With a sword on the throat of the head priest, he asked for the numen of the fallen god. Lumi, who wanted to escape her predestined fate as the catalyst for power, offered a deal to the one who killed more than half of the temple's clerics—the man named Siegren. In exchange for his assistance in her journey to reunite with her parents, she would guide him to find the twelve lost pieces of the fallen god's power. Aeterna: Classes

Beyond the hierarchical tier:

Supreme God – the Empyrean Goddess

Gods/Guardians – the ones granted power by the goddess. Those who have 'numen' containing their essence. These are the gods which harbored light and darkness.

Deities - numerous lower tier gods who were believed to originate from the aftermath of the fallen war. They are scattered across the world granting wishes while being worshipped.

**First-tier, topmost: The imperial family (King, Queen, Prince, Princesses); Duke**

**Second-tier: Sorcerers – the ones who can utilize their mana to command elemental prowess**

---Archmage – the highest class of sorcerer. They live in the Celestial Tower, overseeing the kingdom.

-----Supreme Mage – selected few who graduated on top of the academy, and are the top candidates who can succeed after the current Archmage passes away and/or loses his or her position.

------Mages/Sorcerers – they did not go to the academy/DID also go to the academy, or they have informal training/self-taught. They are usually the ones who join guilds and wander for an adventure, as well as those who are in the celestial tower to follow the archmage. The technical terms will not be discussed here.

---------Witches – 'hags' who are deep into the forest and brew potions ranging from harmless to catastrophic. There are only a few of them since their race is going extinct. There can only be female witches since a witch's innate power can only be passed to female progenies.

**Third tier: Common People**

---Nobility - Marquis, Count, Viscount, Baron

**Special classes** - those who deviate from the normal hierarchy.

Warlocks - demonic beings who can use magic. Aided the fallen god in the rebellion, and thus many of their kinds were lost in the process. They have a long lifespan ranging from ~500 years. There are only a few of them now, and they are in seclusion.

Necromancers – sorcerers who have practiced the dark arts and forbidden magic.

Alchemists – they are the common people who cannot utilize mana in their body but are still determined to use magic by using 'artificial mana' or 'maori'.

*Praeditus - people born with the power to manipulate mana.
