James didn't even flinch when he saw Adela, his gaze was firmly locked on her. He appeared to not have been expecting Adela to come, and the meaning of their positions left him so astonished that he was at a loss for words.
Adela seemed quite perplexed when she observed James was silent. "Your royal highness," she said with narrowed eyes. Despite her attempts to stand up, Richard clung to her hand and would not let go.
Adela turned her head back to Richard before eventually focusing on James. James's grip and mouth both became more clenched. He turned his attention away from Adela and remarked, "How is he doing now? He seems to have regained his senses."
"Well, yeah, your royal highness." Adela smiled as she spoke.
"So it's excellent that he got his senses back," James muttered as he moved toward the bed.
"So, is he able to join the mission now?"
"Of course, he can, Your Royal Highness."
