"My lady, would you want to go out with me?" he asked.
Adela pursed her lips when she heard it. As Richard continued to receive no response from her, he said, "I believe Miss Adela doesn't enjoy my presence. Shall I go by myself?"
Adela averted her gaze and reached out to take his hand. "How can I refuse such a tempting invitation?" she replied as she clutched his hand.
Richard responded to Adela's smile with a smile of his own. She got to her feet, and Richard led her in that direction as they approached the castle.
They were walking together while holding hands. Richard stepped foot into a building that had been neglected, with no one attempting to repair it. There was still something about the castle that could draw people in. Richard said as he gently drew her into the hallway.
"Come inside, Adela. The castle appears to be abandoned, as few visitors use it."
