After a while of exploring, Lock finally found the exit of the humongous tree. When he went out, he was assaulted by the glaring sun, which made him flinch. He had to take a moment and adjust first.
He has been in the forest for a long time. The trees were big and dense; therefore, the sunlight was way weaker.
When Lock finally adjusted his vision, he was shocked by the sheer size of the tree. It was far bigger than he imagined.
"Now I understand why the sunlight is stronger here," Lock thought.
He estimated that he was probably very high up. He could almost touch the clouds if he climbed a bit higher.
"The problem is, how do I get down?" Lock thought.
Lock stood around for a while before deciding to just climb down. That was until the vines started to form a stairway down.

Meanwhile, in the elven capital.
The Queen finally woke up after a few days and started to rebuild the capital again. Fortunately, her spell prevented extensive damage to her kingdom, which saved a lot of resources.
Still, she couldn't help but wonder: What happened to the dark creature back then? The last thing she remembered was the soothing voice before falling unconscious.
She had some doubts about who the voice belonged to, but sensing the natural energy in her body solved her doubts. The sheer purity of it alone told her what she needed.
Within a few days, the castle was already looking great. Their affinity with nature made this possible, as they could just contract earth spirits.
Then there was another commotion by the front gate.

Lock was just walking around when he stumbled upon the strange creatures once more. He didn't even intend to cross them; he was simply finding his way back. It wasn't his fault that the tree was near their base.
The beings immediately showed hostility, and Lock didn't bother to retaliate. He raised his hand and slowly kneeled on the ground as a sign of surrender.
He was tied up quickly and blindfolded once more.
'Deja vu,' Lock thought.
The journey was faster this time, and Lock secretly noted it in his mind. After treading the forest for a while, they came to a halt. Then he heard a familiar voice.
His blindfold was unfolded, and he saw a familiar face. It was the queen, and she looked at Lock with wariness and fear.
'What the hell happened?' Lock thought.
For the queen to look at Lock with such fearful eyes, something must have surely happened. He also noticed the state of the castle, which made him even more curious.
The beings conversed for a while before appearing to have come to a conclusion. They untied Lock and gestured for him to follow.
Lock raised his guard and followed after. He was curious, but if push comes to shove, he won't hesitate to run away.
They walked in a very elegant corridor. Eventually, they arrived at the throne room. The room had some different designs but looked the same overall.
The queen sat down on her throne and clapped her hands like before. Another dark-clothed individual appeared and listened closely to the queen before disappearing.
Lock only stood there in confusion as he tried to understand what they were saying. Then he sensed a presence beside him.
Lock reflexively took a dash back, which earned him some looks. He decided to ignore them and focus on what was in front of him.
The figure from earlier handed him a device that had runes inscribed on it. He took it and fiddled with it. The being seemed to notice that he didn't know what he was doing and decided to show him what to do.
The device was to be inserted in your ear. Lock was skeptical at first but did it anyway. The moment he did, he felt like it connected to his ear like a puzzle piece.
At first, there were no effects, but after a few more seconds, he heard a static sound before it vanished. Lock was now even more confused.
"Is it working?" Lock is being asked.
"How am I supposed to know that?" Lock answered.
'Wait..' Lock realized.
"What the hell!?" He shouted in shock.
The people in the room covered their ears in surprise. The queen looked at Lock with amusement as she watched the events.
"That is a device created by our mages. It is inscribed with runes that allow you to understand our language. It can also translate yours to ours." She said.
Lock was silent for a while before nodding. With this device, he can finally learn about what happened while he was out. Without a second thought he blurted out.
"What the hell happened?" Lock said.

Lock stood in a daze as he watched the hologram screen in front of him. Multiple things were running through his mind.
What is this technology? Were the "elves" this advanced? Why didn't they take out the goblins then? And is that really me?
These questions rummaged their way into his mind as he watched the demonic creature rampage inside the alternate dimension.
Lock slowly massaged his temple as he tried to digest the information presented to him. First the existence of gods, now him transforming into some demonic creature.
'Is this the emergency protocol the system was talking about? Ugh, these questions are making me sick,' Lock thought in annoyance.
Don't be mistaken, Lock was skeptical about the existence of gods and only thought that they were just powerful beings who just proclaimed themselves as such, but after his meeting with Yggdrasil? That just opened up a whole new concept for him.
'Wait, if Yggdrasil is a god, does that mean she created the elves?' Lock wondered.
"Indeed, I did." A voice suddenly answered.
Lock flinched and immediately looked around as he scanned his surroundings.
"Do not worry. This is only the wisp of consciousness I planted inside your core." The voice was assured.
'Oh,' Lock thought as he breathed a sigh of relief.
Without anyone noticing, Lock entered his soul core and was greeted by a different scene. The whole place was still dark but had two chairs and one table in the middle.
Yggdrasil sat there as she held a book. Lock approached her and waited for her to close it.
"I do not have all day; ask your questions." She suddenly said
Lock didn't waste time and fired off a barrage of questions. The questions were mostly about the gods and the situation of the elves.
"Earning the title of a god is not easy to achieve. You will need enough power and something that signifies your godhood." Yggdrasil said.
"What I mean by that is that each god has a different title. An example would be me. I am considered the god of nature due to the fact that I govern over that element." Yggdrasil added.
Lock absorbed the information quietly as a few thoughts ran through his head.
"Did you create nature?" Lock asked.
"Yes and No. I did create it, but with the help of the universe. The universe aided me in the creation of my element. Therefore it's not mine entirely. The price to pay for creating a concept is that others will have access to it, but this means that I also control who can use it. " She said.
"In a way, we're what you can consider primogenitors."
"Of course, nature manipulation is only accessible to me and not everyone else. Other beings can only use a fraction of it and are extremely limited by their knowledge and power." She followed up.
"But why?" Lock couldn't help but wonder.
"If you create an element or concept, you will acquire the title of a god, but the universe is just. As a prize for attaining that title and aiding you in creating your element, you will be indebted to share your element with others." Yggdrasil said.
"After all, it is our job to create, and sustain the balance of the universe." She added.
"Governing a power and making it exclusive to you will upset that balance and cause conflict." She clarified.
Lock took a while, but eventually understood what it meant.
Seeing Lock's dazed expression, she quietly left the place.
