I went to Kell, to get the Golem quest, so that I could get the rewards after killing it. after hearing my request Kell got angry and started telling me that if I went solo, it would be a suicide mission, and thinking that I wanted to go to have a soldiers death.
I reassured Kell that I knew how to fight and kill Golems (I don't) and that I had crafted better Gear, which would easily protect me from anything the Golem threw at me(I didn't). after hearing all my reasons Kell finally gave up and handed me the quest.
2 days worth of traveling later, I still could sense the eyes on me from Trents people. They had yet to give up on spying on me, thus I had to formulate a plan, as to how I could gain the Golem's skills without looking suspicious.
As I was nearing the ruins, I had finally come up with the perfect plan. and that's when I spotted the Golem, a 4 metre tall 1.3 metre wide humanoid construct, it wielded a Hammer with long but thin handle and a 3x3 metre wide hammer head.
after half and hour of observation later, the construct had yet to move, it just stood there unmoving, possibly guarding the ruins. its body was made out of similar material as the broken walls and pillars of the ruins.
after that i gave up on observing, as it had yet to do anything. I would gain more information after fighting it. when I was around 15 metres away from the Golem, it turned to me and ran at a slow but steady pace.
seeing its speed, I didn't think about dodging its swing in order to get closer to the main body. yet, when it swung the hammer you could almost see a streak left in its path. the hammer slammed against me fast and I had to use my gauntlets for protection. this was not what the gauntlets were made for. but I had to act, so the spies wouldn't get any wrong ideas.
as I roll through the ground I try to get as much dirt and mud all over me so they could not see that I had sustained zero injuries.
I rise, covered in mud from head to toe, I shake my arms as to relieve the (nonexistent)numbness that the hit caused. The Golem seemed slow on his feet but speedy in his arms.
Observing the mana flow, I don't sense anything strange about the hammer, ii was just a lump of metal with no enchantment, but the Golem's torso was covered in runes that lit up like a Christmas tree.
The Runes were sucking in mana from the area and shooting it out like jet engines, giving its upper body immense speed and mobility.
After that rough landing I steady my breathing and rush in at the Golem using 「Shadow Step」 which makes it harder for others to see me and gives me speed boost.
My fire attacks and magic are out, neither can I use lightning against a stone construct and I cant let the spies see me using space magic. my only option is to use 「Acid Spit」which will let me melt the Golem.
As I get closer I use 「Acid Spit」to try and slow down its movements and possibly destroy the runes on the Golem's torso. with the swing slowed I rush in and strike at the centre of its body. as my fist connects I use 「Void Slice」to get to the insides of the Golem, the claws go through, but so does the Golem's sing. activating 「Obsidian Skin」an Obsidian layer appears above my skin, making me look like a black jade statue. I had yet to use this skill so I had to try it some day.
As the hammer makes contact to my skin, spider web cracks start to appear. I am forced back, leaving skid marks on the ground. I quickly use 「Regeneration(low)」to recover the broken layer of protection, my body starts to glow with a dim green light as the cracks start to reverse and heal.
I get ready to charge in again.
