VITALITY [BL]

Yuliang Davos is an omega with a lot on his plate; completing his internship, working part-time, studying for his Healer Certification exam, keeping his twin in check, and suppressing his transformations. He has no time for friends, fun, adventure, or romance. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a choice. _____________________________________________________ [Warnings]: This story covers some heavy topics and includes characters and actions of dubious morality. The chapters are short because my attention span is limited, and I can't write 1k words in one sitting. I don't think it's a big issue, though, since the story will be a really long one either way, just in bite sizes. Unbeta'ed T_T because I have no friends, but the errors should be minimal. _____________________________________________________ It may take a while for the main romance to unravel, but I promise that it will be worth the wait in the end.

It happened when Yuliang was least expecting it.

One moment he was engrossed in his conversation with Linden, talking about memorable moments during their internships. The next, a loud, ear-splitting bang shattered the glass windows, and the platform below their feet crumbled.

They were falling.

Yuliang immediately pulled at Linden's body over himself so that he would take the brunt of the impact as when they slammed to the ground. Understanding Yuliang's line of thought, a red glow surrounded Linden's body as the Enforcer absorbed the impact of the crumbling ceiling and beams that rained on them.

Yuliang clenched his teeth through the pain of broken bones and torn flesh, "You alright?" he rasped out, coughing as he inhaled the dust that had been unsettled. When he didn't hear a reply, Yuliang wondered if he had even said that out loud with how loud his ears were ringing.

Linden was panting and his arms straining as he held up the weight of the ceiling with his body, but as far as Yuliang could see, he hadn't experienced any physical damage.

Linden grunted, adding more strength to pushing up the weight that threatened to kill them."Yes. You're not."

Yuliang tried to shrug, but his shoulders were both currently dislocated, and the small movement only sent more pain racing through his body.

He winced.

"Better me than you. At least we're alive.".
