The Search for the Perfect Recruit: Unraveling the Talents and Secrets of Villains

I used the sort function, and immediately, the screen changed and showed me the list of villains according to their talent. Now, even though the first one was definitely the most talented one, I was 100% sure that I wasn't recruiting him.

'Oswald Wright, 24 years old, became a villain 2 years ago, and has been left by 24 handlers so far because of his aggression, threats, as well as the fact he can't control himself and will often start slaughtering people and has barely escaped alive 6 times in the past when powerful heroes arrived.'

'His talent is off the charts if left by himself, he can actually become an SSS-grade villain in the future, but his intelligence is low, his speed is below average, while his strength is something else.'

'Power: Dominating Tyrant, a power that gives incredible physical powers to a person as long as they continue acting in a dominating fashion, the end goal for such people is to be a tyrant that dominates everybody, and in a world where the existence of two god-like beings is present, I doubt he will achieve his goal, not to mention that I doubt he will live much longer thanks to his craziness.'

I sighed as I did feel some slight regret, after all, he truly had incredible talent, but he was simply too big of a wild card, a person that cannot be reasoned with or controlled by any means, he is simply not fit to be in the agency, and the only reason he is still in it is that he caught the eye of a higher-up.

Still, if he continues acting like he is, he will definitely be let go from the agency, I wonder whether he will be let go before being killed by a hero.

In the agency's history, there were many incredibly talented villains that had reached high ranks in a short period of time, but most of them died because they overestimated themselves, and I didn't like working with such villains, unfortunately, I am stuck with one of them, Nacht.

I tried to check the talent and other stats of Nacht, but the system didn't allow it, all villains that I handle cannot be checked as the system was only lending me this function for this particular quest, nothing else.

'Alright, that's at least something, just like the transfer skill that I will gain later.'

The second person on the list, while not as bad as Oswald, was still not really a good choice for me, so I moved on from him as well. The top 6 people on the list all had enough talent to reach the SSS grade by themselves, but honestly, I was looking for someone that at the very least, could reach the S grade.

After all, the agency will help out villains, so even with little talent, one can become incredibly powerful later on. Taking in villains that were not smart, were too much of a wild card and so on was simply way too risky.

And just like that, after spending about an hour, I had already picked 5 candidates and was thinking of stopping and calling them one by one as 3 were free agents before stopping at the one person I realized might be the very best person to take in.

Ability: Ice Age ( An ability that allows the person to utilize ice in any shape or form. The ability falls into the 'creation' specter as it allows the person to create ice out of nothing. When near water or when in cold areas, the person will have their powers boosted, in dry and hot areas, it will be lessened. )

Strength: Middle of C-grade

Speed: Middle of C-grade

Intelligence: This girl might manage to rule the entire world by her intellect alone.

Talent: The person can reach the S-grade without any outside help.

That was a neat little thing that I managed to find out after accidentally clicking on the talent of one villain, I can actually expand the intelligence, ability, and talent stat and find out more about them.

She possesses a high IQ and is incredibly versatile, able to concoct potions that help her during battle, allow her ability to be boosted, help with speeding up the rate at which her ability improves, and possesses enough knowledge to not only utilize any manual correctly but also has the knowledge to create concoctions that will help improve her ability. ]

[The person can reach the S-grade without any outside help, but thanks to her knowledge, she might manage to reach the peak by herself. ]

[ The ability Ice Age is an incredibly powerful ability that at its very peak can allow the person to freeze an entire planet, forcing it to undergo the 'Ice Age' ]

'This girl is a cheat, this damned system, without expanding the stats, I wouldn't have found out that even with her talent allowing her to reach the S-grade, she can reach even higher, the peak probably means G-grade, and holy hell, at its peak, the ability will allow her to freeze an entire planet, how overpowered even is that?!'

I calmed myself down while cursing the system for trying to cheat me once again, how the hell is that madman Oswald higher ranked than this girl?!

I even went back and checked out his stats, expanding the three, only to find out little from it, his intelligence, for example, is even worse than I thought, and his ability, even though incredibly powerful and will allow him to break mountains with a single punch at its peak, is nothing compared to freezing an entire planet!

His talent was great, that much was certain, but compared to this girl, a person of great intelligence that is certain to not take as many risks as most, he is nothing special.

I quickly went to check out more about her.

She was a free agent, one that had been invited by some handlers in the past, but she declined politely, leaving a good impression which led to even more handlers calling her in order to invite her to the agency, which in the end led her to change her number and never speaking to us again.

Thankfully, my system gave me that information as well.

Hmmm, should I call her right now?

No, let me try getting some more information first, if I can find out more about her, and what kind of person she is, I will have a higher chance of getting her to accept the invitation to join us.

Even if she doesn't stay with me, the benefits I will get from getting such a person to join us will be incredible in the future. I just need to form a good strategy before calling her, I need to find out more about her, her dreams and hopes, her fears, all of that.

'Hey system, you can help me with that at least, right?'

[ The system has no idea what the host means. ]

'Stop lying, you know exactly what I mean, come on, you can give me some more info about her, you have to be able to do at least that much, after all, for somebody that boasts that their goal is to make me the best handler in the universe, it would be quite pitiful if you couldn't give me more information about a single villain at the very least.'

[ The system knows the host is trying to manipulate it, the system will not fall for such low-level provocation, the host should work a bit harder to find the information. ]

'Ah, so you can't do it, too bad, and here I was thinking that you aren't that useless after all.'

[ I will not fall for such provocation. ]

And yet she already raised her voice.

'Ah, I see, there's nothing you can do about it after all, you're simply not good enough, a pity, truly a pity.'

'Hey, what about any other systems, can you call the scientists that created you, maybe they will upgrade me to one that can actually help me out, you know.'

Silence, she wasn't speaking.

'I see, so you can't even do that much, figures, they probably already lost all hope for you so they won't even return your calls.'

I suddenly gained ten pages on the tablet, all ten about Isabella.
