Delusional
Shera scrutinized the man before her like he was a clown. "What exactly do you mean by 'what we were in Nice'?"
He froze in disbelief. "You… all that time we spent together, and you warmed up to me… it meant nothing to you?"
She laughed when she heard his question. "Was it supposed to mean something?" She laughed when she came to a realization. "Don't tell me you are so delusional to think that I was starting to develop feelings for you? You do know that's harder than flying to the sun, right?"
Leo clenched his fists to suppress his disappointment. Damn it.
There was nothing new about this situation. She had already said it herself. She consistently told him to move on and forget about the past. But as soon as she smiled at him once and rested her head on his shoulder, all his rationality vanished into thin air.
