He then summoned his two-handed wrench on a whim and then went on to step farther toward the darkness.
[Lamp bot]
He used the skill and the bot then appeared. A bot was seen carrying a lantern in its hands. He then traversed the way toward the village. As he was preparing to leave, he saw the brazier that had halted to emit light.
It was then, that the lamp was struck by a shadowy entity. The bot crashed on the ground and it then puffed out like a bubble, disappearing in the process.
Darkness then came and Roan was left without a light to see. Luckily, there was light from the moon that gave ample vision.
He used his goggles and then his vision became as bright as day.
The creatures then appeared and they were none other than the creatures of darkness. They were none other than ghast. A creature that came from Hell.
They have ghostly bottoms while having claws that can rip flesh. Also has a face of a mummified human that breathes a cold aura.
Roan was left with no other choice but to fight. Gripping his wrench, he slammed the creatures with his weapon.
Bang boom bing!
He smashed them as they attacked from the side and then on the front. The creatures then attacked and they clawed Arthur.

Roan then smashes the ground and an explosion of fire carries a shockwave in the aftermath.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Ghast then went scattering around and Roan continued to smash them with his weapon. He smashed horizontally on one and it was hit in the face. Others still attacked and he furiously smashed them. Every hit was enough to send them flying.
Others were shaking their heads after they were flung. They shrieked and then went attacking once again.
Roan's attack speed was only in the slow category. As such, he was barely able to lift the weapon. He didn't use the weapon to full capacity and also lacked the strength attribute.
Enemies attacked once again and they were more furious than usual. They clawed him and he was hit on the shoulders and thighs. Roan hissed at the pain as he felt his wound bleed.
The alarming one was the fact that wounds from the creatures of darkness were having a blight of corruption. It has to be cleansed with Holy water to fully heal it. If not, his soul and body will turn into the damned. He will become a minion of darkness forever as long as he lives.
Roan then inwardly cursed, he would have to cleanse the blight or corruption will spread throughout his body.
He then smashed his weapon and then he used his skill [Exploding smash].
Bang! Boom!
The enemy that the skill landed on was then pulverized. He then smashed the others and they were one by one pulverized. Dispersing like smoke in thin air. Making their shriek in the aftermath.

Roan then was gasping for air and took a breather.
"Hmmm, I guess that I have to treat my wounds first," he opened the lid of the bottle of holy water and then poured it into the wounds.
The wounds sizzled and burned like fire. The infection of blight then evaporated like a dark miasma. He can only grit his teeth as he felt the pain subside then his wounds closed. The feeling of relief was pleasurable for him.
"Sigh, I have to use this potion sparingly or I will run out fast," he muttered then put back the lid of the potion.
Preparing to leave, he then saw the Brazier of light, the very object that keeps the darkness at bay not lit. It all caused the creatures to freely roam the place.
He approached it and then lit it up. It then made light on the darkness.
"I have to light them up. What could have happened here that this brazier was not lit? This place is tainted with evil." Roan then pondered.
He then went on his way and traveled towards the fishing village. With him having fought the enemies, he might not meet anything soon.
He then went onwards towards the village. The darkness then worsened and he was forced to use his lamp bot. Floating beside him as he traveled the path.
Not being able to see afar made him worry as he might be attacked any time soon. The lamp bot then floated above him and followed after him. Making him have company with him. They soon arrived at the entrance of the village and Roan was alarmed.
Shrieks of goblins soon bathed the surroundings and his heart sank.
