Terrorist(3)

Virus bombs explode in the major corners of Japan, in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kawasaki, killing thousands in a mere half an hour.

The personnel in the control room of the Hero Association of Japan oversee the situation. Rows of computers line up the room, each row slowly raising taller than the ones at the front. In the final row at the tallest platform at the back sits the supervisor of the group, a middle-aged man in a black suit. Some of his hair strands are visibly white and wrinkles form on his forehead.

Chaos ensues as the team is barraged with reports of terrorism.

"Sir Kaji Hisoka, Team 7K had caught one of the terrorists." Says a man with a headphone.

The supervisor, Hisoka, nods. "Pass down the order, prevent the captive from suicide and bring him back to the Association." He says.

The subordinate returns the nod and bows before leaving.

The teams they are referring to are groups of trained normal humans that have the technology and capability to at least neutralize a D-Tier enlightened villain.

They are commonly referred to as the "Enhuman Taskforce" by civilians and government authorities.

The Enhuman Taskforce serves the Hero Association and they usually take action to support a superhero or take care of minor threats related to villains.

Hisoka clicks his tongue in annoyance. "Where is the Water Saintess?" He asks.

"Sorry, we haven't received any report of contact."

"Damn it...where the hell is she." He sighs. "Change of plans, the operation in Tokyo will be handled by Miss Freedom. Contact her."

"Understood!"

======================================================================

In Tokyo, a woman with blonde and short hair wearing a sailor uniform and a huge black bow tie hair clip on the back of her head smiles. It's Jessica, the woman that took Ayato's tray at the hospital.

"Understood," She says into her phone and glance at Mika, who is wearing a similar outfit as her.

"Let's go," says Mika. Jessica nods. Both are on the roof of a tall tower. glancing down, massive vans of ambulances and black modified vehicles rush around the streets. Many civilians had abandoned their cars and evacuated, leaving only a messy apocalypse of chaos.

The black vans drift around and avoid colliding with the obstacles on the road to speed up into a scene. They stop before an area where a pile of green dust can still be flying around, it is spreading.

They are the Enhuman Taskforce. The task force pulls out a hose-like device from the vehicles and set them up around the parameter.

Mika and Jessica stand side by side and throw one foot forward at the edge of the roof. Suddenly, the world rapidly "flies" up in their perspective. Mika snaps and something glows at her legs as well as Jessica's and they both are ejected up into the air like a parachute from the sudden increase in air resistance.

Their momentum comes to a stop in mid-air and mysterious energy throws both women in the direction of the scene.

Jessica arrives at the scene first, a barrier has already been set up to detect any remaining survivors inside the dead zone. "Good work," Jessica says and the task force members bow at her.

"Thank you for coming, I am Kota," The leader of the team says. Jessica nods and proceeds with her duties. She waves her hand apart and a massive square translucent box covers the area preventing the virus from spreading any further.

Suddenly, the device starts to beep when it pinpoints a certain location in Tokyo. "There are still survivors!" Kota exclaims.

!

Mika clicks her tongue as Jessica throws a glance at her. "I'm not going in there to save some brats," Mika whispers. "Do you want me to die?"

Jessica shakes her head. "No, it's fine. That bitch should be here soon."

A torrent of water zooms through the sky like a thunderstorm and crashes into the scene. Ayaka trudges out of the smoke with a tired complexion.

"Where the hell were you?" Jessica glares at Ayaka.

"I...something... I was attacked by a group of..." Says Ayaka breathlessly.

"Then just take care of them swiftly. Aren't you SSS rank?" Mika mockingly says with a smirk.

"You..." Ayaka's mood is already very bad but Mika's insult simply pops a vein in Ayaka. However, she realises that further argument is useless so Ayaka lets it be bygone.

"I will get the survivors, where are they?" Says Ayaka, knowing Mika and Jessica's intentions ahead.

Kota shows Ayaka the location and Ayaka saves it on her phone. She could attempt to mass sanitize the entire area but the remaining survivors will drown in her water; she needs to save them first.

While Ayaka and all the other heroes are preoccupied with the terrorist incident, less attention is shifted toward the Hero Cities. Every Hero City, including the one in Chitose that Ayato is in, has a treasure vault of materials guarded by highly trained superheroes of A rank to S rank. Usually, when an intruder attempts to rob the treasure vault, several heroes from the Hero Association will be dispatched.

But...with all the terrorism going around, it's unlikely. That's the true goal of the terrorist group.

A big burly man wearing a white singlet and blue shorts attacked and killed all personnel guiding the entrance to the Chitose Hero City. He takes the elevator down as he whistles and caresses the moustache on his chin.

The street lights are off and the district is empty, many people have gone to sleep without a single notice of the attacks above.

The intruder casually strolls towards the large building at the end of the west of the city. The building is a production plant where superheroes with "supporting" superpowers help produce potions, pills, or even artifacts that can aid superheroes. Of course, within the production plant is the vault of materials.

As the intruder approaches the entrance, the two men guarding the entrance walk forward and stop him. "State your purpose and identi-"

*SPLAT*

Before the guard could finish his sentence, the intruder flicks at his head and it bursts into a crimson fountain.

?!!

The second guard, shocked by the sudden event, backs off and attempts to pull out something from within his coat. Just a second later, his vision is sent flying and he could see his headless body.
