Blood ritual
Adela's bird was just in front of Max. Max was reading a scroll that Adela had forwarded to him. She wrote about everything that happened in her castle, but she used procedures to aggravate Camilla's wrist injury.
Max wondered why a wound on Camilla's wrist suddenly emerged, although there was none when she was here. After reading the scroll, it set itself on fire. Max gazed at the bird, which seemed to wait for a response. Max sat down to write a reply to Adela. Max wanted to let her know that tomorrow was going to be an important day for them so she could mentally prepare.
It was also shocking to him he was assisting a student with the mission, which was clearly against the regulations. Yet he knew that Camilla was the reason he was acting in this way. He wanted to lend a hand to Camilla a little since he was aware of how keen she was on keeping her father proud. If Camilla were chosen for the mission, they would benefit from having a great healer on the battlefield.
