Episode 7- The Peace Treaty That Ended the War Between the Three Races

In the endless plane, a plane that was above space-time. A plane that is independent of the world. The endless plane was plain white space with nothing in it, nothing could be seen, but the plain white color that stretched forever in the distance, the plane only had two chairs sitting in it.

"....."

The two sat in front of each other with nothing to say to each other. Sara had just broken the news about her foster daughter being the child of the demon king. A hybrid between human and demon. Alice was holding her breath, trying to grasp the things that she had just heard from her foster mother. She didn't want to believe that her father killed her mother, but she realized that common knowledge of love doesn't apply to demons so everything that her foster mother said could be true.

Just the thought of her mother dying in her father's hands was a feeling that hurt her deeply. Alice herself knew that she had to keep that possibility in her mind because her father was from the demon race. A race that is known for being cruel to even their loved ones, while all the demons couldn't be placed in the same category as most demons, but the possibility was higher than fifty percent due to the things everyone knows about demons.

Above all—

"....." Alice was at a loss for words. There was nothing in the world that hurt her more than finding out her own father killed the person he was supposed to love.

The head of the entire school, and the most powerful person in the human world, The Witch of Eternal Creation, Sara Mahinu, was talking to her foster daughter about the death of her mother.

"I know you are shocked but are you not going to ask me how I know about the person that killed your mother."

In appearance, her foster mother didn't look any older than an average twenty-year-old woman. She was a beautiful woman complete with mesmerizing, well-groomed, lustrous hair. It was her first time having a child of her own, but she talked to her as if she was talking to a kid. Her voice was soft and gentle, giving off the sweetest feeling one could ever feel. The beautiful black dress she was wearing showed her curves in the right places. An appearance that would leave most men and women completely captivated by her beauty.

However, even with her young looks, the overwhelming magic that was in her body is what separated her from the rest of the students. Her beauty made her stand out, but even the best mages would be scared to even look at her, even if she walked out of a room in a bikini because of the fear that's engraved in all the hearts of the mages that existed in the world.

….There is no way my father killed my mother! But that can be the truth… After all, inside this cruel world we live in, anything is possible no matter how audacious the crime is

If it's the truth, then… I'm going to have to kill him to stop him from spreading the pain that he is inflicting on me to the other people in the world.

But… will I have the resolve to kill my own father…? No! I won't have to do it alone because I have my mother and Uncle Shito with me.

The unvoiced cries of Alice filled the white space.

Sara looked into the girls' eyes and could immediately tell what her daughter was thinking. The eyes of someone who had resolved themselves to do something dangerous, even if they lost their lives in the process.

Alice tightly grabbed her heart, "Mother, will you allow me to go ahead and put an end to the demon king or the person that you called my 'father'..."

Having seemingly gathered her resolve, the girl was ready to put her life on the line to kill the demon king that spread chaos throughout the world. Her goal was to rid the world of the tyrant known as the demon king.

"Are you prepared to risk your life by fighting the demon king…?"

With a serious-looking expression, the girl stared into her mother's eyes and purged the last little bit of fear that was edged into her heart.

"Yes, I am prepared to give my life to face the demon king. He needs to be stopped at all costs, even if I have to sacrifice my life in the process."

"I'm not going to allow it. Even if you are not my daughter by blood, I'm not going to let go out and kill yourself for some foolish things like slaying the demon king."

"...But…. Moth—...!?"

"However," Sara continued, "I will allow you to go fight the demon king, but you are going to have to train first, and you are going to have to ask your uncle to go with you to fight with the demons. I would go and help you, but the treaty that I signed with the three races, keeps the heads of the treaties from attacking the other worlds themselves."

"What is this treaty that was signed," Alice called out.

"The Treaty of Letrous. A treaty that was agreed upon by the three races after I transported them to the worlds I created. Of course, the demons were against this idea, but I was too strong for them to face so they agreed. The spirits agreed because they wanted peace above anything else."

Alice placed her hand on her face, tilting her head, slightly to the right.

"If that peace treaty was placed then why are the demons still invading the other worlds looking for trouble? Shouldn't they go ahead and worry about the peace we created…"

"You are right about that, but the overall goal of the demons is to spark another massive war so they can finally put an end to the other races that stood in their way."

"Let me ask you a question. If it comes down to a battle between you and the demon king, who is going to win the fight?" she asked, sweating profusely wondering who was going to win between her foster mother or her biological father.

"Well, your father is strong, but he couldn't compare to me because I'm simply stronger, better, and faster."

There was no sign of cockiness in her tone, Sara's voice had no hint of sarcasm. Her voice was calm and collected but filled with confidence.

And in addition, her face had a bright smile. But you could see the confidence behind the bright smile.

"Of course, you are the strongest person in the world, Mother!"

"No, I wouldn't say I'm the strongest in the world."

"Wh-What?" Alice stuttered.

With a carefree expression, Sara turned her head, staring into the distance of the white space, "My brother is probably way stronger than me, and it doesn't help that I don't even know when he is using his full power."

At those words, Alice looked down at her hands, sighing in relief. The shocked look on her face disappeared.

She didn't want anyone who was on the opposing side to be stronger than her foster mother. Sara was the strongest mage on the human side, but if there was someone stronger than her hiding in the depths of the three worlds then it would become a problem for her when she decided to fight.

"Thank goodness, I thought I would have to be fighting someone who is insanely overpowered." Finally, the foster daughter of the strongest mage, Alice, stood up out of her seat.

Sara tapped her wrist, and a mana screen formed, even though they were physically above space-time, the mana screen was connected to the world they just came from. So, the time that was shown was from the world they come from. The mana screen showed the time three in the afternoon.

"Well, isn't it time for us to go home? We have been sitting in this space."

"Before we go, I want to ask you a question… Do you mind waiting around and hearing me out?"

"You can go ahead and ask me any question Mother! I am willing to listen to anything you have to say!" Alice shouted with a nod.

After hearing those words come out of her foster daughter's mouth, she tapped the arm of her chair, sending a shockwave throughout the endless space.

"Will you allow me to take out the demon side of your blood? I can extract the abilities that the demon blood is going to give you, but I'm going to replace the demon blood with my blood."

"....Excuse me?" Alice said with a blank expression, tilting her head in response to her foster mother's sudden question.

Alice couldn't believe someone had the power to genetically change someone's entire bloodline. But knowing that her foster mother was strong she didn't rule out the fact that it was a possibility.

"I have the ability to change your bloodline, but I only want to extract the demon part of your blood." Sara stood straight, keeping her eyes fixed on her foster daughter, she asked, "So with that being said, are you willing to become my daughter by blood?"

"I can become your daughter and still have the blood of my other mother right…?"

"Yes, you would basically be the offspring of me and your previous mother."

"A-Ah, well in that case," Alice cleared her throat, and she looked at her foster mother, smiling brightly.  "I'm willing to take your proposal. Thank you for willing to take me in and make me your daughter."

Snapping her fingers, a bed appeared in the endless plane, but that wasn't the only thing that changed in the plane. The whole plane was altered to her needs, turning into an expensive-looking hotel room.
