Villains Die At Eighteen

I've read a lot of novels in my life but out of all of them, Hellscape was my favorite. The world itself had an engaging framework. All villains are stronger than heroes. However, inevitably, they will all die before or precisely at their eighteenth birthday. Because of this balance, the whole world was in a standstill age of war and violence, thus justifying the book's title. Why, out of all the damn books I read, did I end up here?

Vitality Potion

"Achoo!"

I wiped my snot and covered my whole body with a thick blanket. It was almost midnight. Riu would come soon.

"Brother?"

Speaking of the devil, the balcony door opened and Riu entered, wearing nothing but his cute pajamas and a black eye mask.

"Brother, what made you sick like this?! Did you get poisoned?!"

"N-No, I... achoo!"

"Brother! Wait here, I'll call a doctor!"

"Riu, stop. It's just a cold."

I wanted to slap my forehead. After taking a bath, I planned to laze around on the balcony but that was a terrible idea.

'It's summer and the breeze is supposed to be warm. Why did I get sick?'

Atlas had a body that can do the impossible, I'll give him that.

"Brother, are you sure you're fine?"

"Yes, anyway... achoo!"

I reached for the paper on the desk. I've been scribbling pieces of stuff there since earlier. It was a map of the town located beneath our territory.

"See this?"

I pointed at a certain herbal shop in the map and handed him another set of paper consisting of ingredients together with a method of preparing a certain potion.

"Tell the herbalist to make the potion and pay him accordingly. Make sure that the amount is enough to last for a week. Also, tell him you'll visit three more times after that, okay?"

"...Sure, but are you really fine, Brother? Should I call a doctor?"

"Don't worry, Riu. I'm fine."

I patted his head and smiled weakly. I was planning to go with him but I really can't handle it. I feel kind of bad for making him do all the work.

"Once the potion is here, you don't have to call the doctor all the time."

"R-Really?"

"Yes."

"I'll be back!"

Riu left faster than lightning.

My room was located on the third floor but he ran towards the balcony and jumped like the height didn't exist. Truly, he's a child gifted with monster-like abilities.

'Compared to that energy and body, Atlas...'

I sighed and remembered the contents of the notes.

< Vitality potion. >

In the novel, there was a good guy who had a weak daughter. He managed to make a potion to aid her health but the recipe was stolen by one of the villain families. He died while trying to protect the finished product.

His daughter, who managed to acquire the potion, overcame her body's condition and became one of the main characters in the hero's party.

I need to drink it every night for a month, then I'll have a normal body like any average child. I would have loved it if the potion makes people stronger. However, its specific effect was to turn the 'weakly abnormal' condition to a 'normal' condition.

"Achoo!"

Closing my eyes, I went to sleep.
