The fires flickered on the fireplace beside the bed of Sir Kevin. The two talked for several minutes, Roan told him about his forest of trial experience as well as how he became an adventurer. Until the point of their crystal hunting and how he became friends with some of his troops. Until telling him of their deaths on the attack of Dark fellowship.

"I am so sorry for your loss. I can relate to losing a loved one as my students are killed too. They are a bunch of energetic recruits in the past and were assigned to this village. Now, they were in peace," he said.

"Yep, I think that they were at peace," Roan replied.

"I will cook something up, and sleep for now," Roan added.

Roan then made a vegetable soup and put beef in its content. A beef vegetable soup to be exact. He cooked in the kitchen and put more wood on the fireplace. Making it emit more fire and heat.

Roan then carried the soup in a bowl and then gave it to him.

"Thanks," he said as he grabbed the bowl with two hands.

He then ate without reserve and then finished it in minutes. The meat was tenderized and soft while the broth was slightly salty and has umami. Making him praise Roan's cooking skills.

"Gosh! This is so good!" he said.

"Haha, I am a cook so yep, not a big deal," Roan then chuckled.

It was then, that he removed the bandage and saw that his wounds had already healed. He then put the bloodied bandage on the side of his bed.

"Thank you so much but I have to report to the headquarters. I will write my report for now," he said then stood up.

"Okay, do what you want," Roan then thumb's up.

He then opened his letter case and wrote in the meantime on the table. Inscribing his report on the paper.

Roan left him be and then took a patrol on the surroundings. Making him practice several Necromancer skills he has. Albeit weak, it will still be useful as it will grow along with you or with its constant usage. Other skills were Active skills, others were Basic attack skills, others were Passive growth skills, others were Buff skills, Debuff skills, Movement skills, Ultimate skills, and last, Status skills.

These varieties of skills were all in his skill books. Making him smirk at the moment.

It was then, that he turned back inside the house to check him out again. He arrived at the doorway and entered. He then saw him rolling the letter and putting it inside the case.

"I am done, I must leave immediately. Well, this is goodbye," he said to him.

"I will travel to the Necromancer tribe too so we will be on the same path," Roan said.

It was then, that Kevin felt something bad. His face was expressing great worry.

"Oh no, he is here," he said to Troan. Looking outside the window.

"Why? What is wrong?" Roan asked worriedly.

"The Bloater boss, it was following me ever since I left the base. Now it has followed me here,"

"What?" Roan was alarmed.

Knowing such an enemy sent chills down his spine. It was a strong enemy with a lot of health points. Making the fat monsters a great deal of pain in the ass. It will be a bloody battle.

"Go hide or escape! He was after me not you!" Kevin said.

"But! I can help!"

"No buts! You must not die! Remember your promise to avenge my students. Your skills are many but they are still not noteworthy. They are all beginners. You must live! For my student's sake!" he said while holding his arms.

"Oh, okay," Roan smiled.

It was then, that he left to meet the monster. Roan wanted to leave but he didn't leave but watched him. He approached the bloaters and the bloater boss saw him arriving and showing himself.

A fat monster was seen with its arms of a pointy exoskeletonized crab-like upper pincer. While its lower part has a razor-sharp serrated blade.

"Hey, you! Looking for me?" He bellowed.

"Kill him!" The boss growled in a loud voice.

The bloaters six in number immediately approached him. With their arms as their weapons.

Kevin immediately used his skill [Summon skeleton militia] and [Summon skeleton warrior]. Appearing on the ground were his minions. Ten Skeleton militia appeared with board shields and one-handed weapons and one Skeleton warrior.

"Charge!" Kevin shouted.

The enemies clashed with each summon and the fight was chaotic. The skeletons managed to deal damage but the enemies have high Health. Making it a tough fight for them. Roan was impressed though as his Skeleton warrior was able to kill one immediately. Making the number of his enemies five. The Skeleton Warrior then rotated and slashed furiously like a butcher in a market.

