7 Chicken?

As the night drew longer, Bohai was brought out of his reverie by a sudden feeling of fear.

"This..."

Bohai got out of bed immediately then ran to the open window in panic as he started looking around erratically.

He was able to pinpoint where the feeling was coming from and fixed his eyes at the headmaster's office.

It wasn't exactly there but a little further back in the forest behind the building.

'Is it that creepy guy from before? No... he's different... This one's stronger...'

After a while the feeling finally went away and it felt as if a huge burden had been lifted off his shoulders.

Bohai was still in a daze as he continued staring into the distance. He was having mixed feelings of inferiority and discomfort.

The night was bound to be a sleepless one for him. Fortunately he had nothing but time right now.

When the sun rose the next morning, Bohai was already out and about walking around the school while everyone else was still sleeping.

With nothing else to do he decided to head inside a pastry shop after seeing some delicious looking pastries.

"Welcome to Moxie's bakery!" A cute girl with brown pigtails welcomed.

Bohai nodded then stared at a specific cake in the corner with glowing eyes.

He gulped as he stared at the smooth, creamy, white frosting intricately designed with beautiful chocolate designs.

On the top, it was adorned with ruby like Raspberry's, and sapphire blueberries, finally it was topped off with emerald kiwi slices as the center pieces.

"Would you like to try our specialty fruit cake?" The girl asked as she noticed how Bohai was fixated on the cake.

Unknowingly, Bohai nodded before approaching the display of the cake as his mouth watered.

When he was about to reach out and grab the cake, a hand stopped him and stood between him and the cake.

"You need to pay first!" The girl exclaimed.

Bohai stopped. Reaching into his pockets, he was down casted as they were void of anything.

"I have no money..." Bohai replied pitifully.

There was a sweet smile on the girl's face as she walked to the door and opened it.

"Get out! I mean, please come back when you have money." The girl said as nicely as she possibly could.

Taking one last look at the cake, Bohai nodded then said to the girl, "I'll be back."

"Sure, sure." The girl replied as she waved him off.

Walking back to the dorms, Bohai headed straight towards Tang San's room.

*Knock, knock, knock!*

Bohai could hear groaning from the inside before the sluggish footsteps headed towards the door.

"Who is it?" Yawned Tang San.

"Sun Bohai!" Bohai replied eagerly.

Tang San opened the door, "Bohai? what are you doing here?"

Before Bohai could answer, another groan came from inside the room before a tired voice asked, "Who is it?"

Oscar looked up but when he saw it was Bohai, he closed his eyes again, "Oh, it's just the potty mouthed kid from yesterday."

Both of them ignored Oscar before Bohai asked Tang San, "are you hungry yet?"

Tang San was confused as he replied, "not really, what time is it?"

"I don't know but the sun just rose..." Bohai replied

"Well, I don't see any point in going back to sleep... I guess I should just have a quick meal."

Bohai's eyes lit up as he quickly grabbed Tang San by the hand and started dragging him along towards the previous bakery.

"Bohai, wait!" Tang San quickly called out. He was surprised by the immense strength Bohai possessed, just in his grip strength alone it was impossible to shake him off.

"Hm? What is it?" Bohai stopped.

"Let me get dressed first, I can't go out looking like this!" Tang San sighed. It would truly be embarrassing if he went out looking like this, he was practically naked.

Bohai was suddenly in a trance, it was indeed true. He forgot for a minute that he was part human now, humans did things different.

To be honest, clothes were very uncomfortable for Bohai, if he could, he would rather strut around naked but fortunatly had learned very quickly that it wasn't an option.

Nodding his head, Bohai let go of Tang San then stood to the side, "I understand, you can go change, I'll wait for you here."

Tang San rubbed his forehead, this friend of his seems to be a little special. He's not exactly stupid or dumb but was highly lacking in common sense.

"I won't be long." Tang San replied as he made his way back to his room and quickly threw on a set of clothes.

He truly didn't take very long as he made his way out with Bohai right after. As they strolled into town together Tang San got quite curious and couldn't help but ask.

"Bohai, your hair... it's very unique, when you fought with instructor Wuji earlier it was very powerful yet it looks so soft, how is that?" Tang San asked curiously.

Bohai was nonchalantly walking next to Tang San as he touched his head, "Really? My hair is very soft though, you want to feel?"

As he said that Bohai suddenly pushed his head towards Tang San. As Bohai's head got closer, Tang San freaked out as he suddenly jumped to the side.

He almost had a heart attack! Previously witnessing the lethality of Bohai's hair before caused him to develope quite the impression of it.

"Hm? Why'd you suddenly jump away? My hair won't hurt you, it's very soft, see?" As Bohai said that he started patting his head.

Seeing that the hair did indeed look very soft, Tang San grew curios then cautiously reached out and gently ran his hand threw Bohai's hair.

Tang San was surprised, it was soft, incredibly soft. This discovery caused Tang San quite some confusion as he continued running his hands through Bohai's hair."

"Strange, when your hair gets hard... is it one of your spirit ring abilities?" Tang San asked.

Bohai shook off Tang San's hold and replied, "no, it just gets hard when I run spirit power through it, see?"

Plucking out a strand of his hair, Bohai ran a strand of spirit power into the hair causing it to immediately perk up and become sharp like a needle.

Taking the strand of hair, Bohai then threw it at a nearby tree. The needle like hair pierced through the tree like butter and didn't stop until it had pierced through seven trees and embedded itself into a boulder.

The incredible piercing power of the hair was amazing, Tang San couldn't help but marvel at how strange Bohai's hair was.

Looking at Bohai's hair, there was a strange gleam in Tang San's eyes. Bohai shivered as he felt like he was suddenly being preyed on and uncomfortably distanced himself from Tang San.

Fortunately, their attention was suddenly caught by a familiar voice, "you fat chicken, how are you a phoenix?!"

"Chicken?" Both Bohai and Tang San looked at each other with confusion.
