Still bestowed the ability of an author!

"Are those people new to this city? They dare challenge Xiu Ying," a man whispered to his friend.

"Let's see what happens," his friend replied.

"Shut up and get lost!" Xiu Ying hissed, her phoenix-shaped eyes narrowing to the extent that only her golden pupils could be seen.

She had been in a bad mood since Li Chen's appearance and this was because she forfeited going to the Inferno Havens sect to gain the treasures and heritage of an immortal Primal.

However, she got a useless slave instead.

"You…!"

The man who sat in the middle of the group couldn't complete his words when a flame sprouted from her palm.

At that moment, time paused, and Li Chen, who stood two meters away, tilted his head when he saw four men with their mouths open. One was about to stand while the other left his chopsticks. It froze in mid-air.

Xiu Ying and others at their tables also froze. [What's going on?]

Suddenly, a golden line appeared mid air and more lines appeared until an object similar to a tablet appeared but this one emitted an etheral light.

An object flickered and solidified in his right hand. Lifting his hand, he gazed at the ink pen, and his confusion dispersed.

'So I still have the power to create scenes! Great, I'm drawing myself out of here!' He beamed. However, Li Chen received a heavy backlash, which sent him crashing against the wall.

Groaning, he got up, walked to the hovering monitor and exhaled.

Decide the progression.

Reward for good plot progression: 1 divine point.

After reading it, the words vanished. Turning his head, Li Chen gazed at a slim man garbed in a brown robe and an apron at the entrance of the second floor.

'He should be Ma Dong. Perhaps a server called him. Hmm, should Xiu Ying kill these mobs or should Ma Dong stop them?'

Rubbing his metallic chin, he fixed his gaze on Xiu Ying's gorgeous body and his mind ran wild. Before he knew it, he was already sketching, and this time his skill was beyond what any cartoonist could ever achieve.

Within a minute, he was done. Once his desire vanished, he suddenly realized what he had drawn, but it was too late to change it.

He tired of erasing it but the monitor refused to accept any changes and swiftly vanished.

'Shit!' With wide eyes, Li Chen watched time resume. Sensing the incoming attack from four men whose fist was coated with fire, Xiu Ying somersaulted backward, fire blasted off the soles of her shoes and two men found themselves hurtling through the wooden walls.

Tilting her head, she easily evaded a punch and with a graceful movement technique, she flickered to the back of the second man.

'Fire palm!'

Flames in the shape of her palm shot from her outstretched palm, scorching the backs of both men.

As they screamed, Xiu Ying wanted to follow up with another ruthless attack, but the Hanfu belt around her waist came loose!

Her outer garment opened, revealing her inner white garment but before people could enjoy the sight, Li Chen covered her with his coat.

His eyes met with her trembling ones. This was the first time he had seen a different part of her, a part he never thought about when he created her.

A fragile Xiu Ying.

Tears brimmed in her eyes and she reached out for her sword.

SHING—!

She pushed him away, swiftly beheaded both men and blasted flames that scorched the other two.

Li Chen's eyes widened as four people just died because of something he did. They weren't the cause of her Hanfu belt loosening, but he wasn't going to tell Xiu Ying that.

Li Chen loved his head intact with his body.

"We're leaving," she said and she left. Her foot left burn marks on the wooden floorboards.

People barely had time to be curious about the masked man behind Xiu Ying because they were overwhelmed by the fact that she had just killed four people.

Arriving before the carriage, Li Chen watched her slam the door shut. After contemplating if he should ask for his coat, he discarded the thought.

"Something happened, huh?" Tiger Yi asked.

"She killed four people," Li Chen responded heavily yet Tiger Yi chuckled.

"Don't worry, you'll eventually get used to it." He patted Li Chen's shoulder and turned his attention to the road.

Several minutes later, they left the bustling part of the city on a forest path that led up to the mountain.

Li Chen gazed at the otherworldly ambiance of the manor situated at the top of the mountain. There were canopy trees with purple leaves adorning the dark theme of the manor.

Around it was a clear stream that led to a waterfall. The manor was simply breathtaking.

After crossing a bridge, the carriage rode into the manor's courtyard, where maids, servants, gardeners, and guards lined up.

Xiu Ying came down and walked past them, her porcelain face gloomy.

"Come." Tiger Yi led Li Chen to a circular stone platform and pointed at a weapon rack.

"Select your weapon and rest. Training starts at dusk."

"Mm," Li Chen nodded. He had accepted his fate so instead of living in disapproval, he aimed to gain strength and control his life.

His instinct told him that once his divine point reached 10, he would be able to alter and twist thicker plots to his liking.

However, making Xiu Ying's hanfu belt loosen, to satiate his desire was worthless to the plot, so he gained nothing.

He approached the weapon rack, his eyes scanning the variety of weapons and pausing at the section of swords.

'Mastering a weapon is useless without star energy. So I need to cultivate. Those cultivation manuals were just names; I only went deep with that manual…!' Li Chen's eyes widened.

The manual he thought about was the Sacred Moon and Star manual. A 10-star- sky-grade manual that he planned for the protagonist to discover far into the future.

Only by cultivating will a cultivator discover their elemental attunement.

Assuming a lotus posture, he closed his eyes and regulated his breathing. The next moment, he found himself in space.

Countless stars lit up the boundless space and he saw thirty flaming stars lit up around a phoenix.

'Xiu Ying is at the peak of immortal human level. She'll soon become an immortal Daoist! How could I forget that?! Oh, yeah. I planned for her to die before then.'

Ignoring Xiu Ying's constellation, he focused on communicating with a star, which would be the start of his journey as a cultivator but for some reason, no elemental stars came forward.

'I can't be trash, right? How can an author be trash in his own world?!'
