Raid (2)

"Team Red is ready, Captain!"

"Team Blue is ready, Captain!"

"Team Yellow is ready, Captain!"

Answered the three different team leaders in unison.

Their roles had been decided from the start of the operation together with the leaders of the Liberation Front.

Those with the highest positions were Natalie as the leader, Anna as her right hand, and Silas as her left, but there was someone else.

That man was currently in the middle of the convoy, who had infiltrated Genesis…

Driving one of their carriers to their doom.

From the control room, Anna and Thirteen continued to observe the holographic scene as it shifted to an aerial view.

They could see six different colors on the screen.

Blue, Red, and Yellow.

Then three different shades of gray are marked with numbers.

These colors represented the teams of five sitting in the cars.

The vehicles were not armored, as the Liberation Front needed help to acquire such resources.

The team leaders started their engines, which roared to life. Inside each vehicle, five Liberation Front soldiers sat ready for action.

"If you want to, we can still recall the bet. Not like you could win it anyway," joked Jin while adjusting the dark gloves on his hands.

"You wish," Silas replied, raising his brows in amusement and letting a small chuckle escape.

"Anyway, what's up with that stupid mask?" Silas asked, pointing at Jin's stag mask.

"You're not calling this cool mask stupid, are you?" Jin questioned in utter disbelief.

"You look like a criminal with that dumb mask."

"Says the terrorist," spat back Jin.

"Fair point."

While the two of them continued to bicker, they were getting ready to jump as they saw the gates finally opening.

Through the gates, the first vehicle popped out.

Despite knowing each other for only a short time, Jin and Silas got along instantly.

Small lightning currents began to appear on various parts of Jin's body.

Most of them trickled around his legs as his calm muscles continued to tense.

He was ready to jump.

The vehicles passed by as Jin and Silas remained on the rooftops.

Far away from the convoy, on the other end of the street, Natalie lay on the ground with a sniper rifle in her hands.

She was preparing to fire while smoking a cigar.

The bullets in her rifle were high-quality armor-piercing rounds, strong enough to penetrate the armored vehicles defending the carriers.

But those very same carriers had armor too thick to be pierced by the bullets.

"Be ready to buy me a beer," said Silas as he leaped from the building, landing perfectly on the middle carrier.

Instead of trying to get into the vehicle, he ran across the car roof, swiftly jumping to another car that was defending the convoy.

Reaching into his pockets, he retrieved a sticky explosive and affixed it to the roof. Silas's movements were fluid and precise as he swiftly leaped to another car after planting the explosive.

The Genesis soldiers were already aware of the attack. Even through the tinted window glass, Jin and Silas could see them communicating with each other.

The convoy accelerated, the cars moving even faster.

The raid finally began.

Jin landed perfectly on the carrier at the very back. Glancing backward, he noticed two more armored cars trailing behind him.

()

The two of them began to speed up, their windws opening as they reached for the carriers side.

From the open windsows, their assault rriffles poked out ready to fire at Jin.

'Fuck, they are good.'

Jin cursed his luck, even the weakest corporation had elit soldiers standing behind them.

They opened fire.

Electirc currents were dancing around Jin's body, granting him speed.

Running with all his might, he leaped in the air to the right side.

Landing on the top of the car that was supposed to defend the convoy.

Jin channeled electiricty in the top of his fingertips, driving it trough the car.

In a single moment, the car shut down.

With another leap, he already landed back at the carrier.

Rain began to pour down from the sky.

'I can't belive that every single time I'M trying to do anything outside, there has to be some god damn rain.'

Cursed Jin, electric currents dancing around his body.

Taking a deep breath, he was climing up the back of the carrier, only to need to lower his body before he could even climb up.

Shots were fiered from the other car.

Trying it's best to take down Jin, or at least stop him from climbing up.

"Nat, do something!"

Shouted Jin while continuing to grab into the edge of the car, afraid of falling of.

The car that was shooting at him slowed down a bit before accalearitg once more.

They were trying to get to the other side of the car and kill jin before he could climb back up.

"Don't worry, the target is clear."

Anwsered back Natalie from his eaprace, taking a deep breath and scoping at the driver of the car, she pulled the trigger.

A loud shot echoed trough the night streets of the tent district.

Her stot instantly have taken the life of the dirver, loosing the control over the high speed moving vehicle.

The man that trid to shoot down Jin tried to reach for the wheel of the car, but another shot rang out the very next moment.

This one could not take his life but it very well have taking his hand.

The car was completely without control and was delivered into a wall, instantly barking down.

An explosion could be heard in the distance as the convoy only coninuued to accalarat eeven further, leaving the burning wrack of a car behind.

Jin could finnaly pull himself up on the back of the carrier.

"Thanks Nat."

Expressed Jin his gratitude while huffing and puffing.

Getting up, he could now see the chaos ensuring before him.

The convoy continued to make its escape.

"Nat, I thought they couldn't go this fast for safety reasons what the hell is going on?!"

Questioned Thirteen from the control room as he saw the aerial view of the ensuing chaos.

"I have no idea… but our time was cut in half."
