prologue: vodou

Amani king grandparents moved from Africa to feast city when her mother was a baby. When she was young her father told her stories of a great battle that her ancestors fought long ago and she had warrior blood running through her veins. Every since Amani could remember she had dreams of the ancient battle as if she was in there. Amani felt like she would have to go to war someday soshe spent alot of time training in different styles of fighting including wrestling boxing and mixed martial arts. During her junior year here dream changed. Now when she has the dream she was fighting in the battle. She felt that her ancestors where trying to tell her something important so she decided to take her break from school and visit her homeland. Amani's family begged her not to go as if they knew something she didn't witch only made her want to go more. She visited exactly where her family used to live. Suddenly a strange feeling came over here as if someone was watching her. See felt felt like whoever was watching was getting closer and closer so she took off running in the woods. She came across and cave proceeded in. She found a statue of a female warrior. The statue eyes started to glow and the woman came to life. Amani was scared but curious. The warrior explained that she was her great ancestor and how it was Amani's destiny for her to claim the power of the vodou warrior. She explained to Amani that she could only get the power if she defeat her battle and that if every used her power for evil or selfish reasons her power would be taken away. It took her three trys to win the fight and was finally blessed with her vodou powers. Amani's strength speed and intelligence increased extremely and she couldn't believe how powerful she had became. The ancestral warrior also told her about her spirit animal power. She can now transform in an enlarged version of her spirit animal which happen to be a lion. Amani said her farewells to her ancestor then headed back to town. Amani visited a outlet and bought a lioness mask then headed to the airport. It was time for her to take her new found power and protect the people of feast city. She would be become a superhero known as Vodou
