8 OverWatch Live

Standing in the underground of Starlabs the Xavier group stares at the state of the art lab before looking at Shuri and Cho working on our BoomTube central warp pad.

"Um isn't that a little girl? Why is she playing with a welder?" Asks Kurt. Poor fool. He gets blasted back by a purple energy wave. I may or may not have given Shuri the idea a bit earlier than normal. "Nevermind, i take back my question."

Ignoring the cringing Kurt i give the group an introduction. "Welcome to the WatchTower. From here we'll be able to monitor the globe for any unknown events. Meet Shuri 10 year old child genius and Cho 16 year old genius. My other scientist Gwen Stacy is currently out right now but they should be back anytime now."

I go around giving them a run down of living quarters, kitchen, bathrooms, pool, gym, library and our danger room. We end the tour in the aviary where they see one big jet with the OverWatch symbol on it and a few personal two person jets.

Wrapping up the tour i hear the warp gate power up. Shuri and Cho gets excited as the first warp starts up.

'RECOGNIZED OW-02 DOMINO, OW-03 X-23, OW- 04 BLACK WIDOW, OW- 06 GHOST SPIDER, OW-07 MAGMA, OW-08 QUAKE.'

The girls come out of the warp gate excitedly with the Xavier group looking interested in the warp tech.

"Oooooh will we also get cool codenames and teleporting rights?" Kitty beamed with excitement.

"Well it seems we missed the Party but we brought back a gift." Natasha teased to the bound and gagged purple man being dragged by Laura.

"Who's the poor dude?" asks Scott.

Gwen took off her mask and she was the one to answer "Meta. Codenamed Killgrave, He can control people using his voice. Uses his powers to rape women and make them believe they wanted it. If he comes across other Metas he has them do his dirty work before Offing themselves."

Everyone looks at him with pure Malice and the looks of Ororo sparking lightning kind of scared me. Yea ill live but itll still hurt.

Making sure that Killgrave was secured in our cells i do some introductions,"Domino, Laura, Nat, Amara, Gwen meet the new OverWatch recruits. Cyclops, Phoenix, Nightcrawler, ShadowCat, Rogue, Wolverine and Storm."

The team greets each other while Selene finally made herself known with Tandy and Ty in tow. She really made those two her disciples. Or more like servants?

"Alright guys welcome to OverWatch the satellites are in place and i believe that practice makes perfect. Cho turn the systems on, Lets make the tower Live."

We all stand around a big holo table with a floating OW logo in the middle. The logo transforms into a giant globe with several different coloured dots blinking on it.

"What are the colors representing. "

Cho spoke up "Green represents freshly awakened Meta Human. Red Represents A Meta related crime in progress. Blue is a natural disaster, Black in an unnatural disaster. Grey means something Unknown."

I take a look at the map and start splitting roles "Cho, Shuri you guys are command Codenamed WatchTower. Get the gate open to move we're deploying now. Storm, Widow you guys are on Green 1. Domino, Anna, Scott you guys are green two. Amara, Phoenix Red 1, Wolverine Red 2 if you need back up call the tower. Daisy, Kurt and Kitty you guys are Blue 1. Tandy, Ty, Gwen you guys ard Blue 2. Selene you stay on Tower ready to support where youre needed. Im taking Black 1. OverWatch this may be our first outing but i want you all to stay focused accomplish your goals then call Tower to bring you back. If youre exhausted call it a day. If not have Tower send you where you need to be. NOW MOVE OUT."

The groups get together and give a quick summary of their powers and specialties as i suit up. A black suit with red lowercase i symbol with the dot making up apart of my mask.

I step into the Warp gate as i feel the air around me shimmer. "Recognized OW-01 Invincible."

Meanwhile in another part of the city.

"SUE SHUT IT OFF" Reed screamed in his intercom. Everything was going so well until just now. They had successfully figured out how to travel between dimensions when the government decided to send Astronauts instead of them. The boys were pissed so they decided to use it first. But then an accident happened. Victor touched something and got engulfed in green unknown liquid before falling into a river of the stuff. Ben was buried under some rocks and Johnny was screaming as his body caught flame. Reed was the most "normal" one as his hand stretched forward to reach help. Yet his arm didnt stop stretching.

Sue was in the lab desperately trying to close the wormhole when a wave of energy came flying out hitting her in the chest causing her to fly back.

She struggled to get up and try to shut off the machine. But she realized that she couldnt find her arm. She screamed in fear not seeing her arm where it was supposed to be. znot registering that she could still feel.

She was sad, she only wanted to get the grant necessary to save her dad's company. When Johnny signed the deal to finish this project when she was working on the deal with StarLabs she was livid. But now she's given up. The experiment went horribly wrong. Reed and Doom just had to be the first ones to go to some unknown space.

The machine is starting to beep loudly and spit smoke, The pile of rocks started moving and Johnny passed out from shock. Reed was conscious but in no control over his elongated limbs.

When all was lost thats when he came in. Flying through the roof he came in looked at the control unit and typed something in at incredible speeds. The machine powers down and he ran over to Sue.

"Thank You...." she choked out before fainting from all the excitement.

Invincible looks at the wreckage and states in his comms "WatchTower i need emergency medical attention for four. Have Selene bring us in."

Not even a second later the five people are covered in a reddish light and whisked away leaving the smoking remains behind.
