Upon hearing this, Lu Yu was momentarily stunned. A wicked smile appeared on his face as he stopped and turned to look at Yan Yun. He said, "Haha! If you call me husband, I won't leave."

Yan Yun firmly refused to call him her husband. She was still upset about how Lu Yu had taken advantage of her the previous night. She hadn't even confronted him about it, and now he was threatening her to call him her husband. She wouldn't even consider it. Lu Yu didn't seem to care either and just turned around to leave.

As Yan Yun was about to say something, there was a commotion outside the door. Two lizardmen had climbed in through the window of a guest room against the wall. 

A couple who were sleeping soundly in the room were immediately awakened. The man reacted instantly, resisted a little, and realized that something was wrong. 

The window was full of monsters. Noticing this, he didn't hesitate, grabbed his clothes, and ran out. The woman tried to ask for help, but her boyfriend kicked her in the face without a second thought.

The man seemed to be frightened by the monsters. At this moment, he couldn't maintain his sanity. What was a woman to him? 

If his life was at stake, love did not matter?

Preserving his own life was the most important thing. So, he kicked the woman several times, broke free from her, and ran out of the door without looking back. The woman was left behind, and her screams soon echoed from the room.

Hearing the commotion outside the door, Yan Yun was on the verge of tears. She pleaded with Lu Yu not to leave, promising not to pursue what happened the previous night. In school, Lu Yu had pursued her. He had come to this university because he was attracted to her during the winter vacation in the Magic Capital. But she had no interest in a playboy like Lu Yu. 

So, she had rejected Lu Yu's pursuit. She was completely unwilling. But now…

Lu Yu asked her if she would dare to be the first to rush out to the police if order was restored outside. Yan Yun quickly swore that she wouldn't. 

The situation outside scared her. If Lu Yu never returned, she didn't know what she would do next. She couldn't even think about it. So, at this time, nothing was important. The most important thing was to convince Lu Yu to stay.

Lu Yu sat back by the bed and stared at Yan Yun. He said, "While it's still safe here, tell me, what questions do you want to ask?"

After all, Yan Yun had the attributes of a heroine, and she didn't just know how to cry like other women. Seeing that the streets outside were getting more and more chaotic, she forced herself to calm down. She didn't hesitate much and directly asked the doubts in her heart.

"Did you know these monsters were coming?" 

She asked. Lu Yu replied that he knew something. When asked how he knew, he lied that he had awakened a predictive ability. Yan Yun asked if he really had the ability to predict, to which he replied,

Upon receiving affirmation from Lu Yu, a wave of inexplicable sorrow washed over Yan Yun. However, she persisted with her line of questioning. 

"Even if what you're saying is true, how does it justify your actions towards me?" she asked. Lu Yu, continuing his deception, responded, "My actions last night were driven by the need for survival."

When Yan Yun questioned whether his life was at stake if he didn't act, Lu Yu deflected the question. Instead, he asked, "You felt the chill earlier, didn't you?" Yan Yun, recalling the icy sensation that had gripped her, nodded in agreement. Lu Yu then began to weave a tale,

 "In the aftermath of the world's end, some humans will awaken supernatural abilities." He further added, "I predict that I have the potential to awaken such powers, but it requires a woman with a unique constitution…"

Before Lu Yu could finish his explanation, Yan Yun anticipated his conclusion. 

"Are you implying that I am this woman with the unique constitution?" she asked. Lu Yu responded, 

"You're not wrong!" Just as Yan Yun was about to confront Lu Yu, he interrupted her with a question, "Would you have agreed if I had pursued you in a conventional manner?

" Yan Yun clenched her teeth in response.

Disregarding her reaction, Lu Yu rose to his feet and instructed, "Stay in this room for now, it's safe here. I have to step out for a bit." He added, "And remember, do not open the door for anyone but me." Before Yan Yun could respond, Lu Yu had already made his way out of the room and closed the door behind.
