Temporary team-up

Vodou paused for a moment then walked away. It would be nice to have some friends in this life but after those cops she wasn't ready to trust anyone. The next day she watched the news and she didn't like what she was seeing. The news reported that it was a dangerous animal on the loose trying to abduct people. And there was a city wide manhunt for her.

"How am i all of sudden the enemy. I saved 3 people and now im the city's most wanted. I think I'd better not transform for awhile. Man these is so stressful. Maybe this hold thing was a mistake."

Suddenly vodou blanked out and she was in total darkness.  Then her ancestor that bless her with her gifts appeared. This time she brought all the gifted ancestors before her.

"Listen child i hope your not about to give up. Things haven't even gotten hard yet my child." "But how can i be a great protector when the city im meant to protect turn me into the enemy.  I am wanted more than all the real criminals here." "Listen child they're judgement doesn't matter as long as you know in your heart that your right. This is not the time to hide. This is time to show the world your power and let them hear your roar."

All the ancestors disappeared and Vodou was back in here room. She had her confidence back and she was once again ready to take on this city. That night she headed back out on patrol but before ahe started her patrol ahe went to the tallest building in the city and let out a the loudest roar she could. Suddenly someone came up behind her. It was the ice Phoenix Monica Simms.

"Hey i know you don't know me but i wanted to talk to you. I know your human. Can you understand me while your like this?"

Monica transformed back to human form. "Your pretty brave to come here alone. Weren't you the hiding in the shadows when Fade and Breeze tried to recruit me for your little group? Who are you?"

"So you saw me that night huh? My name is Monica and im not officially with them. Fade helps me with my training i don't know the other guy but we all have something in common. We all for some reason have unique abilities. I just came to see how your doing i seen the news. It can't be easy on you."

"I appreciate it but im ok. The media's judgment doesn't matter because im know im here to do great things. I can't feel it Monica. You say your unique abilities to? How do your powers work?"

Monica shock her head and sat down. "Take a seat ms..... i never got your name." "Hahaha my name is Amani."  "Ok Amani take a sit this is going to be a wild story"

Monica told her about her father stealing jews and how getting her powers lead to his death. Then she explained the twins that are trapped and meant to do battle forever. She also told her about her master Mr. Henry Wells and her battle with redeye. Then Amani explained how she got her powers. They talked for hours getting to know each other then all of sudden

Amani heard sirens in the distance.

"Do you hear that Monica? Something is going down. Let's check it out." "Right Let's go." They both rushed to see what was happening. It was was robbery and this black van was on the run. The passengers were leaning out the window and opened fire.

"Come on Amani let's get these fools." "No wait Monica did you see that? While they were shooting a guy jumped out the van. Look over in the alley." "Wow good eye girl i didn't even see him. He must have something very important in that bag to make him jump out a moving van."

They followed a man down the street where a car was waiting. It was a fancy car that took him to. When they arrived at their destination it was tall man in a suit waiting on him. Amani recognized him immediately.

"Monica that's Ivan Saturn. He's running for  mayor in a few months. What the hell is he doing."  "Am i supposed to know Ivan Saturn is? I don't keep up with the news and stuff like that." "He's a local millionaire that been rumored to be involved in alot illegal activities. Nothing has been ever been proven but everyone knows it's true but it's looks like we've caught him in act."

Chapter 4

"So what's the plan here Amani because i don't think we should just charge in." "Of course just give me a second. That robber still has a gun and there's a crazy looking woman sitting over in the corner." "Wow i didn't see her oh man i gotta get better at observing my surroundings."