With its great sword that it slashed like only weighs one hand. Slashing like a madman. Their Health points were only a matter of seconds of slashing. Not even a minute has passed!

It was then, that Kevin used [Ground bone spike] and a combo with [Reaping slash] that skewered and slashed the bloater. His skills were having low cooldown as it was honed through the years of training and were indeed spammable. Making him repeat his skills until the enemy died. Having 3 seconds cooldown made its part.

It died at his onslaught of skills and appearing a Health crystal that boasts +20 Health points. Making him break it and it was consumed. Several others were also broken after he grabbed them.

It was then, that only one remained and it was the boss. The Skeleton Militia as well as the Skeleton warrior attacked him and they were hacked by its bladed arms.

Clack! Clack! Clack!

The skeletons were hacked nonstop as well as the hacking too in his chunk of Health.

"You will all die brutal deaths!" the enemy bellowed.

The Skeleton Warrior then slashed him with vertical, horizontal, and diagonals. Making the bloater boss occupied at the enemies on his front. Making Kevin the leisure to spam his skills at a safe distance.

[Reaping slash] and [Ground bone spike] have 3 seconds to cool down and so he easily made successful hits several times already. Making the enemy bellow in anger and frustration.

"I will kill you all!" he shouted.

The Skeleton Militias then was swatted away. The bloater boss was then gushing out with red miasma and its eyes glowed in red.

"Oh no! It was enraged!" Kevin shouted.

The occurrences were very rare but it was indeed troublesome if it happens. Making one monster enrage will be a tough fight. It will be having great leap in prowess and it will become stronger and faster. Health will have considerable leaps too.

It was then, that it charged at him while hacking down the Skeletons on the way. Others were hacked down and immediately killed. Making Kevin alarmed.

He evaded his strikes while rolling to the side then used [Reaping slash] and [Ground bone spike]. Running again after it charged again towards him. Slowly, its health was chipped away and it was wailing. The Skeleton Warrior then ran towards him and attacked its back. Slashing like a butcher, its flesh and fat were slowly flung from his body.

Roar!

It yelled at him and at what it was doing. It was then it crashed to the ground and blood was seeping from its wounds. The Skeleton warrior then stabbed its back with its Great sword and then twisted it.

"Yes! Finally!" Kevin shouted.

It was a gruesome and grueling battle for Kevin. He was panting and can't help but smash his butt on the ground. It was then, that he tapped the dead carcass and then turned around.

"Kevin! At your back!" Roan yelled but it was too late.

A stab was made in his back and the exoskeleton arms went through his chest. He soon vomited blood from his mouth and his summons disappeared.

"Haha! At last! My mission to kill you is a success! Hahaha! Die!" the bloater boss bellowed.

Roan immediately ran and cut off the arms. Stabbing its forehead in the process and it wailed. Roan immediately grabbed his head and put it in his lap.

"Kevin! No! Kevin! Stay with me!"

"Listen to me as I can't last long. I have run out of potions too so it was inevitable. My heart is punctured too so a normal health potion can't help. You have to report that the dark fellowship was on the move to attack the villages and the tribes have to protect them. You have to go to the necromancer's to deliver his report inside a sealed letter case,"

He then grabbed the letter case along with his book, gave it to Roan, and made a seal. Roan then was in tears.

"Now the skill is yours, don't fail me. You promise to avenge them, promise me," he said to him then let out his last breath.

He died on his hands and Roan then became silent. A tear rolled down his cheeks. It was a brief company together but he was indeed a friend.

"No, please don't die!!" he said.

Roan was left with another death, he can't help but have an aching heart at the moment. A friend has died and how much more? He then grabbed his head and then closed his eyes.

It was then he gathered wood and gathered the remaining Health crystal from the fallen boss and it gave him +20 Health points. He put him on a bed of wood. He lighted up the wood and then the fire engulfed him. He burned him in a funeral fire and then went on his way to the necromancer's citadel.

"The enemy was killed but what of it when he was also dead?" Roan can only question himself but was left without an answer.
