Villainess 101: The President's wife is a vengeful devil

"Handsome, we must have met before. Was it in my bed... or was it in yours?" Shera Black asked, sitting on a snake-print sofa. She had her chin rested in her right hand as her left hand twirled a wineglass leisurely. Leo Qin who was standing before her narrowed his gaze. "Are all women so unrestrained these days?" "I don't know about other women." The woman's lips curled into a sinister smirk. "But, you may want to step aside. You are standing on a booby trap." Leo Qin was speechless. This woman stole his heart, and now she set a trap for him? Preposterous! ___ ... Falling from the grace of an aristocratic family, Shera Black's view of the world crumbled along with her state of mind. How does it feel to lose everything overnight? Heiress-turned-beggar? Unimaginable! The world was cruel... but it was much more cruel to her. Why?! Just because of some measly facts that were beyond her control and sins she didn't commit? And just when everyone thought she was done for... when they all thought she was on the brink of insanity or suicide, Shera Black unexpectedly rose right back up. Shera Black: Hello world, I'm back! Miss me already? World: Wait. Something's not right. She has become a villainess?! And this villainess was clearly not here to make friends. She was back to wreck harvoc and destroy the world! Not only that,.... She was pretty much done wrecking harvoc. Guess what's next? ... As the heir to the Qin Empire, everything was under his grasp. Yet Leo Qin would never have thought that the only thing he didn't predict was the calamity he had poked... and this calamity was coming his way. Looking at the female 'calamity' before him, he gritted his teeth and hissed. "Woman, you are playing with fire!" The calamity crossed her legs and glanced right back at him. "I am fire. How can I play with myself, Mr. Qin?" He looked at her crossed legs and frowned in disapproval. "Women shouldn't cross their legs." The woman leisurely tapped the armrest. "Oh? Are our legs too short to be crossed?" "It's disrespectful!" "Respect?" She looked at him curiously. "What's that?" Annoyed now, Leo Qin said, "If you continue being like this, no one will want to marry you!" But the woman just smiled evilly. "Who said I want to get married? Pfft, seriously, who still does that?" Leo Qin was speechless. God, can we have a chat? I don't want this woman anymore!!! Brace yourselves: Vicious Female lead. Hallucination disorder

Livian cringed even without realizing it. "Who are you calling kiddo?" He was at least two years older than her!

It was only after saying that he realized it. When did he save her life? His eyebrows knitted. If Shera was ever in trouble or her life was in danger, he would be too busy gloating to even think of saving her. If anything, he would be excited if he saw her die. Why would she think that he saved her life?

"Not only are you a psycho, but you also have severe hallucination disorder as well. Why would you think I saved your life?"

Shera laughed for a brief second. "Do you have selective amnesia or are you kind enough to forget such a huge incident?"

Livian couldn't believe he was about to ask her this but he did anyway. "I really saved you? From what, and why would I?"

"Because you just happened to find me," Shera said like it meant nothing. "You saved me, but I saved you too, and from the flames at that." She enunciated every word with clarity. "So there's nothing to stop me from killing you if I wanted to."

Livian was now convinced that she was hallucinating. When did he ever need to be saved, especially by a woman like her? Did a venomous snake like her even have the heart to save anyone? "When did you…"

Shera shrugged when he suddenly stopped speaking. "You remember now, don't you? Your time is over. You may leave."

Livian was angry that she dared to send away but he still walked out. His mind was too occupied for him to bicker with her. He had been saved from a fire once, but that was when he was just a child. He remembered it because it was also because of that incident that he and Leo were no longer in good terms.

___

Seventeen years ago

All Livian remembered was being trapped behind a closed door while thick smoke clouded his vision. The room was getting hotter by the second as the angry flames of fire drew nearer, trapping him.

After that, he woke up to the cold feeling of ice-cold water being splashed on his face and his brother's anxious voice.

"Livian?" Leo tapped his face anxiously.

"Where have you been?" Livian croaked with difficulty, his throat sore. "I almost died looking for you."

Leo looked relieved before starting a round of scolding. "Why would you enter a burning building? Are you crazy? If Lola didn't check that room, you would have died in there."

Livian huffed and stood up, angrily huffing as he rubbed on his dry skin. "I went in there thinking you were trapped in the fire and that's all you have to say to me?"

___

The present.

Livian's lips twitched slightly. If he remembered correctly, that was the last time he spoke to Leo without finding something to fight over. It was as though that incident had set off a bomb between them. Even so, he had gone to look for Leo's little friend, Lola, so he could thank her for saving his life. Even so, he didn't find her no matter how he searched so he left her a thank you note in the abandoned building where he knew she and Leo liked playing.

When he checked the next day, he found it gone and replaced with a note with nothing but a smiley, so he knew that she had received it. After that, he never bothered to check on her. After all, she was Leo's friend and he no longer wanted anything to do with Leo and anything or anyone related to him.

Now, he wondered what Shera meant by saving him from the flames. If Shera saved him back then, then what about Lola?

Hold on… was Shera implying that she was Lola?

"She's got Leo influenced and they seem kinda close… Could she really be that Lola?" he wondered aloud. "But Lola was Leo's friend. If she is her then… what does she have against our family?"

A thought suddenly crossed his mind. That woman seemed to magically know things that only the Qins should know. Could it be that she had investigated him, found out about that incident and was using it to try and trick him?

Meanwhile, Shera continued rolling her black-colored pen leisurely.

"Let them roll about in confusion. Like brainless dogs chasing their own tails. After all that's what they areーbrainless dogs."
