He had hoped to surprise him with the revelation, but the young genius looked unaffected. 

For Quill, the only drawback with this info leaking was that those aiming to kill him would know he lacked Rune Overload, making them bolder. 

But he wasn't concerned because he still had plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

If anyone thought they could eliminate him just because he lacked a rune, they would end digging their own graves. 

"So, tell me what you've learned about the rune," Quill redirected the conversation.

Jones took a deep breath and began to explain. "The map I have is really old, showing a civilization in the Eastern part of the planet, located in a tall, mountain long before the Demons took over. "
