Talon, Skull, and Aqua stand in an alley. "So, from what you told me, it seems like the nine are only horrible monsters because the tiger is in charge." Aqua ponders about the small amount of information Skull told her from the prior night.
"Yes, and that means there's a chance not all of the nine are evil." Talon confirms Aqua's suspicion.
"Still seems a little hard to believe given the ones we have encountered thus far." Skull scans the rooftops incase of an appearance.
"I can't deny, it does seem a little far-fetched, however I feel the snake is different in some way." Talon itches his chin as he strategizes the encounter.
"It's already been two weeks since I first met him. Are you sure he hasn't just fled?" Skull looks away from the roofs and leans against a wall.
"He would've been executed if he even tried. We need to focus our efforts on finding him before the meeting at the capital." Talon leans against the wall opposite to Skull.
"Sir Julius, if I may have a word." A voice catches the group off guard, looking towards the roof at the end of the alley, a man Skull recognises to be the snake is looking down at them. They all swiftly prepare for a fight.
"Who the hell is julius?" Skull grips his sword tightly while wondering how the man snuck up on them.
"I think he's talking to you, that may have been your name before." Talon whispers to Skull.
"Do you not recall your name?" The man looks surprised from this.
"I don't remember much …" Skull impales the ground with his sword and reaches for his helmet. "… from when I was alive." Removing the helmet he reveals his undead nature.
"Well, I suppose that makes more sense than you surviving." he stares at the roof beneath him in a disappointed fashion. "Either way, I hate being a member of the nine. I would like to join you in your mission to destroy them!" He now seems convinced and reinvigorated, even holding a clenched fist to the air.
"And why should we trust you? It sure took you a while to meet back up with me." Skull sets his helmet back on his head, and takes a step forward, unearthing his sword.
"I apologize for my absence, I had to make sure nobody learned of this meeting. As for a reason to trust me, I know someone very important to you and your plans." The man holds his hands up, to show he harbors no ill will.
"And who might that be?" The group lowers their weapons as the tension begins to fade.
"Follow me and I'll bring you to them." The man turns, ready to leave.
"If you try anything or lead us to a trap, I will not hesitate to kill you." Skull's gaze is fixed on the man as he sheaths his sword.
"I'm counting on that." The man doesn't break eye contact as he waits for them to climb the building.
"Given that we're now acquainted, it's about time I formally introduced myself. My name is Chase Ozul, and the user of the snake." The man leads the group along the rooftops as he talks with them.
"Well, you know me as Julius, but as of my reawakening I've been called Skull." He keeps watch on both Chase and the surrounding area.
"I'll keep that in mind. What caused you to reawaken, if I may ask?" Chase looks genuinely invested in the conversation.
"Her." Skull points back towards Aqua.
"Oh, and who might you be?" Chase is impressed with Aqua's skills.
"Uh, my name is Aqua Vi, and I use water and some necromantic magic." She speaks up bashfully.
"Ah, I see now. And what about you good sir?" Chase looks over to Talon.
"My name is Talon Ventus, and user of the rooster." He gives his introduction nervously.
"Huh, Talon …" he takes out a small notebook, bulging with notes and extra pages, from a pocket on the inside of his jacket. "That's right, Talon is the leader of the revolutionists." he flicks the brim of his hat.
"How do you know that?" Talon stops suddenly, his eyes widen as he stares at Chase with disbelief.
"My bad. I forgot to mention you guys have a rat amongst your group. And I'm not talking about herbert." They all stop as Chase gives them a serious look.
