But her efforts didn't seem to have much of an effect on the group.

"Quick Strike!"

[Quick Strike (Active Skill) Lv. 1]

[The sword user is able to make quick and powerful strikes with the sword.]

[Carry out a swift attack on the opponent for 210% of your physical attack with a slight chance of dealing a critical of 350% of physical attack.

Be sure to do it correctly, as this attack can be dodged or parried.

Restriction Skill: Sword Type Weapon

Mana Cost: 140

Cooldown: 20 seconds]

Broken swung his sword towards the fallen archer with all his might. Knowing he only had 276 mana, he had to make the most of the skills he had to maximize the damage he could do.

[Quick Strike is performed! A critical attack occurs, dealing 350% of physical attack to the target!]

Gulping down a mana potion, Broken quickly replenished his meager mana. He knew he could only do this once, as mana potions had a certain cooldown.

"Multiple cutting edges!"

The sword in Broken's hand moved swiftly, and with deft movements, he slashed at the body of the sprawled archer. He attempted to pin him down with his feet.

The archer desperately attempted to defend himself against the onslaught from Broken, but the latter's agility and proficiency with a sword allowed him to deliver the final strike. In a matter of moments, the archer's body became transparent and began to dissipate into thousands of tiny pixels before fading away from sight.
